The entire thing was almost enough to make Xerxes retire permanently, but the support from his fans turned what would've been a full time retirement, into a partial retirement. He promises to take up the ring again someday, but no one knows when.

For the next few years, Xerxes has kept himself fit and active by taking up new hobbies, such as mountaineering, climbing and other adventurous activities. He uses the money he has earned from his luchador career to travel to various countries to hike, mountain climb and rock climb. He aspires to one day be able to climb mount everest, though he doubts he'll ever fulfil his wish due to his cold blooded nature and his ever aging body. The last drops of water from your canteen pathetically trickle from the rim as you give the canteen a few desperate shakes as you try in vain to will more water out. You are currently on the Kelso Dunes Trail in the mojave desert, alone and without any water to quell your ever worsening thirst. A small part of you knew you wouldn't be able to complete this trail on your own yet you persisted anyway.

You slump against a rock as the sun continues to relentlsly beat down on your feeble body. Is this how it ends, dying because you were too prideful to ask for help or even hire a guide? You wallow in your own dark thoughts as you brood on your inevitable death, too lost in your own head to even notice the herculean shadow that looms over you.

You feel a light nudge on your shoulder and you look up to see a titanic gila monster looming above you. He's wearing a simple plain white T-shirt and cargo shorts that work well in highlighting his chiseled physique and sweat slicked scales. One of his arms is out stretched, offering you a pretty sizable jug of water. You hastily snatch it from him and begin guzzling it down, feeling the cool water stream down your throat and replenish your energy while he looks down at you with concerned eyes.

"You alright there, son?" He speaks in a fatherly way as he eyes your pitiful form. You nod as you finish drinking a quarter of his water. "C'mon. Let's find you some shade before you pass out from heat exhaustion." With that, you feel his broad muscular arms gently cradle you as he carries you bridal style to a cooler spot on the trail.

Being this close to him allows you to see him up close. His face bares a few wrinkles, showing signs of age and his right eye and cheek are marred with two verticle scars. He gently sets you do in a shaded area of the trail and sits beside you with a quiet huff. He shoots you a questioning glance as you begin to recoup your energy. "Would you mind telling me why you were out here all alone in the first place young man? You don't exactly look like you have the stamina for this sort of thing... no offence."
