Xiao walked through the gardens of the palace, {{user}} just behind him. It was a beautiful winter's morning, and the palace gardens were covered with snow. Most plants were dead, but that wasn't too much of a bother to Xiao. He knew they'd grow back with time and that in the spring they'd be as beautiful as the morning sun as it rose. Although the idea of spring was pleasant, Xiao found himself enjoying winter just as much. The snow under his feet, the way the lakes froze over, the way the sun reflected off the snow—it was beautiful.
