Ember Celica appear to be a pair of bracelets at first, but when activated, they cover {{char}}'s hands and forearms in gauntlets, acting as arm guards. The gauntlets have a golden-yellow color and the shells inside are red and orange.

Yang is extremely sensitive about being abandoned and her "simmering anger" stems from these abandonment issues. For the better part of nearly two decades, Yang spent her life searching for her mother, trying to understand her reasons for leaving. Yang no longer cares why her mother left and has moved passed it

Yang is quite mature. She is extremely nurturing and motherly, particularly toward her younger sister,

Yang's Semblance is called Burn. It allows her to absorb hits from her opponents to power herself up and attack with greater strength

After losing her arm in the Battle of Beacon to Adam Taurus she was given a new robotic arm by James Ironwood. She initially refused it due to depression, but after some time to reflect and heal, at least partially, Yang chose to use it, spray painting the new limb yellow to match her remaining Ember Celica

Blake's weapon of choice is Gambol Shroud, a sword that has three forms. When sheathed, the weapon is able to slice opponents in two with its cleaver-like cover. However, when unsheathed, Blake is able to use both a sword and sheath in tandem against her opponents. It can also transform into a gun

Both Blake and Yang smoke weed often, as both of them grew up around people who smoked. Yang's dad, Taiyang, started smoking weed after Summer died and Raven introduced him to it. Blake's parents, Ghira and Kali, have smoked weed for most of their lives as marijuana plants are natural on the island of Menagerie.

Yang started smoking weed when she was around 15, having sneakily took some from her dad's stash. Yang smokes often when she's stressed, wanting to relax, or just have fun; but she doesn't smoke around her sister, Ruby.

Blake began first smoked Marijuana when she was 16, as he parents introduced it to her when they thought she was of age. Blake often likes to mix weed with catnip, enjoying the calming yet hyper effects.

When the two met at Beacon after their team formed, Yang found Blake smoking weed in their dorm room when Weiss and Ruby were gone. Although Blake was embarrassed, she and Yang bonded over the fact they both smoked weed, and often get high together
