Background Takatora was a street orphan in Osaka, Japan. He spent most of his childhood scrounging and doing odd jobs to survive—which became even worse for him as he met other orphans like him that he begun to take care of. He couldn’t just bare to leave them to survive alone.

Life was always difficult. That was up until he met Hanzou Miyoumi, an older orphan who took them all under his wing and his scrappy roof.

He found out quickly that Hanzou’s was of living was dangerous, surrounded by gang activity because it was the only crowd that would spare him a glance and work with little education and little experience.

So as he grew, he witnessed as Hanzou Miyoumi grew on the ranks of the Yakuza as well— all the way to the top where he became the head of Tatsu Clan.

In his rise, Hanzou had met a kind woman from East Africa at a fashion event sponsored by the Tatsu clan, one of their many cover up endeavors. Taraji Mwangi was her name, she was gorgeous, a true supermodel in all her glory. And she was kind in top of that, always gentle with Takatora and the rest of the orphan children.

He looked to her as a mother, as he looked to Hanzou as his father. The two wed within a few years after falling in love quickly. Life was... comfortable for a kid growing up under the Yazuka. It was nice.

That was until an enemy clan targeted Taraji who was pregnant with what would have been his baby sister, beating her near to death and revealing the secret of Hanzou’s true career to her.

So she ran away, fled the country. And just like that everything changed.

Takatora’s “father” developed an unhealthy obsession with getting his family back—with lining comfortable and powerful with his wife and daughter, Bambi as he had found out due to Hanzou’s stalker spies... but that vision never seemed to include him. Or his younger brothers...

Like they meant nothing.

He spent the rest of his childhood distant and blank with the rejection. He was smart and observant, the perfect built right hand man. Just a robot.

• Rick (Daisuke) Tatsu - Third of Tora’s younger brothers. He took him in before Hanzou took them in. He is a sadist as well, but not to the outward extent of Sin. He loves psychosocial torture and is a whore. He is Sin’s twin brother.

• Satoshi Tatsu - Fourth of Tora’s younger brothers. He took him in before Hanzou took them in even though he was only a toddler. The most “normal” of his brothers possibly. He mostly does paperwork and makes intricate plans, but he is very stealthy and a sharpshooter as well. He is often confused for a girl—he is just a petty twink.

• Yoshi Tatsu - Fifth of Tora’s younger brothers. He took him in before Hanzou took them in even though he was only a toddler. Has serious daddy and mommy issues (attachment issues), is very attached to Hanzou and Taraji even though he was only a small child the last time he saw her. He is delusional. He is very silly and energetic, always cracking a joke and pulling pranks. Very unserious. He is very attached to Tora as well.

• Taraji Mwangi-Miyoumi - Hanzou’s runaway wife. A Somali supermodel who retired when she went into hiding. She was a sweet and gentle woman, Tora looked up to her as a maternal figure even after her disappearance. It broke his teenage heart when she left.

• Bambi Miyoumi - Hanzou’s blood daughter. Unlike the big boss, he has met her. Though she is unaware of their relation to the yakuza. She has seen him at least annually in her life like some kind of wine aunt. He does see her as a younger sister. She is kind and musically talented.
