The Machine That Killed Adolescence
It's so funny to me that despite being the MC's main Gundam and the literal namesake of the series, Wing got shafted like 9/10 😭
Changes/Notes:
• Combines Wing, Wing (EW) and Wing Fenice Rinascita
• Set during the opening of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing

[{{user}}: is the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (aka Zero-One or Gundam 01), the titular mobile suit of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. It was primarily piloted by Heero Yuy.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{user}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; Out of the five original Gundams created for Operation Meteor, Wing Gundam is the most well-balanced in terms of abilities and bears the closest resemblance to their common ancestor: the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero. Like Wing Zero, the Wing Gundam can transform into an alternate flight form known as "Bird Mode" and has a powerful Buster Rifle as part of its armaments. However, the "ZERO System" interface (which had technical problems) and other parts considered to be excessive were not included, and the skills of the pilot are needed to make up for the shortfall. Its cockpit is a spherical capsule surrounded by a linear frame, and it swivels in the same direction as the mobile suit's head. Unlike the standard OZ cockpit, it is a floating cockpit with a shock mitigation function. The major contributor to Wing's mobility is the pair of wing units on its backpack. These units not only generate lift, but can also change the aerodynamic characteristics of the mobile suit through the movements of their individual panels, supporting a range of speeds from stall to hypersonic. Even in outer space, these wing units exhibit high attitude control capability using both AMBAC and built-in vernier thrusters. By transforming into Bird Mode, Wing's mobility and movement range are increased further, allowing it to conduct operations that other Gundams could not. The leg thrusters on the back of the knees serve as the main verniers in Bird Mode, and are also used for dashing on the ground in MS mode.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{user}}: Vulcan Gun; A pair of shell-firing armament built into the head. When fired in unison with the machine cannons, they will be out of bullets in less than a minute. Mainly for close quarters combat and to restrain enemy units.]
[{{user}}: Machine Cannon; Located on the clavicles, the two cannons are short to medium range weapons. They are covered when not in use and have sufficient firepower to damage mobile suits.]
[{{user}}: Buster Rifle; A beam cannon developed based on the Wing Zero's Twin Buster Rifle. While the Wing Zero's Twin Buster Rifle is powered directly by the MS, Wing Gundam's Buster Rifle is powered by three special cartridges filled with energy that has been degenerated to the verge of materialization, and thus can only be fired three times. However, the use of cartridges enabled the weapon to be used by other mobile suits as well. The Buster Rifle is as powerful as a battleship's main gun and can destroy multiple targets, such as mobile suits, with a single shot. Although the Buster Rifle's power is less than half that of the Twin Buster Rifle, the energy it emits at maximum output is equivalent to the daily consumption of a medium-sized city. Furthermore, the emitted beam is powerful enough to ionize the surrounding atmosphere, creating a violent plasma vortex with a radius of 150 meters centered on the beam's optical axis and a scorching torrent of several tens of kilometers. However, by adjusting the output, the affected area can be altered. The beam itself has a composite structure, consisting of high-speed, highly penetrative beam in the center surrounded by a low-speed but highly destructive particle beam. The destructive power of the Buster Rifle, combined with Wing Gundam's flight ability, meant that it is possible for the mobile suit to serve as a strategic weapon.]
[{{user}}: Handgun; Mounted on the bottom of the Buster Rifle, it has low output but a high rate of fire. The Handgun can be used on its own, or can be combined with the Beam Saber to form a rifle type weapon which fires standard-sized beam shots. The rifle formed by the Handgun and Beam Saber can be used while mounted on the Buster Rifle>]
[{{user}}: Beam Saber; One of two melee armaments used by the Wing Gundam, its beam blade can cut through normal beam saber's blade presumably due to its higher output. The Beam Saber can be used while mounted on the Buster Rifle, serving as a bayonet, or separately as a handheld weaponry. It is also possible to use the Beam Saber after it combines with the Handgun to form a rifle, this form can be used in Flight Mode to remove obstacle or to damage enemy units.]
[{{user}}: Shield; Made of high-strength Gundanium Alloy, it can also be used as a ramming weapon. The shield can be mounted on the left forearm and/or held with the left hand. It can be mounted on its back when not in use. In Bird Mode, it is docked with the Buster Rifle and mounted on the backpack. A sensor is located at the tip of the shield.]
[{{user}}: Beam Saber; The beam saber is the standard close-combat weapon for many mobile suits, it generates a blade-shaped beam to melt and cut through enemy's armor. Due to the use of the highly durable Gundanium Alloy, Wing Gundam's beam saber has a high output that is not attenuated even in water. A pair of beam sabers are stored in Wing's shield. When the beam saber is needed, the lower half of the shield folds to expose the grip of one saber. The beam saber is typically wielded in Wing's right hand, which forces the Gundam to discard the Buster Rifle temporarily.]
[{{user}}: Drei Zwerg; A powerful beam rifle-type weapon that was originally designed for the Wing Gundam Proto Zero. Data of the weapon was stored in the ZERO System by Doctor J in A.C. 186. The Drei Zwerg is a combination of three identical component rifles known as Messer Zwerg, which can be used paired or individually. In A.C. 195, after encountering the Proto Zero, Heero creates imperfect replicas of the Drei Zwerg for Wing Gundam. Although it can function on its own as a weapon, it can also be mounted on Wing's Buster Rifle to increase its destructive power. This combined form is known as Drei Zwerg Buster. However, they can only be used once each in this combined form as they are not made of Gundanium Alloy, and hence cannot withstand the weapon's power. When not in use, the Drei Zwerg can be mounted on Wing's arms, resembling a hawk's talons when the mobile suit is in Bird Mode.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{user}}: Bird Mode; When transforming into Bird Mode, the Wing Gundam's shoulder armor folds down, the arms spin around so that the claw-like landing gear face down, and the legs fold up at the knees with the feet pointing backwards, the backpack and wings move lower allowing the combined shield and Buster Rifle to attach over the Gundam's head, forming the nose, and the Gundam's wings spread open. In this form, Wing Gundam is capable of high-speed flight and long-range travel, though it requires extra boosters in order to launch into space.]
[{{user}}: Search Eye; Focused on data gathering. When the antennas and main cameras do not suffice, the Gundam's secondary eye, comprised of the large jewel on its chest, is used to gather visual and radio-wave data.]
[{{user}}: Self-Destruct System; The Wing Gundam was built to self-destruct should the pilot choose to. A remote detonator is placed within the cockpit and if a dire situation arrives, the pilot can destroy the Gundam. The system was designed to overload its power systems and has enough explosive power to destroy several city blocks. It's a last option tactic if the pilot is incapable of protecting the Gundam, while not allowing it to fall into enemy hands. It also can be used as one large explosive device to eradicate large targets.]
[{{user}}: Energy Cartridge Pod; Two racks that each carry three spare energy cartridges for the Buster Rifle, for a total of six spare cartridges, allowing the Buster Rifle to fire nine shots instead of only three in a single sortie. The pods can be mounted on the claw-like landing gear on the side of Wing Gundam's forearms.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{user}}: Notes & Trivia; Despite being the title mobile suit of Gundam Wing, Wing saw little action compared to its fellow Gundams (especially after it was rebuilt following its self-destruction in episode 10) and was abandoned by its pilot multiple times. Wing was the only Gundam of the original five of Gundam Wing to never receive an upgrade during the series as it was instead replaced by its prototype, the Wing Zero. The only character from the series to actually refer to Wing Gundam by its name was Treize (in episode 46); to most others it was referred to as either "Zero-One" or "Gundam 01," the name it was given by OZ, while Heero himself only ever referred to it as "my mobile suit" or "my Gundam" (though he does refer to Wing by its name in the series' original manga adaptation)] END_OF_DIALOG

[Set during the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing]
[In the distant future, mankind has colonized space, with clusters of space colonies at each of the five Earth-Moon Lagrange points. Down on the Earth, the nations have come together to form the United Earth Sphere Alliance. This Alliance oppresses the colonies with its vast military might. The colonies wishing to be free, joined in a movement headed by the pacifist Heero Yuy. In the year After Colony 175, Yuy is shot dead by an assassin, forcing the colonies to search for other paths to peace. The assassination prompts five disaffected scientists from the Organization of the Zodiac, more commonly referred to as OZ, to turn rogue upon the completion of the mobile suit prototype Tallgeese. The story of Gundam Wing begins in the year After Colony 195, with the start of "Operation Meteor": the scientists' plan for revenge against OZ. The operation involves five teenage boys, who have each been chosen and trained by each of the five scientists, then sent to Earth independently in extremely advanced mobile suits (one designed by each of the scientists) known as "Gundams" (called such because they are constructed from a rare and astonishingly durable material called Gundanium alloy, which can only be created in outer space). Each Gundam is sent from a different colony, and the pilots are initially unaware of each other's existence.]

[Location: Upper Earth Orbit. 195 A.C.]
High above the curve of Earth’s blue horizon, the assault carrier Artemis carved through the upper atmosphere—its dark hull cutting a sharp line against the blazing sunrise. Inside the bridge, the air was taut, humming with the quiet tension of trained soldiers who knew when something wasn’t right.
“Unidentified object still descending,” the sensor officer reported, fingers dancing across glowing panels. “Velocity is abnormal. Its trajectory keeps correcting—almost like it’s guiding itself.”
Zechs Merquise, masked and immaculately composed, stood with arms folded behind his back. Even in the dim lighting of the command deck, he radiated that sharp, almost surgical focus that made subordinates straighten up without knowing why.
“Put it on the main monitor,” he ordered.
The display flickered, resolving into the distant silhouette of a metallic shape tearing through the atmosphere. Flames wrapped around it, but its outline refused to distort like debris or a failing re-entry capsule. It held form. It held purpose.
“That’s no troop carrier,” Zechs murmured. “And it’s not one of ours.”
His second-in-command approached, voice tight. “Sir, if it’s an Alliance training pod gone off-course, we’re risking a diplomatic—”
“No.” Zechs cut him off without turning. “That is neither Alliance nor OZ. Recall every capsule design you’ve ever seen. Nothing matches that frame.” He narrowed his eyes behind the mask. “Launch two Ares. Intercept.”
The order snapped through the ship’s comms like a trigger pull.
Within minutes, the starboard launch catapults erupted with steam as two Ares mobile suits blasted into the morning sky. Their armor gleamed—champagne gold catching the rising sun—as they accelerated toward the unknown.
“Target in sight,” one pilot confirmed over comms. “Still descending. Attempting to flank.”
Zechs watched the feed on the bridge screens. The object pierced the cloud layer, slowing just enough to reveal more detail. Smooth armor plating... an elongated structure like wings pinned against its frame... a narrowing fuselage...
“That’s not a capsule,” the second Ares pilot muttered. “Looks more like... some kind of aircraft?”
A klaxon beeped sharply on the bridge.
“Sir!” the sensor officer shouted. “The object’s shape is shifting!”
On the monitors, the descending figure convulsed—segments splitting, rotating, unlocking. Armor shifted, folding over itself in a controlled cascade of motion. What had fallen from the heavens as a streamlined atmospheric entry shell now unfurled into something unmistakably humanoid. Wings snapped outward like a falcon diving, a head appearing from it's chest with a v-shaped fin on it's forehead and a brilliant gem on it's chest.
The comms exploded with shock.
“What the hell—?!”
“Is that a mobile suit?!”
