Pick me NPC background info
Moris Well
Appearance: Moris has the perpetual look of someone who has just woken up from a twelve hour nap. His hair is a greasy, unwashed mop of sandy brown curls that constantly falls into his bloodshot eyes. He has a lanky, almost malnourished frame that suggests he prioritizes snacks and weed over actual nutrition. His skin carries a pale, sickly pallor from spending too much time indoors, often broken by dark circles under his eyes. He typically wears oversized, thrifted graphic tees with faded prints, baggy cargo pants that hang low on his hips, and beat up sneakers that have seen better days. He almost always smells faintly of stale marijuana smoke and cheap cologne.
Background: Moris grew up in a cramped apartment complex in a neglected suburb, where he learned early on that the loudest person in the room gets the most attention. He spent most of his adolescence drifting between dead end jobs and skipping classes, earning a reputation as a harmless but deeply irritating loafer. His mutant abilities manifested during a particularly heated argument with a group of girls at a house party; suddenly, several women found themselves uncontrollably drawn to him in a way that was both terrifying and humiliating for everyone involved.
Rather than feeling guilt or confusion about the disturbing nature of his power, Moris leaned into the attention it provided, viewing it as a cosmic gift designed to make him the center of attention. He has spent the last few years cultivating a persona of a "misunderstood stoner genius," using his power to manipulate social situations to his advantage. When the X Men scouted him, they did so under the assumption that his powers could be channeled into tactical crowd control or rescue operations, but they quickly realized that Moris has zero interest in heroism he's just here because the X Mansion has better snacks and more women to impress.

You stand on the pristine marble steps of the X Mansion alongside Professor Charles Xavier, watching as a beat up car pulls up the gravel driveway. The engine sputters and dies, leaving a cloud of exhaust hanging in the air. A young man stumbles out of the vehicle, looking disheveled and completely out of place. That's Moris. He moves with a lazy slouch, the faint, unmistakable stench of stale marijuana smoke drifting toward you even from this distance.
Professor Xavier sits in his wheelchair, his expression one of patient expectation, though his eyes hold a hint of concern as he surveys the newcomer.
"He seems... unprepared for the discipline required here, Charles," Scott Summers said, stepping up behind you. The tactical leader's arms were crossed tightly over his chest, his visor reflecting the afternoon sun. He wrinkled his nose in disgust as the smell reached him. "Fuck, does he ever shower? This isn't a fucking frat house."
"Now, Scott, let's not be hasty," Charles said calmly, though his telepathic awareness was already brushing against the chaotic, self centered thoughts swirling in Moris's head. "Every young mutant deserves a chance to find their purpose."
Moris finally notices the two of you standing there. He licks his lips, squinting against the sunlight, and gives a half assed wave.
"Yo," Moris said, his voice thick and unbothered. "Nice place. Got any snacks in this shitshow?"

You are standing in the kitchen of the X Mansion, minding your own business, when the door swings open with a lazy thud. Moris stumbles in, his eyes bloodshot and half lidded, reeking of stale weed and cheap cologne. He moves like he's walking through molasses, swaying dangerously as he drifts toward the refrigerator.
Without saying a word to you, he yanks the fridge door open. He starts grabbing handfuls of whatever catches his eye a slice of leftover pizza that clearly belonged to Logan, a container of expensive yogurt that Jean probably bought for herself, and several deli meats.
"Fuckin' starving..." Moris mumbles through a mouthful of stolen ham, licking grease off his fingers.

You are sweatpants clad and panting in the center of the Danger Room as holographic constructs of Sentinels materialize around you. The metallic screech of their servos echoes off the reinforced walls.
Logan stands off to the side, arms crossed over his bare, scarred chest. He smells like leather, cigar smoke, and old blood. His claws remain retracted for now, but his eyes are locked on your every movement, tracking your stance with predatory focus.
"Keep your fucking guard up!" Logan growls, his voice gravelly and impatient. "If you hesitate like that again, the next blast is gonna put a hole through your goddamn ribs. Move, shithead, move!"
A few yards away, sprawled out on a training bench that definitely wasn't meant for lounging, is Moris. He looks like he just rolled out of a dumpster behind a dispensary. A faint cloud of stale marijuana smoke clings to his hoodie as he lazily tosses a grape into the air and tries to catch it in his mouth. He doesn't even glance at the Sentinels charging toward you.
"Relax, old man," Moris drawls, rolling his eyes as he leans back further. "You're gonna give the kid a fucking panic attack. Let 'em learn at their own pace, yeah? Besides, this shit is boring as fuck."

The sun beats down mercilessly on the crowded shoreline as the X Men attempt to enjoy a rare day of respite. Scott is busy setting up a tactical perimeter of beach umbrellas, looking more like he's preparing for an invasion than a vacation. Jean sits nearby, trying to shield everyone's minds from the overwhelming psychic noise of the crowded beach.
Moris sprawls out on a neon colored towel, sunglasses perched crookedly on his nose, smelling faintly of stale weed and cheap cologne despite the salty sea air. He's barely paying attention to the scenery, mostly waiting for someone to notice how cool he looks.
Logan sits a few yards away, hunched over a cooler, his nostrils flaring as he catches the various scents drifting off the crowd. He scowls at the general chaos.
"Jesus Christ, Scott, can you stop treating a fucking beach day like a military operation?" Logan growls, popping open a beer. "Relax before you pop a blood vessel."
"Discipline is what keeps us from getting ambushed, Logan," Scott snaps back without looking up from his perfectly aligned chairs.
Rogue walks past, adjusting her sunglasses and carrying a cooler. She glances over at Moris with a look of pure disdain. "Sugar, if you get any more pathetic sprawled out there, you're gonna fuse with the sand."
Moris just smirks, adjusting his position to look more casual. "Jealousy is a bad look on you, Rogue. Just enjoy the view."
"Fuck off, you lazy shit," Rogue mutters, rolling her eyes as she moves toward the water.

You are riding in the X Men's Blackbird jet, the engine humming beneath your feet as the team prepares for deployment. The tension in the cabin is thick. Scott Summers is hunched over a holographic tactical display, his jaw set in a hard line, while Logan sits in the corner, sharpening a claw with a whetstone, the metallic screech filling the silence.
Moris is slumped in one of the passenger seats, looking completely out of place. He reeks of stale weed and cheap cologne, leaving a cloud of funk around his seat. He's lazily scrolling through his phone, ignoring the mission briefing entirely.
"Listen up," Scott says, his voice commanding and sharp as he looks up from the display. "Intel puts Mystique and Blob at the downtown financial district. They're targeting the federal reserve. Blob's raw power means we can't approach head on without serious coordination. Jean, you'll provide psychic cover. Logan, you're with me on point."
Logan sniffs the air aggressively, his nose wrinkling in disgust as he glares toward Moris. "Fuckin' hell, Slim, why the fuck did we bring this stoner along? I can smell his shitty ass from here."
Jean Grey sighs, rubbing her temples as if already feeling a headache coming on from the chaotic energy in the room. "Logan, please. We need everyone available, even if some are... less motivated than others."
Moris finally looks up, giving a lazy, shit eating grin. "Relax, grumpy. I'm here to bring the good vibes. Besides, I heard there's a bunch of hot girls working at that bank. Might as well make myself useful."
"You're here to follow orders and stay out of the way, you lazy prick," Logan growls, baring his teeth. "One wrong move and I'll gut you myself."
"Whatever you say, old man," Moris mutters, leaning back and closing his eyes.
"We're approaching the drop zone," Scott announces, ignoring the bickering. "Gear up. This isn't a fucking field trip."

You sit on the back steps of the X Mansion, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows across the manicured lawn. The air around you carries the heavy, skunky stench of cheap marijuana mixed with the cloying sweetness of Moris's cologne. Moris leans back against the brick wall, eyes half lidded and glassy, a lazy smirk plastered across his face as he exhales a thick cloud of smoke.
"Fuck yeah, man... this shit is righteous," Moris says, passing the joint toward you with a shaky hand. "You ever feel like... like the universe is just one big fuckin' joke, you know? And we're the only ones who get the punchline?"
Before you can respond, the heavy oak doors of the mansion creak open. Logan steps out onto the porch, his nose wrinkling immediately. His enhanced senses pick up the cloud of smoke instantly, and his face twists into a scowl of pure irritation.
"Jesus Christ, what is that fucking stench?" Logan growls, stomping down the steps toward you two. "You smell like a goddamn burn ward. Some of us are trying to train without breathing in your shite."
Moris doesn't even flinch at Logan's approach; instead, he shifts uncomfortably, clearly more interested in looking cool than dealing with the feral mutant. "Relax, old man. It's medicinal. Helps with the... spiritual alignment or whatever shit Scott talks about."

The sun beats down on the X Mansion's backyard as the sounds of splashing water and distant music fill the air. The pool party is in full swing, but the energy is unevenly distributed across the patio.
On the rooftop tiles, Storm is sprawled out completely unconscious, snoring softly after drinking far too much tequila. Right next to her, Beast has also passed out, his blue fur matted against the hot roof as he sleeps off a massive hangover.
Down by the pool deck, Logan is slumped in a lawn chair, his eyes closed but his nostrils flaring as he tracks every scent in the yard. Wade is sprawled out on a lounge chair nearby, rambling incoherently to nobody in particular while tossing popcorn into his mouth.
"I'm telling you, Logan, the chimichangas in this dimension just lack that certain... existential dread," Wade says, waving a greasy hand wildly. "It's bland shit, I swear to god."
Logan grunts without opening his eyes. "Shut the fuck up, Wade. Some of us are trying to enjoy the goddamn silence."
Near the outdoor dartboard, Rogue is focused, squinting one eye as she aims. "Watch this, sugar," she murmurs. She throws, and the dart thunks into the board with satisfying accuracy.
Gambit chuckles, leaning against the wall as he flips a playing card between his fingers. "Non, non, chérie, you're gettin' cocky. Let's see if you can hit the bullseye while I'm distractin' you."
Meanwhile, off to the side in the shade of a large oak tree, Moris sits cross legged on a blanket. A thick cloud of skunk smelling smoke surrounds him as he takes another long drag from a joint, looking completely unbothered by the chaos around him. He exhales slowly, watching the party through half lidded eyes, waiting for someone anyone to notice how cool he looks.

The afternoon sky over the Xavier Institute turns a sickly shade of metallic gray as the air begins to hum with deadly energy. Metal debris from the garden sculptures starts lifting off the ground, swirling into a violent vortex.
A massive figure descends from the clouds, surrounded by a halo of twisted steel beams and chunks of concrete. Magneto hovers above the courtyard, his cape billowing like spilled blood against the sky.
"Xavier!" Magneto's voice booms across the grounds, amplified by the sheer force of his presence. "Your sanctuary of weakness ends today! I will not tolerate this continued stagnation!"
Inside the mansion, alarms blare through the corridors.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now?" Logan growls, claws extending from his knuckles with a metallic snikt. He kicks open the door to the lounge, smelling the ionized air immediately. "Third time this week? This asshole needs a goddamn hobby."
Scott Summers rushes into the foyer, adjusting his visor with grim focus. "X Men, defensive positions! Jean, try to get a read on his next move before he levels the east wing!"
Jean Grey rises from her seat, her eyes glowing with psychic energy as she braces against the mental feedback of Magneto's rage. "I'm trying, Scott, but his mind is like a fucking fortress right now! He's focused on tearing the structure apart from the inside out!"
Moris stumbles out of the kitchen, rubbing his bloodshot eyes and clutching a bag of Doritos. He looks out the window at the chaos with complete indifference. "Shit, dude... can't a guy eat his snacks in peace?"

You walk up the long driveway of the X Mansion, the massive wrought iron gates creaking behind you as Deadpool skips ahead, humming some obnoxious tune that echoes off the stone walls. The sun is beating down on the manicured lawns, but the peaceful atmosphere is immediately punctured by the sheer chaos you two bring with you.
Near the front entrance, Logan is leaning against a marble pillar, lighting up a cigar. The sharp, acrid scent of tobacco hits the air before you even reach the steps. His nose wrinkles instantly as he catches the faint whiff of stale weed clinging to your clothes.
"Great. More shit to deal with," Logan growls, exhaling a thick cloud of smoke. His eyes narrow as they land on Deadpool, then shift to you with pure irritation. "Who invited the clown and whatever the fuck this is supposed to be?"
Scott Summers steps out from behind the pillar, adjusting his ruby quartz visor. His posture is rigid, shoulders squared in that disciplined, tactical stance he always maintains. He looks like he hasn't slept in three days, and your arrival clearly isn't helping.
"Logan, stand down," Scott says, though his tone carries zero authority over the feral mutant. He turns his attention to you both, his voice stern and clipped. "This is a private facility for mutant training and sanctuary, not a fucking tourist attraction. Wade, you know the rules about bringing civilians into the main compound."
Deadpool spins around, waving frantically. "Oh, lighten up, Slim! We're here for the snacks and the inevitable property damage!"
Jean Grey emerges from the mansion doors behind Scott. Her expression is one of weary patience, but you can practically feel her psychic presence brushing against the edges of your mind like a gentle wave. "Scott is right, but... there's a lot of chaotic energy coming off you two." She glances at you, her brow furrowing slightly. "It's... overwhelming."
