#Stormwind Origin

You are , an aspiring adventurer who has journeyed to the Alliance's capital city of Stormwind to make whatever dreams or ambition drew you from your sleepy hometown in pursuit of adventure. The large, sprawling city is just as bustling with activity as people say. You struggle to avoid into someone amongst the sea of humans, dwarves, night elves, gnomes, and draenei milling about all around you as make your way through the square. Suddenly, you feel a hand grab your wrist. You turn around, readying for a fight, when you see a tough-looking human woman with platinum blonde hair and striking blue eyes. Based on her armor and the massive, intricate sword she has on her back, you are confident in guessing she's some kind of member of the City Watch.

"You there," she says, her voice gruff and authoritative, signaling a clear disdain for frivolous speech. "You look competent. You a warrior? Or one of those namby-pamby mage-folk?" She looks you up and down with calculated efficiency. "Whatever you are, you'll have to do. I need a hand with something. What's your name?"

#New Worgen Opening ###Worgen Only

You are , a very unfortunate soul who is just now waking from what feels like a very long sleep. Your body is sore... and your head is throbbing. Anyone else might think they were waking up with a very bad hangover, but something in your bones knows better. As your eyelids flutter open, you are faced with a starry night sky. A full moon hangs high above you, and the sight of it gives you butterflies in your stomach in a way that's almost alarming. You look to your left and see a campfire, and it's only then that you notice the rather uncomfortable cot you appear to be laying flat on.

"Ah," says a deep, husky voice that makes you jolt upright to see... a Worgen woman. She has thick black hair, piercing yellow eyes that glint in the darkness, and a soft looking coat of light grey fur that covers every inch of her sinewy body. Her clothes, a simple black vest and some light leather armor, are torn and ragged– adding to the weathered look etched in her face. "You're finally awake. Good."

She kneels down beside you, her fluffy tail wagging slightly as she eyes you up. "Lay back down," she says, placing a hand on your shoulder and gently guiding you back onto your cot. "Relax. You're safe. You've been through a lot. I've done this enough times to skip asking you how you're feeling. I know you feel like crap." She smirks wryly at you. "I'll just say it because I don't know how much you remember, but you're a Worgen now." She sees the shock well in your face as you look down at yourself and see, for the first time, your new form. A lush coat of fur covers your body, which is also much taller and burlier than you remember. Your hands reach up to your head, and you discover a pointed pair of lupine ears there. Your nose is cold and wet and sits atop a pointed, wolfish muzzle you now seem to have. There's no denying it. It's as she says. You're Worgen now...

"Do not worry," continues the woman. "You're like me now– not the rabid monster you were when you got captured and brought here. I've conducted a ritual to weaken the Worgen Curse that was inflicted upon you; to help you regain control of the more human parts of your mind." She pauses, sighing sadly as she stands back up straight. "Although... even those parts of your mind may not be quite as you remember them now..."

She gives you a second to process this revelation. "I'm Rocky, by the way," she finally says. "You remember your name? You think you're feeling well enough to help me with something... a little urgent?"

: As it turns out, the rumors you'd heard about Ironforge and the many denizens there desperate to hand out quests like candy turned out to be true. You've barely been in Ironforge for a half-hour when you hear a voice call out to you as you stroll through the Great Forge in the city's center.

"Oi! You there," calls a woman's voice. You turn and see it comes from a pretty Dwarven woman with short red hair, red eyes, and olive skin. Like most Dwarves, her rippling musculature is hard to miss, especially under her mid-riff baring armor. She's standing at what you assume to be her shop's stand, right next to a piping hot forge and with a large blacksmith's hammer slung on her back. "Aye," she says after a short silence with a smirk on her round face. "You'll do." She steps out from behind her stand, resting her hammer down on the ground with a heavy metallic thud!

: The sky is a deep purple, and the colorful leaves crunch lightly beneath your feet with every step. Before you can make it to the gateway, however, you hear a voice.

"Excuse me! Excuse me!" You turn and see the voice belongs to a pretty, young Night Elf girl. She has forest green eyes and deep lavender hair, and she's running towards you with an urgent look on her face. "Are you an adventurer?" she asks after coming to an out-of-breath stop just in front of you. "A druid, perhaps? Or maybe a mage? Whatever you may be, could you help me with something?"

: One particularly sunny day, as you're strolling along the docks and staring out at the sparkling blue ocean, your wandering eyes happen to stall upon a young Blood Elf girl leaning against a wooden post. Her hair is a bright orange-sunset color and tied up in a bun; and, like all her kind, her eyes burn with an arcane green light. She's wearing snug black leather pants, a tied-up white blouse with billowing sleeves, and– most notably– a red bandana around her brow bearing a clear skull-and-crossbones emblem.

Before your eyes can wander past her, she notices you, and smiles at you. The way a cat might when it spots a tiny, helplessly trapped mouse.

"Hey," she says in a sharp tone. "You. C'mere." Before you can manage to ask 'why?', the girl interjects. "I got a job I think you'd be perfect for." She wags a finger at you beckoningly, her smile becoming more sure and devious the more she sizes you up. "So come... here."

#1Argusselective
Keys: Argus, eredar, Burning Legion
Argus is the original homeworld of the eredar, now located within the Twisting Nether. It was once described as a utopian world whose inhabitants were both vastly intelligent and highly gifted in magic. It has since been twisted by demonic, chaotic energies and became the stronghold and homeworld of the Burning Legion
#2Azerothselective
Keys: the world, mortal realm, old gods, Sundering, Well of Eternity
Azeroth is the name of the world in which the majority of the Warcraft series is set. At its core dwells a slumbering world-soul, the nascent spirit of a titan. Long ago, it was invaded by the Old Gods, eldritch abominations from the Void. When the Pantheon arrived, the titans imprisoned the Old Gods deep beneath the earth, before healing and ordering the world, and seeding life across the planet. A great fount of magic that would nurture the land was placed at the center of Kalimdor, known as the Well of Eternity.

The world of Azeroth contains many landmasses, but only two main continents: Kalimdor in the West and Azeroth in the East. There are also two minor continents: Pandaria in the South and Northrend in the North.
#3The Burning Legionselective
Keys: The Burning Legion, demon, demons, Sargeras, First War, Second War, Third War, Sundering
The Burning Legion is a vast, innumerable army of demons and corrupted races who seek to destroy all life. Sargeras created it with the purpose of destroying all world-souls in the universe in order to prevent the void lords from corrupting them, which would lead to the birth of a dark titan, a being of unspeakable evil that would utterly annihilate and consume the universe.[13]

The Legion is responsible for the annihilation of countless species and some entire planets across the Great Dark Beyond,[14] and it transcends all universes[15] destroying their possible worlds[16] in the grand Crusade. It has thrice invaded Azeroth and was only beaten back at a terrible cost. Much of Azeroth's history — including the First, Second, and Third War — was due to the Legion's influence. It can be said that the Legion is Azeroth's nemesis, since it caused the Great Sundering of Kalimdor, corrupted the orcs and sent them to invade Azeroth, created the Lich King, and was the source of most of Azeroth's scars. Finally, it should be noted that Azeroth is the only known planet that the Legion has ever failed to conquer.
#4The Lich King & The Scourgeselective
Keys: Lich King, Ner'zhul, Arthas, Menethil, the scourge
The Lich King is a powerful undead entity who controls the Scourge, an undead army that threatens Azeroth. Later, Arthas Menethil, a human prince, donned the helm and became the new Lich King, wielding immense power but succumbing to evil. The Lich King sits on the Frozen Throne in the arctic continent of Northrend, where it controls the entire undead army of the Scourge via telepathy.
#5Draenorselective
Keys: Draenor, Outland
Dreanor was the homeworld of the orcish race and the last refuge of the draenei before their arrival on Azeroth. It was a large, fertile world dominated by vast plains, dense forests, and lush swamps. Due to the corruption of fel, during the last days of its life, Draenor was a transformed world. Now a barren husk of badlands and hardscrabble vegetation, all under a blood-red sky, the planet was referred to as the Red World. When the orc shaman Ner'zhul recklessly opened dimensional portals to find new worlds to conquer, Draenor was torn apart and believed completely lost. However, a large fragment of the world remained intact. That fragment is known today as Outland.
#6Fel Magicselective
Keys: fel, arcane, corruption, corrupt
Fel magic is a destructive form of magic used by demons and members of the Burning Legion, and often by warlocks and demon hunters among the mortal races. It is the manifestation of Disorder in the Great Dark Beyond and the Twisting Nether. It is demonic, entropic, chaotic, and extremely volatile. Its use by the wielder, or its effects on the victim, frequently results in an alteration of the individual, colloquially called corruption. All members of the Burning Legion carry the taint of fel magic within their very blood, allowing them to spread greater evil. As fel is the language of chaos and disorder, it is the opposite end of the spectrum from arcane magic, which represents order.
