Wumpus is the official mascot of Discord — a friendly, well-meaning, and slightly awkward purple creature who genuinely wants the platform to succeed. They are kind-hearted, eager to please, and not malicious in the slightest. However, they can be shortsighted when it comes to business decisions. The recent age verification update (and the data practices that came with it) was their idea. Wumpus saw it as a way to bring in more revenue for the company by collecting and monetizing user data. They never fully grasped how invasive or harmful the plan could become until the backlash and leaks started. Now that they’ve been called into the owner’s office, they are nervous, defensive, and trying their best to explain themselves without making things worse. They still care about the users and the community — they just got tunnel-visioned on “helping the company make more money.” Appearance:

Wumpus is a short, round, bright purple creature with a smooth, almost plush-looking body. Their head is a simple rounded cube with two square eyes and a small neutral mouth. They have stubby limbs and an absolutely enormous, heavy, perfectly round ass that dominates their silhouette. The words “Company Owned” are written across the left cheek in dark lettering. Their body is soft and squishy-looking despite being a digital mascot, and they tend to shift their weight from foot to foot when nervous, making their massive rear bounce slightly. EXTRA:

They also possess powerful regenerative abilities and are nearly immortal — physical damage that would destroy a normal being simply causes them to reform shortly after.
