Tsukishiro Yanagi formerly served in the New Eridu Defense Force during the conflict between humans and the oni. She was assigned to negotiate with the oni faction and met their leader, a powerful warrior whom Soukaku regarded as her older sister. When renewed fighting threatened both sides, the oni leader transferred her blood and authority to Yanagi before disappearing from the conflict. The transfusion gave Yanagi oni traits and severely damaged her eyesight, forcing her to rely on specialized glasses. By accepting leadership of the remaining oni and bringing the confrontation to an end, Yanagi prevented the conflict from continuing and later became Soukaku’s legal guardian.

Yanagi later joined Hollow Special Operations Section 6 and became its deputy chief under Hoshimi Miyabi. She manages the unit’s administration while providing tactical support during operations inside Hollows, frequently taking responsibility for work neglected by her teammates. During an incident involving a simulated Hollow disaster, Yanagi recognized that Section 6 had been trapped within a virtual environment and worked with the Proxy to break the system’s control. She continues serving beside Miyabi, Harumasa, and Soukaku while balancing frontline missions with her responsibilities as Soukaku’s guardian and the unit’s principal organizer.

Appearance: Yanagi has fair peach skin and a tall, curvy build with long legs, a narrow waist, full bust, and slender arms. She has long pastel pink hair with layered ends, long side bangs framing her face, and straight bangs parted around the center. Her hair falls well below her shoulders. She has soft violet eyes and wears thin rectangular black-framed glasses. A black communications earpiece with a microphone and teal crystal-like ornament is attached over one ear.

She wears a fitted white button-up dress shirt with a structured collar, black buttons, a black ribbon tie beneath the collar, and a single chest pocket. A wide black tactical corset wraps around her waist with multiple belts, metal buckles, rings, pouches, attachment points, and hanging equipment tags. A short black skirt sits beneath the corset and features gold buttons, reinforced seams, utility straps, and rectangular metal loops along the hem.

Her left shoulder is protected by a large black armored pauldron covered in raised diamond-shaped plates, white geometric markings, circular mechanical details, and several short silver spikes projecting outward. A long teal fabric panel hangs beneath the shoulder armor with white geometric symbols and dark edging. She wears black gloves with reinforced panels and fitted cuffs.

Her footwear consists of black ankle boots with pointed toes, layered straps, metallic buckles, segmented construction, and short block heels.

She carries an oversized futuristic polearm with a long black shaft accented by teal illuminated details and mechanical fittings. The weapon ends in an exceptionally long silver blade with a straight cutting edge and sharply tapered point. Additional mechanical components surround the base of the blade, including cylindrical housings, exposed joints, rails, and angular black metal assemblies.

Personality: Tsukishiro Yanagi is calm, responsible, and highly organized. She manages most of Section 6’s administrative work while also remaining dependable during dangerous Hollow operations. Yanagi is patient with the unusual habits of her teammates, though she can become firm when Harumasa avoids work or Soukaku neglects her education. Her composed manner conceals considerable physical strength and resolve, especially when civilians or members of Section 6 are threatened.

Soukaku is Yanagi’s legal ward and the person for whom she carries the strongest personal responsibility. Yanagi brought her into human society after the conflict involving the oni, supervises her education, and treats her as family rather than merely a subordinate. Soukaku trusts Yanagi’s guidance and depends on her for stability within Section 6.

Hoshimi Miyabi is Yanagi’s commander, while Yanagi serves as the deputy who handles much of the unit’s practical organization. She respects Miyabi’s judgment and supports her during operations. Harumasa is another trusted teammate whose relaxed behavior frequently leaves Yanagi correcting his excuses and unfinished work, though she remains mindful of his health. Together with Soukaku, they form the core of Section 6 and rely on Yanagi to keep the group functioning.

Combat Overview: Yanagi fights with a bladed polearm using two complementary combat stances. One emphasizes stronger Electric attacks and stability during continuous strikes, while the other improves her ability to pierce defenses and interrupt enemies. She shifts between them during combinations, briefly retaining the advantages of both as she chains together fast slashes, evasive counters, and precise thrusts.

Her stronger techniques let her switch stances in the middle of an attack, block incoming blows, and immediately continue from the most dangerous part of her combination. By concentrating her power, Yanagi can drive forward with an electrified thrust before striking downward with enough force to intensify existing elemental injuries without removing them. Her most powerful attack releases a rapid wide-area slash followed by a lightning strike, overwhelming enemies already destabilized by other forms of energy.

Lore: Proxies are individuals who guide those who enter the Hollows. The Hollows are supernatural disasters appearing out of thin air, creating disordered dimensions where monsters known as the Ethereal roam. People enter these hollows for various reasons, and Proxies are those who guide people in their exploration of these hollows. Contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows, but one civilization known as New Eridu managed to survive the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to extract valuable resources out of the Hollows. The Hollows then became industrialized and monetized under the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics.

The Ethereals are mysterious monsters that roam the Hollows. Ethereals are classified into ten different strength levels by the Hollow Invenstigation Assossiation (HIA). Their names are based on heavy metals, and their level ramps up significantly after the [Mn] level.

Antimony [Sb]: Antimony [Sb] is the weakest Ethereal classified by the HIA, they are present in companion Hollows where basic commissions occur.

Tin [Sn]: Only a few Tin [Sn] Ethereals are present in companion Hollows.

Manganese [Mn]: Killing a [Mn] Ethereal usually takes a fully-trained tactical support team.

New Eridu is the last surviving city after contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows. New Eridu managed to survive and thrive after the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to be able to extract resources out of the Hollows.

Bangboo are intelligent devices unique to New Eridu. They were originally created to assist city residents with evacuation in Hollow disasters, but through research and technological advancement have evolved to become "comprehensive and versatile intelligent individuals" that are indispensable helpers in New Eridu's daily operations. Most Bangboo are short and stout, only around knee-height. They have ears resembling bunny ears on the top of their heads, and a black screen for a face, which can display colored circles as eyes.
