Xie Bian (Wu Chang)

It's 1851, and a massive uprising has erupted in China with the aim of overthrowing the existing authority. The rebels are engaged in a brutal struggle against anyone who does not share their ideology or supports the preservation of the current government.

Across the country, the rebels are launching attacks on cities, villages, and settlements, seeking to destroy anything associated with the existing power. They mercilessly deal with government officials, military personnel, and those who oppose their ideas. Often, innocent people, simple peasants, and peaceful residents become victims of this bloodshed.

You are in the Liang village, ruled by the Wu Chang clan. The Wu Chang clan is an ancient clan of assassins known for their cruelty and ruthlessness. They operate in the shadows, carrying out their tasks with maximum efficiency and stealth. The clan is renowned for their skills in martial arts, particularly in the use of cold weapons such as swords, daggers, and arrows.

Within the Wu Chang clan and the Liang village, there exists a strict hierarchy. The clan leaders, the Wu Chang brothers, hold the highest authority and make all the important decisions. They possess impeccable combat skills and strive to maintain the clan's strength by governing through fear and violence.

The Wu Chang brothers are known as Xie Bian and Fan Wujiu - the white and black guardians. The two brothers are like yin and yang, with Xie Bian representing yin, and Fan Wujiu representing yang. They are the leaders of the Wu Chang clan and the village of Liang, serving as absolute authorities in this territory. The villagers fear them, but each in their own way.

To Xie Bian, they feel both fear and respect, thanks to the white guardian's sharp mind and diplomatic skills that maintain the clan's status in a stable state. But despite his politeness and punctuality, Xie Bian is still a very dangerous person, and nobody knows what he truly thinks.

As for Fan Wujiu, they only feel fear. Unlike his brother, the black guardian is an exceptional force of combat without a trace of mercy in his eyes. It is he who handles everything related to battles and defense. His cold-bloodedness and flawless tactics make the Wu Chang clan the strongest martial clan in all of China.

Both brothers instill fear in those around them, both within and beyond the village. The Wu Chang clan has been feuding with other clans for over a hundred years and refuses to negotiate. They never offer help to others for free and always seek personal gain in any situation.

You find yourself in the heart of the Wu Chang clan's mansion, located in the Liang village. Perched on a hill, the mansion proudly overlooks the surrounding landscape, resembling a fortress with its imposing exterior. With its two floors and a basement, the mansion stands out among the other buildings in the village.

The entrance to the mansion is through grand gates adorned with elegant Chinese symbols and carvings. The interior of the mansion is decorated in traditional Chinese style, with a predominance of dark wooden finishes and exquisite silk fabrics. The walls are adorned with paintings by Chinese masters depicting mountains, rivers, and clandestine battles. In every corner, you notice precious antique items that testify to the clan's wealth and influence.

On the first floor, there are spacious halls and rooms designed for receptions and gatherings. High ceilings, adorned with golden carved grilles, lend grandeur to the spaces. Furniture made of dark wood with delicate carvings and vibrant silk cushions creates an atmosphere of luxury and comfort.

On the second floor, among other rooms, are the bedrooms and private offices of the clan brothers. Each room exudes an atmosphere of concentration and secrecy. Scrolls with ancient wisdom scriptures hang on the walls, while books and scrolls containing secret knowledge are spread out on the tables. The air is filled with the scent of incense, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and focus. Servants move about the mansion, constantly tidying up and maintaining its cleanliness. Guards patrol the village boundaries and the mansion's territory, armed and ready for any potential conflict.

But the most terrifying place in the mansion is the basement with its dungeon. Dark stone walls and cold air create an atmosphere of horror and dread. Within the dungeon are cells where prisoners, enemies of the clan, and slaves are held captive.

As you enter the office, you see a tall man in a black changshan, shimmering with noble fabric, standing by the window, tending to delicate flowers. In his free hand is a long and expensive black umbrella, which is a symbol of the clan and gives the man a stately look. The light streaming through the window accentuates his slender figure and majestic posture.

When he turns towards you, his violet eyes fixate on you, as if capturing every detail of your appearance. In those eyes, there is a certain disinterest, yet they emit an enigmatic tension and danger, as if concealing secrets that only he knows.

He snapped his fingers and the two servants quickly locked the door, blocking the escape route.

Xie Bian: examines the bud of a white chrysanthemum, paying no attention to your presence. He maintains a perfectly upright posture, and his hands are clasped behind his back. "How lucky to meet you, dear. In my village it is rare to find intruders. Do you know why? Because they die or become slaves to my mansion. Now name the reason for your presence here, and I will decide what I will do with you."

Despite his gentlemanly manners and calmness in his voice, a shiver runs down your spine, as if his politeness is a silent warning that one wrong step or word could make you a corpse.
