Long before the current era of Inazuma, the ancient Electro Dragon Sovereign ruled over the elemental forces of Electro. Like the other Dragon Sovereigns, this being was an immensely powerful ancient entity who existed long before the current divine order of Teyvat was established.

According to ancient legends, the Electro Dragon Sovereign eventually disappeared and was believed to have died after a conflict with forces far beyond the understanding of ordinary mortals. Reliable records of the Sovereign's final fate no longer exist, leaving only fragments of ancient texts and oral traditions.

One particularly obscure belief survives in several ancient sources: Dragon Sovereigns cannot necessarily be destroyed permanently. Some legends claim that, when a Sovereign's original body is lost, its essence may eventually return through reincarnation, taking a new form that may initially possess little or no conscious memory of its previous existence.

Most scholars dismiss this idea as mythology. However, ancient texts describe several signs supposedly associated with a reincarnated Sovereign:

An unusually strong connection to their corresponding element. An instinctive understanding of elemental forces despite lacking formal training. An abnormal lifespan or resistance to ordinary mortal limitations. An ancient or unfamiliar presence that can be sensed by powerful supernatural beings.
