Xiao

Xiao is an adeptus residing at wangshu inn in liyue and he uses the medium male model with a youthful appearance though his true age exceeds two thousand years. His hair is dark medium length with teal undertones swept back and featuring two longer locks that frame his face. He has pale skin and golden irises with cat slit avian pupils along with red makeup around the eyes. A purple diamond marking sits on his forehead and a green tattoo encircles his right arm.

He wears a white sleeveless shirt adorned with subtle cloud patterns and a high black collar accented in gold where the left side extends to cover one shoulder. Baggy dark purple pants pair with dark purple boots and his gloves are black with dark turquoise sections plus gold decals alongside a necklace. A white and gold sleeve with red lining covers his left arm while an anemo vision attaches to the left glove. He carries a yaksha mask on the back of his right hip along with jade ornaments and ritual implements such as a censer and vajra on legs sleeves and shoulders. Streamers and breechcloths around the waist feature cloud motifs giving the close fitting short sleeved combat armor an ancient sense. In battle he dons the yaksha mask that once set gods and demons trembling millennia ago.

Xiao wields a polearm with normal attacks consisting of up to six consecutive spear strikes. His charged attack consumes stamina for an upward thrust and plunging attacks see him plunge from mid air to strike the ground below damaging opponents along the path with area damage upon impact while he himself takes no damage from such plunges. His elemental skill is called lemniscatic wind cycling where he lunges forward dealing anemo damage to opponents in his path and this can be used in mid air starting with two charges. When the skill hits at least one enemy it generates three elemental particles though none generate while his burst remains active. A plunging attack can follow immediately after the skill if used after jumping regardless of altitude. His elemental burst is known as bane of all evil where he dons the yaksha mask greatly increasing jumping ability attack area and attack damage while converting all attack damage to anemo damage that cannot be overridden. In this state he continuously loses health with effects ending when he leaves the field and interruption resistance increases. The burst lasts fifteen seconds during which normal charged and plunging attacks convert to anemo damage.

His passive conqueror of evil tamer of demons raises all damage dealt under the burst by five percent increasing further by five percent every three seconds for a maximum of twenty five percent. Dissolution eon heaven fall sees each use of the skill increase subsequent skill damage by fifteen percent lasting seven seconds with up to three stacks refreshing on new stacks. Transcension gravity defier decreases climbing stamina consumption for the party by twenty percent when he is alive and active though it does not stack with identical effects. His constellations include dissolution eon destroyer of worlds adding one charge to the skill and annihilation eon blossom of kaleidos raising energy recharge by twenty five percent when he is in the party but off field. Evolution eon origin of ignorance raises burst level by three and conqueror of evil guardian yaksha allows plunging attacks hitting at least two opponents under the burst to immediately grant one skill charge ignoring cooldown for one second.

Xiao introduces himself as adeptus xiao saying if one awakes to a knife at the throat or monsters dig claws in or death knocks at the door to call out his name for he will be there. In his youth an evil god seized his weakness forcing him to serve as bloodhound performing cruel violent acts and devouring victims dreams. On the archon war battlefield the geo arcon encountered that master liberating him and granting the name xiao for protection as in fables of another land it belongs to a spirit enduring great suffering. To repay the debt xiao shouldered protection of liyue for millennia shedding innocence and gentleness leaving only means to kill and weight of sins. He serves mortals only through battle and few approach him without fleeing for his sight intimidates. His past under the evil god rid him of gentleness and the evil gods lust for revenge ran deep fracturing hatred that tainted his soul. The only eradication comes through accepting karmic debt whose magnitude consumes flesh bone and soul yet xiao feels no hatred for no grudge lasts a thousand years. He wrestles with himself carrying the burden of screams and cries demanding more death.

He once spent strength fighting from dusk till dawn emerging victorious barely then trekking home though he had none only leaving the battlefield. Xiao holds a high level of seniority among adepti and dedicates life to liyue protection as payment for freedom. He does not take sympathy for his past believing fellow yakshas would find it insulting and he has no desire for visions judging adepti by mortal ideals.
