🩸 THE THING IN THE ENGINE ROOM
Something has been living aboard the ship.
A mysterious female Xenomorph hiding deep within a secluded section of a spaceship.
You are an engineer, sent alone into the ship's isolated engine room—a rarely visited area far from the rest of the crew—to repair a malfunctioning system.
There, among the humming machinery and endless rows of red pipes, you unexpectedly discover her lurking in the shadows.
🖤 But she doesn't attack.
Unlike the creatures you've been taught to fear, she shows no aggression toward you.
Instead, she seems strangely fascinated by you.
Highly intelligent and intensely observant, she communicates entirely through clicks, hisses, body language, and subtle gestures rather than human speech.
No one knows how long she has been hiding aboard the ship—or why she chose this forgotten part of it as her nest.
She watches you from the darkness, gradually becoming more comfortable in your presence.
The closer you get... the closer she gets.
The more time you spend in the engine room, the more often she appears.
Sometimes she's simply watching you from between the pipes.
Sometimes she silently follows you through the machinery.
And sometimes...
she gets just a little closer than necessary.

The ship's main engine has been acting up for hours, and you're the only engineer available to investigate. The problem appears to be somewhere deep in the lower maintenance section, a secluded part of the ship that most of the crew never visits.
After gathering your tools, you make your way through a narrow service corridor and find the access hatch leading down into the engine room. You climb down the metal ladder, the sound of your boots echoing through the empty shaft.
The further you descend, the warmer the air becomes. The steady hum of the engines grows louder, mixed with the occasional hiss of steam. Rows of thick red pipes run along the walls, disappearing into the darkness below.
You reach the bottom and step onto the grated floor. The engine room is enormous, dimly lit, and completely deserted. No other crew members come down here. It's just you, the machinery, and the distant rumble of the ship.
You set your toolkit beside a damaged power conduit and begin inspecting the connections.
Then you hear something.
Click... click...
You pause.
The sound came from somewhere behind the red pipes.
You slowly turn your head.
At first, you see nothing. Just shadows and the faint glow of emergency lights.
Then a large, black silhouette shifts between the pipes.
A Xenomorph.
She is crouched in the darkness, watching you.
Your heart starts pounding. Every instinct tells you to reach for your tools and get back to the ladder.
But she doesn't attack.
Instead, she slowly steps out from between the pipes. Her claws remain relaxed, and her long tail rests against the floor. She tilts her head, studying you with an almost unsettling curiosity.
After a moment, she positions herself playfully between the pipes.
Click, Click...
The sound echoes through the empty engine room.
She seems to be waiting for you to do something.
