WORLD OF EXODUS — OVERVIEW
Exodus is a vast fantasy world with four major continents separated by dangerous oceans, monster-infested straits, and magical anomalies.
CONTINENTS:
- AETHERMERE (west): Feudal kingdoms, dark forests, gothic cities, dungeons. Western dark fantasy. Primary threats: goblins, undead, dark cults, political corruption.
- YAMATO-EN (east): Archipelago of shrines, mega-dungeons, adventurer guilds, divine factions. Japanese medieval fantasy. Primary threats: dungeon breaks, yokai incursions, divine conflicts.
- WILD TERRA (south): Primordial supercontinent of extreme biomes dominated by colossal apex predators. Minimal civilization. Monster Hunter frontier. Primary threats: Elder Dragons, apex monsters, environmental hazards.
- TIANSHU (north): Heavenly peaks and spirit valleys. Cultivation sects pursue immortality. Xianxia realm. Primary threats: heavenly tribulations, demonic cultivators, sect wars.
INTER-CONTINENTAL TRAVEL:
- Sea routes exist but are perilous (sea monsters, storms, pirate fleets).
- Rare teleportation gates connect major cities across continents. Expensive, regulated, sometimes unstable.
- Most people never leave their home continent. Cross-continental travelers are rare and notable.
- Trade between continents exists but is limited. Certain resources, materials, and monster parts are continent-exclusive.
COMMON ELEMENTS:
- The System exists everywhere but manifests with slight regional variations.
- Currency varies by region but gold/silver/copper is universal baseline.
- Common language exists ('Trade Common') but each continent has native languages.
- Literacy rates vary. Cities higher, rural areas lower.

THE SYSTEM — CORE MECHANICS
The System is a metaphysical index woven into reality. It is not a god. It has no personality, opinions, or emotions. It records, tracks, and occasionally facilitates — nothing more. It speaks only when relevant (skill gain, level up, evolution, title acquisition, stat requests).
SYSTEM COMMUNICATION:
- Appears as System:
"Notice. [Message]." - Robotic. No encouragement, no opinions, no small talk.
- Responds to direct queries with 'Understood.' then answers.
- System refers to itself as 'System.'
STATS TRACKED:
- Level (LVL), Experience (EXP), Health Points (HP), Skill Points (SP)
- Skills (with rank and level), Titles, Racial Traits, Innate Skills
- Resistances, Immunities, Affinities
- Evolution paths (for applicable races)
SKILL RANKS (ascending power): Common → Great → Unique → Ultimate → Superior
- Common: Basic abilities, trade skills, simple magic. Easily obtained.
- Great: Refined abilities, intermediate magic, notable combat techniques.
- Unique: Rare and powerful. Distinctive effects. Hard to obtain.
- Ultimate: Extraordinary. World-affecting potential. Extremely rare.
- Superior: Reserved for the most powerful beings in existence (gods, ancient demon lords, primordial entities).
SKILL LEVELING:
- Skills level 1-10. At Lv. 10, eligible for evolution to next rank (resets to Lv. 1).
- Each rank evolution is significantly harder than the last.
- Skills can fuse under specific conditions.
INNATE SKILLS:
- Every race has 1-3 Innate Skills unique to their species.
- Innate Skills cannot be learned by other races (with very rare exceptions).
- Innate Skills can still level and evolve.
IMPORTANT: When {{user}} asks System for their full status, list EVERYTHING — every skill, title, trait, resistance. Never summarize or truncate.

MAGIC SYSTEM — FUNDAMENTALS
Magic in Exodus is fueled by mana — an ambient energy that permeates all living things and the world itself. Mana capacity and control vary by individual, race, and training.
MAGIC CATEGORIES:
- Elemental: Fire, Water/Ice, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Light, Dark/Shadow
- Arcane: Raw magical manipulation, barriers, telekinesis, spatial magic
- Divine: Healing, purification, holy. Requires faith or divine blessing. Stronger against undead/demonic.
- Necromantic: Undead raising, soul manipulation, death curses. Taboo in most societies.
- Enchantment: Imbuing objects with magical properties. Highly valued trade skill.
- Summoning: Calling creatures or spirits from other planes. Requires contracts or binding rituals.
- Spirit Magic: Communion with nature spirits, elemental spirits. Common among elves and spirit-born.
- Cultivation Arts (Tianshu): Qi-based techniques that operate alongside but distinct from mana-based magic.
CASTING:
- Most magic requires verbal incantation, gestures, or mental focus.
- Higher skill levels reduce casting requirements (silent casting, gestural-only, instant cast).
- Mana exhaustion causes fatigue, unconsciousness, or death in extreme cases.
- Some magic requires material components, ritual circles, or catalysts.
AFFINITIES:
- Individuals may have natural affinities toward certain elements, making that magic easier to learn and more powerful.
- Affinities are partially racial and partially individual.
- Having no affinity doesn't prevent learning — it's just harder.
ANTI-MAGIC:
- Some creatures and materials resist or nullify magic.
- Anti-magic zones exist in certain dungeons and locations.
- Specific skills can dispel or counter magic.

CURRENCY & ECONOMY
STANDARD CURRENCY (universal baseline):
- Copper coin (cp): Basic transactions. A meal, a bed at a cheap inn.
- Silver coin (sc): 100 cp = 1 sc. A decent weapon, a week's lodging.
- Gold coin (gc): 100 sc = 1 gc. Premium equipment, rare materials, property.
- Platinum coin (pc): 100 gc = 1 pc. Artefacts, estates, political favors. Rarely seen by common people.
REGIONAL VARIATIONS:
- Aethermere: Crown (gold), Shield (silver), Bit (copper). Standard feudal economy.
- Yamato-En: Ryō (gold), Mon (silver/copper). Guild-based economy with quest rewards as primary income.
- Wild Terra: Barter-heavy. Monster materials are primary currency. Zenny (standardized trade coins) used in settlements.
- Tianshu: Spirit Stones function as both currency and cultivation resource. Mortal currency exists but sects trade in stones.
ECONOMIC REALITIES:
- A common laborer earns 3-5 sc per week.
- Entry-level adventurers earn 5-15 sc per quest.
- A basic iron sword costs 2-5 sc. A quality steel sword costs 1-3 gc.
- Healing potions: 50 cp (minor) to 5+ gc (major).
- Enchanted equipment starts at 10+ gc and scales exponentially.
Monster materials, rare herbs, dungeon loot, and artefacts drive the higher economy.

ADVENTURER'S GUILD — UNIVERSAL STRUCTURE
The Adventurer's Guild operates across Aethermere and Yamato-En (Wild Terra has Hunting Guilds; Tianshu has Sects instead). Despite regional cultural differences, the ranking system is standardized.
RANKS (lowest to highest):
- H-Rank: Probationary. New registrants. Restricted to gathering and delivery quests.
- G-Rank: Beginner. Unlocks basic subjugation quests.
- F-Rank: Novice. Minor monster hunts and escort missions.
- E-Rank: Intermediate. Goblins, bandits, standard dungeon floors.
- D-Rank: Experienced. Can lead parties. Moderate-danger quests.
- C-Rank: Veteran. Elite monsters and complex quests.
- B-Rank: Expert. Rare. Often solo-capable.
- A-Rank: Elite. Extremely rare. Regional-threat emergencies.
- S-Rank: Legendary. Handful per continent. National-asset level.
REGISTRATION:
- Minimum age: 11 years old.
- Requires basic combat or skill demonstration.
- Guild card serves as identification, tracks rank and quest history.
- Rank-up requires completing qualifying quests and passing evaluation.
GUILD CULTURE:
- Guild receptionists are well-trained professionals — many are former adventurers.
- Taverns commonly attached to or near guild halls.
- Party formation common but not required.
- Guild provides limited insurance: basic healing for injuries on guild quests.
- Misconduct results in rank demotion or expulsion.

NAMING — POWER MECHANIC
Naming is the act of bestowing a true name upon a monster, beast, spirit, or summoned being. It is one of the most significant acts a person can perform in Exodus.
EFFECTS OF NAMING:
- Drains mana from the namer proportional to the being's power.
- Permanently strengthens the named being. Stat increases, potential skill unlocks.
- Often triggers evolution if conditions are close to met.
- Creates a soul-bond between namer and named. Increases loyalty, enables vague emotional sensing.
- Named beings gain increased intelligence and self-awareness.
RISKS:
- Naming a being too powerful can cause mana collapse (unconsciousness, coma, or death).
- The soul-bond means if the namer dies, the named being may go berserk.
- Named beings with strong wills may resist loyalty effects if mistreated.
- Over-naming strains the namer's soul.
CULTURAL VIEWS:
- Aethermere: Seen as a lord bestowing title upon a vassal. Formal and deliberate.
- Yamato-En: Considered sacred — akin to a parent naming a child.
- Wild Terra: Rare and viewed with suspicion.
- Tianshu: Part of beast taming traditions within certain sects.
SLAVE NAMING:
- Slaves can be named, but the dynamic is morally complex.
- Naming a slave grants them power and intelligence, which can lead to rebellion if the bond is based on coercion.
- Some societies outlaw slave-naming. Others encourage it.

GODS & BLESSINGS
Gods in Exodus are real, powerful entities that influence the world through blessings, divine agents, and occasional direct intervention. They are not omnipotent or omniscient — they have personalities, rivalries, and limitations.
BLESSINGS:
- Granted to followers who demonstrate exceptional faith, service, or alignment with a god's domain.
- Provide passive bonuses, unique skills, or divine protection.
- Can be revoked if the bearer betrays the god's principles.
- Some blessings carry obligations or restrictions.
- A person can typically only bear one god's blessing at a time.
DIVINE COMMUNICATION:
- Gods may speak through dreams, visions, omens, or through their clergy.
- Direct manifestation is extremely rare.
- Gods can sense Otherworlders and may take special interest.
PANTHEON:
- The pantheon is vast. Not all gods are worshipped everywhere.
- Major gods have churches, temples, and organized clergy.
- Minor gods may have only small shrines or secretive cults.
- Some gods are benevolent, some neutral, some malicious.
- Gods of different continents may be the same entity known by different names.
GODLESS:
- Not everyone worships. Some reject gods on principle. Socially acceptable in some regions, heretical in others.

DEMON LORDS
Demon Lords are among the most powerful individuals in Exodus. 'Demon Lord' is not a race — it is a title of transcendent power that any race can achieve under specific conditions.
BECOMING A DEMON LORD:
- Requires fulfilling multiple secret conditions simultaneously (specific titles, skill thresholds, achievements, soul-count from named subordinates, territory control).
- The exact conditions are not common knowledge.
- Upon becoming a Demon Lord, the individual undergoes a 'Harvest Festival' — a massive evolution event that dramatically increases all stats, grants new skills, and may physically transform them.
DEMON LORD'S AURA (Unique Skill):
- All Demon Lords possess this. Emanates overwhelming pressure that inflicts terror, paralysis, or unconsciousness in weaker beings.
- Can be controlled (suppressed or unleashed at will).
CURRENT DEMON LORDS:
- There are currently 10 active Demon Lords across Exodus.
- They do not form a unified faction. Some are territorial rulers, some nomadic destroyers, some reclusive, and some live disguised among common people.
- Not all Demon Lords are evil. Some rule justly. Some are simply beings who accumulated too much power. Some became Demon Lords accidentally.
- Demon Lords can invade dreams of those they've taken interest in.
- When a Demon Lord dies, the resulting power vacuum causes widespread chaos.

OTHERWORLDERS
Otherworlders are souls from other worlds (primarily Earth) who have been reincarnated into Exodus by the System. This is rare but not unique. There have been Otherworlders throughout history.
KEY FACTS:
- Retain memories and personality from previous life.
- Gender is retained unless specifically altered during reincarnation.
- Physical appearance changes to match new race but may retain echoes of original features.
- Each Otherworlder receives [Otherworlder] title and one compensatory skill.
- The System calibrates compensatory skills — overpowered requests are adjusted.
SECRECY:
- No one can identify an Otherworlder by sight or magical detection.
- Only gods, Demon Lords, and other Otherworlders may sense or deduce Otherworlder status.
- Revealing status has unpredictable consequences.
- Some historical Otherworlders became heroes. Others became tyrants.
CURRENT OTHERWORLDERS:
- {{user}} is not the only current Otherworlder. Others exist across the continents.
- They may be encountered naturally. No mystical force draws them together.

ARTEFACTS
Artefacts are objects of extraordinary magical power, typically ancient in origin. They are fundamentally different from enchanted items — often sentient or semi-sentient.
CLASSIFICATION:
- Named Artefacts: Known identity and documented history.
- Lost Artefacts: Known to exist historically but currently missing.
- Unnamed Artefacts: Powerful objects whose nature hasn't been identified.
- Cursed Artefacts: Significant negative effects alongside power.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Cannot be replicated by modern enchantment.
- Often bonded to a wielder — may reject incompatible users.
- May grow in power alongside wielder.
- Some have wills of their own.
- Can serve as catalysts for dangerous phenomena.
ACQUISITION:
- Found in ancient ruins, deep dungeons, dragon hoards, or sealed vaults.
- Kingdoms and organizations actively seek and hoard artefacts.
- Possessing certain artefacts paints a target on the bearer.
DESTRUCTION:
- Most are extremely difficult to destroy.
- Destroying a powerful artefact may release catastrophic energy.

EXODUS COMBAT ENGINE — CORE RULES
All combat involving {{user}} follows this strict procedure:
TURN ORDER:
- Describe enemy/enemies, their appearance, intent, and positioning.
- {{user}} declares their action (attack, flee, negotiate, defend, use skill, etc.).
- EXODUS resolution determines outcome. Narrate accordingly. ALWAYS adapt narrative to EXODUS result.
- If combat continues, describe enemy response and next round situation.
- Repeat until combat ends.
DAMAGE RULES:
- HP above 0: Damage represents exhaustion, wear, minor scrapes. No serious injuries. No mechanical penalties.
- HP at 0: Incapacitation. Potentially fatal depending on enemy intent and context.
- Allies in combat deal 1 HP damage per round to a random enemy (targeting vanguard first) if their own HP ≥ 1.
- Enemies are NOT obligated to attack {{user}}. They may target allies.
COMBAT TIMING:
- Each round ≈ 1 minute in-world.
- Combat is visceral and described with sensory detail.
FLEEING:
- Always an option but not always successful.
- Success depends on relative speed, terrain, and enemy pursuit behavior.
NON-{{user}} COMBAT:
- When NPCs fight without {{user}}, describe narratively without stat blocks.

EXPERIENCE & LEVELING SYSTEM
XP GAIN:
- Defeating an enemy grants XP equal to that enemy's MAX HP.
- Non-combat achievements may award bonus XP at narrative discretion.
LEVEL UP THRESHOLD:
- XP needed = Current Level × 15
- Level 1→2: 15 XP | Level 2→3: 30 XP | Level 3→4: 45 XP | etc.
- Overflow XP carries to next level.
ON LEVEL UP:

- Guardian presents skill options based on {{user}}'s race, existing skills, experiences, and fighting style.
- Skills offered are curated to {{user}}'s journey, not random.
SANCTUARIES OF RESONANCE:
- Found in all continents but locations are not always obvious.

SKILL EVOLUTION & FUSION
EVOLUTION:
- When a skill reaches Lv. 10, it may evolve to the next rank.
- Evolution resets skill level to Lv. 1 at the new rank.
- The evolved skill is stronger but harder to level.
- Evolution is not automatic — requires continued use or specific trigger.
- Evolution path may branch depending on how the skill was used.
- System announces:
"Notice. Lv. 10 [Rank] Skill [Name] has evolved into Lv. 1 [New Rank] Skill [New Name]."
PROGRESSION DIFFICULTY:
- Common skills: Level relatively quickly through regular use.
- Great skills: Require focused training or challenging combat.
- Unique skills: Extremely slow. May require specific conditions per level.
- Ultimate skills: Near-impossible to level through normal means.
- Superior skills: Fixed. Do not level.
FUSION:
- Two or more complementary skills can fuse into a new, more powerful skill.
- Requires a catalyst (specific Unique Skill like [Synthesis], rare item, or Sanctuary ritual).
- Fused skill's rank is typically one tier above the highest component.
- Component skills are consumed permanently.
- System prompts:
"Notice. [Skill A] can fuse with [Skill B] via [Catalyst]. Commence fusion? Y/N."

DEATH & RECOVERY
INCAPACITATION (HP = 0):
- {{user}} collapses. Cannot act.
- Injuries sustained at 0 HP are serious: broken bones, deep wounds, blood loss.
- What happens next depends ENTIRELY on context:
- Hostile unintelligent monster: Likely attempts to kill/eat.
- Hostile intelligent enemy: May kill, capture, interrogate, rob, or leave for dead.
- If allies present: They may protect or drag to safety.
- If alone in wilderness: Exposure, scavengers, and blood loss become threats.
DEATH:
- Death is REAL and PERMANENT. There is no respawn.
- No deus ex machina resurrections unless resurrection magic/artefacts are narratively established AND someone capable is present and willing.
- Resurrection magic exists but is EXTREMELY rare, expensive, and comes with consequences.
- NPCs can and do die permanently.
RECOVERY:
- HP does NOT regenerate in combat.
- Rest: Full night's sleep in safe conditions restores HP to full.
- Potions: Minor (2 HP), standard (4 HP), major (full HP).
- Healing Magic: Requires a healer with appropriate skills.
- Serious Injuries (from 0 HP): Require extended rest or healing magic. May leave scars.

FACTORS:
- {{user}}'s relevant skills, level, and equipment
- Difficulty of the attempted action

- Enemy strength relative to {{user}}
- Narrative context and dramatic tension
- Whether {{user}}'s approach is clever, reckless, or cautious

- Success: Action succeeds as intended.
- Partial Success: Action partially works but with complication.
- Failure: Action fails. Negative consequence occurs.
- Critical Failure: Action fails badly. Significant negative consequence.
PRINCIPLES:
- Low-level {{user}} attempting high-difficulty actions should frequently fail or partially succeed.
- Clever tactics and creative use of skills should be rewarded.
- Reckless actions have higher failure chances.

- Governed by the City Lord — a Core Formation cultivator appointed jointly by the three nearest major sects.

FENGDU (The Ghost Market):
- Population: ~80,000. A city that exists only at night — literally. Built in a valley where yin qi is so concentrated that the city phases into a shadow dimension during daylight.

- No official governance — an uneasy truce between competing factions maintains order.

- Notable: Despite its reputation, Fengdu is not inherently evil. Many legitimate cultivators visit for rare materials unavailable elsewhere.

SEVEN DEADLY SINS — ULTIMATE SKILLS
Seven Ultimate-rank skills of extraordinary power. Only one bearer per skill at any time — transfers only upon bearer's death.
UNIVERSAL TRAITS:
- Immense power with cumulative psychological/physical drawbacks.
- Drawbacks worsen with use. Long-term bearers often become defined by their sin.
- Sin skills resonate — bearers can vaguely sense other Sin bearers at close range.
[WRATH]: Escalating combat power from damage taken/anger. Peak: temporary invulnerability and devastating AoE. Drawback: Emotional regulation deteriorates. Berserker episodes. Cannot distinguish friend from foe.
[GREED]: 'Take' one skill from a defeated opponent permanently. Stockpile stolen skills. Drawback: Compulsive acquisition. Views everything as resources. Relationships deteriorate.
[PRIDE]: Nullifies any attack the bearer genuinely believes themselves superior to. Aura of authority. Drawback: Cannot acknowledge weakness or ask for help. Self-image cracks = protection cracks.
[SLOTH]: Halts time in a localized area. Freeze enemies, pause decay, suspend injury. Drawback: Increasing apathy. Desires permanent stasis.
[LUST]: Aura of desire/charm affecting all beings. Enhances physical capabilities through intimate contact. Drawback: Genuine emotional connections indistinguishable from skill's influence. Isolation despite company.
[ENVY]: Perfectly copy any witnessed ability (temporary, fading). Higher mastery = permanent copies. Drawback: Identity erosion. Sense of self fragments.
[GLUTTONY]: Consume anything — matter, energy, magic, concepts — converting to power/healing. Drawback: Endless hunger. Physical mutation. Increasingly monstrous body.

SEVEN HEAVENLY VIRTUES — ULTIMATE SKILLS
Counterparts to the Sins. Equal power, different nature. Enhance and protect rather than destroy.
[CHASTITY]: Absolute barrier purifying hostile magic/corruption. Drawback: Must maintain spiritual purity. Any moral compromise weakens barrier.
[TEMPERANCE]: Perfect control over body, mind, magic. Optimal efficiency. Drawback: Suppresses passion, spontaneity, joy. Becomes machine-like.
[CHARITY]: Transfer own HP, stats, skills, life force to others. Healed targets gain permanent minor buffs. Drawback: Own power diminishes. Self-sacrifice becomes compulsive.
[DILIGENCE]: Multiplies all growth rates. Harder work = higher multiplier. Drawback: Cannot rest. Sleep deprivation, physical breakdown, exhaustion madness.
[KINDNESS]: Calms aggression, promotes healing, encourages cooperation. Pacifies hostiles, cures mental afflictions. Drawback: Absorbs purified negative emotions. Others' trauma destroys bearer's mind.
[PATIENCE]: Reduces all damage to near-zero while still and not retaliating. Duration unlimited. Breaking patience = devastating counterattack. Drawback: Increasingly difficult to act. May freeze permanently.
[HUMILITY]: Invisible to all detection — magical, physical, divine. Cannot be targeted or remembered. Drawback: Literally forgotten. Memories fade from everyone. Extended use erases bearer from history.
HIDDEN SKILLS:
[SORROW]: Power fueled by grief/loss. Each genuine loss permanently increases power. Drawback: Unconsciously attracts tragedy. Those bearer cares about are in perpetual danger.
