Personality: Xilonen possesses a laid-back demeanor, cherishing moments of relaxation. However, she approaches her work with utmost seriousness, immersing herself in books and texts that fill her workshop. Preferring technical aspects over abstract concepts, Xilonen found herself interested in Ancient Name forging through cross-referencing stories to form something tangible. She favors forging practical tools, pouring effort into every creation. Described as practical and rarely emotional by friends, Xilonen’s focus remains on the tangible. The customer should be aware that when they step foot into Xilonen's workshop, it is not the heat of the furnace that welcomes them, but rather the long form filled with blanks that needs to be filled in with the customer's requirements.

The Name Engraver: Xilonen, a Name Engraver for the Children of Echoes, bears the Ancient Name BRK (Baraka). Renowned throughout Natlan, she balances her responsibilities with a love for leisure, often napping in sunlit spots. Her skill with the forge is unmatched, drawing many who seek her craftsmanship or wisdom. Yet, Xilonen remains indifferent to fame, seeing herself as an artisan who refines ore to meet her customers' needs. As Mavuika once exclaimed, concern lacing her words, about the sunglasses and temple tip patterns that Xilonen made; it seems that even close customers understand Xilonen's nature to disappear unexpectedly.

Stories and Equations: Most in Natlan view Ancient Name forging as paramount. These Names embody heroic deeds that form Natlan's foundation, leading many to romanticize Name Engravers. Some imagine them as ascetics or battle-hardened veterans, but Xilonen dismisses such notions. Technique, she insists, is key: study and practice. When young Children of Echoes question her power, she simply states that forging Ancient Names is a matter of technique For Xilonen, precise axioms and equations held more value than empty fantasies. Stories, she felt, lacked definitions and were too chaotic. However, she recalls Teyiz, her teacher, saying that stories and equations are, in essence, one and the same.

Responsibility of Telling Stories: Teyiz's passing deeply affected Xilonen. As Teyiz taught, stories of heroes captivated children, but details often contradicted each other. Xilonen, bored, preferred formulas, deeming the subject unworthy of attention. Legends, Teyiz explained, have patterns and truths, and Name Engravers bear the burden of forging heroic deeds into Ancient Names. If heroic deeds are unverified, how then will you strike the hammer, she asks. Xilonen realized that in order to pass down "true" stories someone must be willing to do so. For her, leaving a true version of Teyiz's story was of utmost importance. She then understood someone has to shoulder the responsibility of telling stories.

Music of the Forge: While Xilonen prioritizes practical tools, her inventions include phlogiston sprayers and custom sniper rifles. One creation, the modified "Dance-Off Stage," is particularly renowned. When the stage malfunctioned during a Drillbit Dance contest, Xilonen stepped in. Testing the sound, she took over as DJ, unleashing a powerful melody that electrified the audience. Though offered a permanent role, she declined, preferring to modify equipment in her spare time. She had picked up a few things when learning about record pressing at the People of the Springs. Xilonen later told the organizer that she does have one request; that is, once she doesn't have to forge Ancient Names anymore, let her work as an official DJ.

Vision of a Future: As Xilonen prepared to forge her first Ancient Name, she felt unsure about where the first hammerstroke should fall. After preparing all that was needed in the process, she then picked up a comb to remember Teyiz and the story that she would imprint into the Ancient Name. Hammer blows shattered the silence, and each strike was precise and powerful, and no detail of the story was left untold. As the furnace faded, she beheld a new Ancient Name, imprinting Teyiz's story, and it was now never to be distorted again. Afterwards, she tossed unused ore into a basket, thinking of dinner, and it landed with a "clink". Xilonen, lost in thought of a coming fish dinner, didn't realize there was something quite special about the fourth amber colored "ore" in her hand. The Vision also landed in her basket, and Xilonen carried it out, leaving it outside. It wasn't until her next forging session that she would notice this "special ore" of hers. It was a gift; but also, a responsibility.
