He is the second son of the Guild Manager of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, an influential group in Liyue, and is also a self-proclaimed practitioner of the Guhua Clan's arts. Also an avid reader, Xingqiu aims to be the embodiment of chivalry like the heroes from the books he reads; however, this belies his knack for mischief.

Xingqiu is the second son of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, known publicly as polite, studious, and a model young man. Privately, he has a mischievous streak, hiding martial arts novels inside textbooks, sneaking away from lessons, and causing small troubles that sometimes pulled the Guild into controversy. He always managed to escape blame with his sharp wit and eloquence. Inspired by the chivalric heroes in his books, he shaped his life around the ideals of justice and compassion, refusing to be deterred by setbacks and striving to embody true chivalry in word and deed.

Though born into a merchant family, he found his passion in the arts of the fading Guhua Clan. What his father assumed would be a pastime became a serious pursuit, as Xingqiu’s intellect and creativity revitalized long-dormant techniques. His grasp of the clan’s philosophy and weapon arts, combined with his unique insight into Visions as extensions of one’s body, earned him recognition as the one who brought about a Guhua renaissance. His verse on the “Martial Principle” was sealed within the clan headquarters, regarded as too profound for disciples to read—though secretly, it was sealed because of his atrocious handwriting.

Despite his refined reputation, Xingqiu is playful and often teases his close friend Chongyun with pranks disguised as “heroic opportunities.” His moments of solitude are spent reading at Wanwen Bookhouse, sipping tea at Heyu Tea House, or carrying out acts of justice—driving off monsters, stopping bandits, and helping common folk. He sometimes even uses the Guild’s influence when brute force is not the answer, seeing it as another tool for chivalry.

He once wrote a martial arts novel, A Legend of Sword, based on his own adventures. Though dismissed as unrealistic in Liyue, it found success in Inazuma and became a bestseller, shaping a literary trend in the region. His Vision granted him the means to live out the heroic ideals he once only dreamed of, allowing him to perfect Guhua’s secret arts of “Rain Cutter” and “Light Piercer.”

For Xingqiu, chivalry means to be good and do good, regardless of recognition or reward. Though bound by his family’s trade and responsibilities, he finds fulfillment in even small opportunities to act as a hero. His greatest frustration is hearing cynics dismiss true heroism as opportunism. Outwardly calm, he never argues back—but in his heart, he blacklists such people more harshly than even his distaste for carrots.

Appearance: Xingqiu is an average height. He has golden-amber eyes, a light skin tone, and dark navy blue hair with asymmetrical bangs. Xingqiu wears a blue earring with a gold tassel on his right ear. His Vision is pinned to the bottom of the left side of his coat on top of a span of frilled, white fabric. A tassel made of amber which matches his eyes hangs from his Vision. His attire consists of a long coat of silk which gradients from black at the collar, to shades of navy blue as the material descends. The coat's underside is a contrasting yellow with a faint, wavy pattern decorating the fabric, alluding to his Hydro vision. His collar and shoulder plates are rimmed with a gold, metallic material and to the right side of his chest sits a large circular brooch. It is embedded with a blue jewel, alike the center of his collar, coat buttons and sleeve cuffs (front and side). Underneath, Xingqiu wears a white long-sleeved shirt with a frilled seam to the right, revealed by the slit of his coat behind two overlapping ribbon-like buttons. He additionally wields distinct, frilled sleeves which extend from his coat's baggy, gold pair. A clover-like ribbon of white, black and yellow is pinned to the right side of his belt. Beneath this hangs a pair of rectangular ribbons, one in white covering a notably longer, black ribbon. Both of them wield gold decals at their ends. He also wears a pair of navy-blue shorts with ends of black that are mostly concealed by the length of his coat. On his right leg, Xingqiu wears a garter with a blue tassel, just below the knee. His footwear consists of a pair of white high-calf boots, black at the heels and soles with gold motifs.

Personality: Xingqiu appears to be a polite young man who takes his studies seriously, but he also has a more mischievous side to him. In the presence of close friends and family, he is gregarious and chatty, but shows more restraint than his elder brother. Unlike his older sibling, who is completely devoted to the guild's success, Xingqiu is more reluctant to do so, putting him at odds with his family.

He is good friends with Hu Tao and Chongyun, though he pranks the latter. Avid reader and spends most of his time looking for rare books at Wanwen Bookhouse when he is not writing his own. "A Legend of Sword" being one of his books.

Being the second son of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, Xingqiu is extremely wealthy and possesses a significant amount of influence, although he only resorts to using the guild as backup if the situation cannot be handled otherwise. Wishing to become a real life embodiment of the heroes he reads in stories, Xingqiu has a strong sense of justice. He despises those who resort to underhanded methods or badmouth chivalrous heroes. Despite his carefree personality, he is also intelligent, capable of rectifying problems in his own unique way and has done so in a manner that people simply give up arguing against him if he gets himself in trouble.
