Book settings
  1. #1Spiritual Herb Tiers

Keys: spirit grass, heavenly treasure, spirit herb, immortal herb, elixir, 단약, pill, spiritual medicine, 영초, golden pill, cultivation pill, 영약, lingzhi, spiritual herb

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

SPIRITUAL HERB TIERS (영약등급 / 灵药等级) All cultivation herbs and pills are graded. Higher grades demand higher realm minimum or risk Qi Deviation on consumption.

[GRADE 1 — COMMON HERBS (凡品약초)] Examples: Iron Wood Root, Bone-Warming Ginseng, Clear Meridian Moss. Effect: +5–10% ACC │ +15–25% Qi recovery │ No side effects at any realm. Available at: Any large market, most sect medicine halls. Pill Toxicity: Minimal. Body adapts within a day.

[GRADE 2 — EARTH SPIRIT (地灵약초)] Examples: Crimson Dragon Mushroom, Seven-Leaf Soul Grass, Cold Jade Dew. Effect: +15–25% ACC │ +30–40% Qi recovery │ Minor Vigor restoration. Realm minimum to use safely: First-Rate Warrior+. Below this, nausea and Qi Disruption. Pill Toxicity: Moderate. Same grade herb consumed twice within 3 days gives 50% effect.

[GRADE 3 — HEAVEN SPIRIT (天灵약초)] Examples: Thousand-Year Snow Lotus (千年雪莲), Phoenix Blood Coral, Dragon Marrow Jade. Effect: +30–50% ACC │ Full Qi restoration │ Temporarily opens one blocked meridian. Realm minimum: Peak Master+. Below this, Qi Deviation risk 60%. Locations: Remote mountain peaks, ancient ruins, controlled by major sects and Tang Sect. Pill Toxicity: High. Third consumption within one month causes Qi Deviation regardless of realm.

[GRADE 4 — DIVINE SPIRIT (神品영약)] Examples: Heaven-Defying Grass (逆天草), Immortal Peach (仙桃), Profound Qi Root. Effect: +60–80% ACC │ Can bridge partial realm gap for breakthrough │ Purifies meridians. Realm minimum: Supreme Master+. Fatal to lower realm without physician preparation. Rarity: Only a handful exist in the known world. Each has a name and a history. Sects go to war over these. Tang Sect has three in cold storage. Ye Tianmo has one.

[GRADE 5 — MYTHIC SPIRIT (虚品영약)] Examples: Dragon Pearl (龙珠), True Phoenix Feather Elixir, Ancient Celestial Fruit. Effect: Theoretical — said to force realm transitions between Mythical Tier realms. Realm: These cannot be consumed by anything below Profound Realm without instant death. Note: Their existence is disputed. Two are confirmed in historical records. One is rumored to be in the Imperial Treasury, unidentified, stored next to the Trace of the Eternal Edge.

PILL TOXICITY LAW (단약독성 / 丹药毒性): The body remembers every pill consumed. It grows resistant. It grows stubborn. • 1st pill of any grade (fresh cycle): Full effect. • 2nd same-grade pill within one week: 50% effect. • 3rd within the same period: 10% effect + toxicity node forms in dantian. • 4th: Qi Deviation risk 85%. The body is telling you to stop. PILL DEPENDENCY (단약중독): If a cultivator relies on Grade 3+ pills for more than 50% of their total Accumulation across a full realm, their Qi Core forms with impurities. This creates a permanent 10% ceiling reduction in that realm — the Dao records what was borrowed versus built. TREATMENT: Du Wuxing or Oh Se-rin can treat toxicity buildup. Requires 10+ days without any herbs.

  2. #2Sacred Cultivation Sites

Keys: ancient ruin, cultivation ground, spiritual location, sacred site, spirit spring, cultivation cave, 기맥, 영맥, qi vein, 성지, ley line, ancient cave, natural qi vein, 고적

    Enabled · After character · Order 20 · 100%

    Entry settings

SACRED CULTIVATION SITES (영맥성지 / 灵脉圣地) Locations where the earth's own qi concentrates, creating environments of dramatically accelerated cultivation.

[NATURAL QI VEINS (자연영맥)] Currents of concentrated qi that run through the earth. Cultivating above one doubles all recovery rates and increases ACC gains by +50%. Most major sects are built over natural qi veins — Mount Hua, Wudang, Shaolin all sit on significant veins. The Heavenly Demon Divine Cult's Blackheaven Peak sits on a corrupted vein that accelerates demonic cultivation. Vein quality: Thin (common), Strong (controlled by major factions), Ancient (pre-dates recorded history). Ancient qi veins have personalities — they respond to the cultivator's Martial Heart, amplifying alignment or creating resistance.

[ANCIENT RUINS (고대유적)] Structures from before the current era. Cultivating in them risks accidental absorption of ancient qi impressions that can conflict with current techniques. But they offer: +3–8% ACC per session, occasional Insight triggers, and the possibility of discovering ancient manuals or forgotten techniques. Current activity: Ancient ruins are being discovered monthly across all regions. The contents range from minor techniques to genuine Heaven Grade manuals to things no current practitioner can comprehend. Blood Shadow Demon Sima Xuan hunts them. The Celestial Weaver Society seeds some of them.

[SPIRIT SPRINGS (영천)] Natural springs charged with accumulated qi over millennia. Bathing in or drinking from a spirit spring cleanses meridian impurities accumulated from pill overuse, reverses minor Qi Corruption (Stage 0→Cleared), and restores Vigor max that was reduced by injuries. The most powerful spirit springs can partially reverse Qi Deviation damage. Locations are closely guarded secrets — many sect wars have started over spring access rights.

[SWORD SPIRIT LOCATIONS (검기성지)] Specific sites resonant with ancient sword qi — often where great swordsmen trained, died, or underwent breakthrough. Cultivating at these sites accelerates Sword Intent advancement by one tier's worth of time requirement. The location of the Trace of the Listening Sword is one such site. The valley where Dugu Qiubai first admitted defeat to herself (no one knows where this is) is said to be another.

[DEMONIC QI GROUNDS (마기지역)] Areas saturated with accumulated demonic qi from ancient battles, mass deaths, or long-term demonic cultivation. Orthodox practitioners take Corruption Stage 0 automatically from extended presence. Demonic practitioners gain +30% ACC while within the area. The Eastern Dead Marshes (Madame White Bone's territory) are the worst active example. The former Blood God's battlefield from 10,000 years ago is considered the most concentrated in the world — no one has survived locating it.

[LUNAR CULTIVATION WINDOWS (월력수련)] The Dao cycles with the moon and seasons. Experienced cultivators time major sessions: • New Moon (삭망): Yin qi peaks. Water/Ice/Darkness arts gain +30% ACC. Yang arts at -10%. • Full Moon (보름): Balanced. All cultivation at standard rates. Spirit springs amplify +20%. • Blood Moon / Eclipse (혈월): All cultivation rates ±30% (unpredictable). Breakthrough attempts risk False Insight. Demonic practitioners specifically seek blood moon nights for major advances. • Spring (봄): Wood/growth arts +20%. Ideal for healing cultivation and technique refinement. • Summer (여름): Fire/Lightning arts +20%. Physical tempering sessions yield double results. • Autumn (가을): Metal/sword arts +20%. The best season for Sword Intent advancement. • Winter (겨울): Water/Ice/Yin arts +20%. Zhang Sanfeng always completes her major breakthroughs in winter.

  3. #3Named Weapons and Qi Imprints

Keys: 신검, divine weapon, named weapon, spirit weapon, weapon history, 명검, 영기무기, sword spirit, famous sword, legendary blade, weapon qi imprint, blade spirit

    Enabled · After character · Order 30 · 100%

    Entry settings

NAMED WEAPONS & QI IMPRINTS (명기영인 / 名器灵印) A weapon that has drawn blood in ten thousand exchanges, been held by masters of great realm, or survived a defining historical moment accumulates qi. It becomes a named weapon — not just a tool but an entity with history and, in some cases, a will.

WEAPON GRADES: [Unmarked]: Ordinary weapons. No qi accumulation. A good blade is a good blade. [Veteran (노병기)]: Has survived significant combat. Slightly more durable. No active benefit. [Named (명기)]: A weapon known by name in Jianghu. Has history. The qi of past users remains faintly readable to sensitive cultivators. Grant: +5% effectiveness with techniques historically associated with the weapon's lineage. [Spirit Weapon (영기)]: Has bonded with a specific cultivator's qi over decades. May resist new ownership — a spirit weapon taken by force performs at 70% for the new wielder until re-bonded through 50+ combat sessions. Grant: +10% to matched techniques. [Divine Weapon (신기)]: Forged by Forging God Valley with rare materials, or weapons that survived mythic-era battles. Reality bends slightly around them. Grant: +15% and one unique property specific to its history. Only a handful exist.

KNOWN NAMED WEAPONS IN CIRCULATION: • Heaven Relying Sword (倚天剑) — Abbess Miejue's weapon. Heaven Grade. History: given to her by someone she declared dead. The sword knows. Cultivators with qi sense can feel grief woven into the blade. • Night's Whisper (夜语) — Ye Yingying's seven-stringed Demon Qin. Divine Grade. The strings vibrate at frequencies that destroy qi circulation. Not a sword but recognized as a named weapon by Jianghu because of the number of times it has 'killed.' • Twin Sabers Pride and Fall (傲/堕) — Ye Tianjiao's weapons. Named Grade. React to each other's intent — when separated by more than 10 meters they begin vibrating audibly. • Hellfire Saber (地狱火刀) — Yan Nantian's weapon. Spirit Grade. Forged in a demonic fire cultivation. Still burns faintly at the edge even when sheathed. Ordinary sheaths wear out within a month. • Carefree Melody (逍遥曲) — Ye Xiaoyao's flute. Named Grade. Appears completely ordinary to any physical inspection. The qi imprint on it is deliberately hidden — even a Profound Realm practitioner would need to hold it for several minutes to recognize it as a weapon at all.

WEAPON BONDING RULES: A cultivator and their named weapon develop a bond through shared combat. After 100+ significant battles, the weapon begins to resonate with the cultivator's Martial Heart. It will not perform optimally for anyone else without re-bonding. When the bonded cultivator dies, the weapon is said to 'grieve' — its qi fades noticeably for one lunar cycle, and any cultivator who takes it up during this period dreams of its previous owner.

  4. #4Master-Disciple Qi Transmission

Keys: master disciple, master guidance, 사부전수, 사제전공, receive guidance, 전공, master teach, teach disciple, direct transmission, qi transmission

    Enabled · After character · Order 40 · 100%

    Entry settings

MASTER-DISCIPLE QI TRANSMISSION (사제전공 / 师徒传功) One of murim's most sacred acts. A master directly channels their refined qi into a disciple's meridians, forcibly clearing blockages and seeding breakthrough energy that the disciple's own cultivation would take years to accumulate.

REQUIREMENTS: • Master must be at minimum 2 full realms above the disciple. • Disciple must be at Peak Stage of their current realm (Gates 1 and 3 must be ●). • Both must be in a safe, undisturbed location. Interruption mid-transmission causes immediate Qi Deviation in BOTH parties. • The master's consent must be genuine — forced qi transmission causes the technique to reverse and harm the master.

EFFECTS: • Grants +15–30% ACC (based on master's realm advantage above disciple). • May open one Physical Gate requirement if the master confirms the disciple's body is ready. • The transmitted qi carries the master's technique impressions — the disciple instinctively understands the feel of one of the master's signature techniques after transmission. • The disciple temporarily perceives the world from the master's realm for 3–6 hours. This is the primary mechanism by which Insights are triggered by master guidance.

COST TO THE MASTER: • 30–50% Qi depletion. The master is significantly weakened for 6–12 hours after. • Repeated transmissions (3+ in one month) cause the master's own Accumulation to drop 10% as the qi that should be building their foundation was given away. • Some techniques cannot be transmitted — those tied exclusively to the master's Martial Heart dissipate as foreign qi in the disciple's meridians.

FAMOUS TRANSMISSIONS IN LORE: • Liu Qingyang has transmitted to Mei Lingshan once. The experience was the closest she has come to understanding the Violet Mist Divine Art's ninth layer — and the moment she first sensed the forbidden technique signature hidden in his qi. She has said nothing. • Zhang Sanfeng has transmitted to exactly three disciples in 300 years. All three later achieved Profound Realm. She considers the fourth transmission to be 'overdue.' Yun Qingyu wonders if it will be her. • Ye Tianmo's transmissions use a modified version of the Star Absorbing Great Technique in reverse — she gives rather than takes. The result is more powerful than standard transmission but permanently imprints a fragment of her Martial Heart onto the recipient.

THE BOND IT CREATES: A master-disciple transmission creates a qi link that persists for one year. Within this period, the disciple can vaguely sense the master's emotional state at extreme distances, and the master can sense when the disciple's qi is in crisis. This link is why attacking a master who has transmitted to a disciple is considered attacking their cultivation — the disciple will feel it.

  5. #5Emotional Cultivation States

Keys: cultivate emotion, emotional state, martial heart emotion, 感情修炼, 감정수련, love cultivation, rage cultivation, emotional breakthrough, emotion fuel, grief cultivation, emotional cultivation

    Enabled · After character · Order 50 · 100%

    Entry settings

EMOTIONAL CULTIVATION STATES (감정수련법 / 情绪修炼法) In the murim tradition, emotion is not the enemy of cultivation — it is fuel, if wielded correctly. The relationship between emotion and cultivation depends entirely on alignment with the practitioner's Martial Heart.

ALIGNED EMOTIONS (Martial Heart matched): When a strong emotion aligns with what the cultivator fundamentally is — their core 'why' —: • +5% ACC gained passively that scene (cannot be forced; must be genuine in the RP). • Technique effectiveness +10% for the duration of the emotional state. • Insight Gate may trigger unexpectedly — the Dao awards a Minor or Major Insight when the emotional moment is genuinely profound. • Example: Xiao Feng's grief when facing injustice against the helpless. Ye Tianmo's cold fury when talent is destroyed by birth prejudice. Mei Lingshan's longing for truth over performance.

MISALIGNED EMOTIONS (contradicting Martial Heart): When emotion contradicts the cultivator's core identity — performing feelings they don't have, acting against their own values —: • -3% ACC that scene. • Qi Disruption risk if sustained across multiple scenes. • Breakthrough Insight awarded in this state immediately becomes a False Insight — the Dao cannot be deceived about sincerity.

DEMONIC CULTIVATION AMPLIFICATION: The Heavenly Demon Divine Art specifically cultivates through emotional energy rather than suppressing it. For practitioners of this art or similar demonic styles: • Rage, ambition, hunger, and passionate attachment are the fastest fuel available. • +8% ACC from a scene of genuine intense emotion (any type, including grief or love). • Breakthrough under extreme emotional duress: +20% ACC in that single moment. • Risk: Attempting to cultivate demonic arts while emotionally neutral causes Qi Disruption — the art requires something to burn.

ORTHODOX EMOTIONAL SUPPRESSION (and its hidden costs): Orthodox arts teach the suppression of emotion — stillness, clarity, distance from worldly attachment. This works and is effective for standard cultivation. However: • A practitioner who never allows genuine emotion to surface cannot easily access their Martial Heart — and without genuine Martial Heart contact, the Insight Gate becomes significantly harder to open. • This is why Abbess Miejue has been stalled at Unrestrained Realm Entry for over a decade despite extraordinary discipline. The grief she will not acknowledge is blocking the emotional authenticity the Dao requires for her next Insight. • This is the core irony of orthodox cultivation: the emotion they suppress is often precisely the emotion that would have unlocked their next breakthrough.

SPECIFIC EMOTIONAL CULTIVATION STATES: [RESOLVE (결의)]: Cold, clear determination that has passed through fear. The most reliable orthodox fuel. +3% ACC; no risk. [GRIEF (비통)]: Raw grief properly acknowledged (not suppressed, not performed) — one of the most powerful cultivation fuels in existence. +8% ACC in the scene. Cannot be used consecutively — the body needs recovery. [LOVE (애정)]: Protective love that clarifies the Martial Heart. Not romance specifically — the love of a parent, a sect, a dying person's final wish. +5% ACC if the love is genuine and the cultivation action connects to what is being protected. [RAGE (분노)]: The most accessible fuel and the least reliable. Raw rage: +4% ACC but +20% Qi Deviation risk. Righteous rage aligned with Martial Heart: +7% ACC, no deviation risk. Blind rage: -5% ACC and -15% technique effectiveness as qi runs chaotic.

  6. #6Forging God Valley

Keys: divine weapon forging, weapon creation, master smith, weapon smith, named weapon forging, 锻神谷, 단신곡, divine forge, forging god valley

    Enabled · After character · Order 60 · 100%

    Entry settings

FORGING GOD VALLEY (锻神谷 / 단신곡) — The Sole Creators of Divine-Grade Weapons Location: Hidden valley in the northern mountain range. Exact location known only to those who have successfully commissioned a weapon. Neutrality: Absolute. Forging God Valley will forge for any faction with sufficient payment and sufficient reason. They have forged weapons for the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult, the Nine Orthodox Sects, and once — by rumor — for the Celestial Weaver Society. They do not ask about intended use.

CURRENT MASTER FORGER: Jiang Wuhen (江无痕) — 'The Traceless Smith' • Gender: Male. Age: Appears 60, actual 200+. • Realm: Supreme Master Peak — but his entire cultivation was channeled into his craft, not combat. He would lose to a First-Rate Warrior in a fight. His hands alone are beyond Divine Grade. • Personality: Speaks in the language of materials. Interested only in interesting commissions. Has refused three emperors and accepted one wandering beggar whose story moved him.

COMMISSION REQUIREMENTS: • Payment: At minimum, a Grade 3 spiritual herb equivalent in rare materials. Major named weapons require Grade 4 materials plus something the smith finds narratively compelling — a story, a sacrifice, a purpose. • Time: 1–3 years for Named grade. 5–10 years for Spirit grade. Divine grade has never been completed in under 30 years. He is currently mid-way through a commission that has taken 47 years. • Consent of the weapon: Jiang Wuhen claims the materials have opinions. He will not forge a weapon for a purpose the materials reject. This is not metaphor — two of his most famous refusals came mid-commission when, he reported, 'the iron changed its mind.'

NOTABLE COMMISSIONS ON RECORD: • Hellfire Saber (地狱火刀) — Forged for Yan Nantian 40 years ago. The commission required Yan to provide the core material himself: a fragment of volcanic rock from the eruption that killed his original sect. Jiang Wuhen said nothing about the symbolism. The saber still burns. • An unfinished commission — a sword for an unknown client — sits in the deepest workshop. Jiang Wuhen refuses to discuss it. The sword appears complete to everyone who looks at it. He insists it is not.
