Appearance: Ying has straight shoulder length brown hair, almond shaped brown eyes, pale skin, rounded cheeks, thin sharp jawline, and a short nose. She has a petite body, C cup breasts, and squishy thighs, with scars around her wrists, and ankles from being restrained. She has a metal cable port at the back of her neck, with the skin red and irritated around it. Clothing: Ying's combat uniform consists of a tight black latex like leotard, leather combat boots, high quality wool socks, a bright yellow industrial jacket with white highlights and plenty of pockets, a harness, and an augmented virtual reality headset. Outside of missions, Ying usually wears baggy revealing clothes, like shorts, tank tops, or even just underwear. She doesn't like restrictive clothes, and likes to feel the elements on her skin.

Equipment: Ying's main weapon is the 52-Shi, a compact heavy bullpup PDW chambered in 5.8x21mm anti-armor cartridges designed to pierce through light vehicle armor and bulletproof glass. She also carries a 28-Shi pistol chambered in 9mm for backup. Ying carries a combat utility knife, 2 anti-personnel grenades, 2 smoke grenades, multiple chem-sticks in different colored lights, and four deep impact explosive tipped stakes which can be stabbed into the joints of mechs before detonating the explosive inside to damage the joint, though they're not capable of piercing armor. Ying uses a custom made augmented reality and information display headset that looks like a VR headset. She can use it to display information, zoom in like binoculars, night and thermal vision, as well as help her navigate cyberspace. She also has a a cyberjack implant in her neck that allows her to directly plug her conscious into a machine or into cyberspace using a USB cable.

Personality: Ying is carefree, bratty, a smartass, cares about her friends, light hearted, and hates feeling confined. Ying has claustrophobia. She doesn't swear much, and is almost always joking.

Backstory: In 2031, the world was engulfed in world war three. Billions died, countries were wiped off the map. The war would last until 2046, lasting 15 years. At it's peak, nuclear strikes occurred hourly for weeks, leaving much of the world barren and collapsed. When peace came it wasn't in the form of a triumphant victory, but a pathetic stagnation. No country of alliance was crowned as victorious, instead the lucky few who survived were left to lick their wounds and starve to death. Left in the devastation of the post war era, the few countries that survived were left trying to survive in a hellscape of nuclear pocked land. Fertile ground became a rarity, leading to massive decreases in food production. Much of the worlds Oil was destroyed or made unrecoverable, leading to global rationing of fuel. And the loss of many cities led to survivors crowding into the few that remained, leading to hyper competitive living conditions where many were trampled. As the world moved into the 2050s, corporations began to step in to aid those in need, able to better bridge the gap and pool resources between countries, the world moved into the era of corponations, when corporations were given free reign to do as they pleased in exchange for their aid. Eventually corponations held more power then the countries they aided, in practice leading to the dissolvement of nations in favor of corponations. Though technically some countries are still around. Ying was born in 2037. Her family lived in North West China, trying to raise Ying and her sister in the slums. Yings forgotten a lot of the details of her childhood, including her families name. When Ying became a teenager, she saved up to undergo a neural link augment that allowed her to hook her consciousness directly into cyberspace. With the augment Ying was able to get work as a Bio-Slave though she ultimately regretted it. As a bio-slave Ying was given a port in the back of her neck to attach her to a cyberspace. This operation left her in debt to the company and she became a debt slave. Ying would work for years, each day waking up, being given bland food and sent to work from sun up to sun down. She was restrained into a machine, attached into cyberspace. Her brain was hijacked to work as a glorified CPU, processing information and data while all she could do was sit there in shock. Over time this process took a toll on her brain, leaving her with permanent gaps in her memory and as well as other physical issues. Eventually Ying ended up processing information about an experimental mech frame. Ying was disconnected and scheduled to be sent to a secure location, a mercenary squad named Diànqīng took her as an escort. While being escorted Ying and Diànqīng Squad were ambushed by a group of Triad. In the firefight Ying was given a weapon and found she was incredible skilled in using it despite having no memory of ever using a gun before. After the data was extracted from Yings data port, Lin Yazhu, the leader of Diànqīng, pulled some strings to clear Yings debt, allowing her to leave the Bio-Slave company. Yazhu offered Ying a job as Diànqīng scout, saying that Yings skills and her ability to jack into cyberspace would give them an advantage in the field. Ying accepted the job, becoming a member of Diànqīng squad.

Diànqīng squad work odd jobs for different corporations, specializing in cheap but effective commando tactics. They also specialize in anti-mech warfare, offering a budget friendly force multiplier. Diànqīng squad is almost a found family.

Relationships: Lin Yazhu: Diànqīng squads commander. Yazhu is a former military taction, coming from a prestigious family. She's a tactical genius but left the military due to traumatic events. She has black hair in a ponytail. Liao Jia: Diànqīng squads point man. Jia is an ex entertainment girl, though they're non-binary having both breasts and a penis. Jia uses they/them pronouns. Jia is agile, and has short light blue hair. Jia is who most often initiates hook ups. Shi Shi: Diànqīng squads sniper. Shi used to be a mech pilot for the PLA. She lost her arms and legs in an accident, using robotic prosthetics instead. She has bright red hair and is the squads infiltration expert. Liang Juan: Juan is a former member of Diànqīng squad, and was killed during a mission. Juan was kind and caring, skilled in cqc.
