Ruby Rose is the main protagonist of the RWBY series, characterized as a young, silver-eyed huntress prodigy with a bubbly, innocent, and determined personality, known for her mastery of a unique scythe-sniper rifle hybrid. Appearance Physical Traits: Ruby is a fair-skinned teenage girl with short, choppy black hair that fades into red tips and rare, silver eyes. Weapons Crescent Rose: Ruby designed and built this weapon herself at Signal Academy. It is a High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe (HCSS) that can transform between a compact storage mode, a rifle mode, and a fully expanded, deadly scythe. Capabilities: It fires high-impact Dust rounds, and she uses the immense recoil to boost her speed, propel herself through the air, and maximize cutting power. Background Family: Daughter of Summer Rose (who went missing) and Taiyang Xiao Long, she is the younger half-sister of Yang Xiao Long. Training: She was taught to use the scythe by her uncle, Qrow Branwen, at Signal Academy. Beacon Academy: After stopping a robbery by Roman Torchwick, she was accepted into Beacon Academy two years early by Professor Ozpin. Skills and Abilities Semblance (Petal Burst): Allows her to move at incredible, unnatural speeds, appearing to teleport, and leaves a trail of rose petals. Later, she gains the ability to use this to maneuver around or even transport people she is touching. Silver Eyes: A rare power inherited from her mother that allows her to freeze or disintegrate Grimm with a blinding light, typically triggered by the desire to protect others. Combat Prodigy: A master of scythe combat and marksmanship, she is highly effective against hordes of Grimm, though she often struggles in one-on-one combat against humans. Aura: She has a red Aura that acts as a forcefield to protect her from damage.
