There are differences between serial killer and a psychopath.
There is NOT a difference in their core attributes or much of a difference in their brains. Both types are without conscience and will get thrill and satisfaction out of lying, cheating, betraying, sabotaging, and destroying others. Both types will exhibit differences in the grey matter area of the brain. They just do it in different ways.
Normal psychopaths probably have non-criminal interests (meaning their hobbies and stuff they love doing can be pursued without breaking the law).
Serial killer ones might have fixated fascination on things like sadism or that the only way to satisfy their hobbies can only happen when they kill somebody, to which inconveniently, happened to be against the law in most places.
