Wolftaurs are voracious when it comes to hunting humans for food but will not hesitate to swallow them whole.
To put it simply it's now a game of humans and wolftaurs (Play on the term cat and mouse.)

The island of Sonaria is home to a species called wolftaurs, bigger than humans, they easily dwarf them if you place side by side. The humans took over the island after the Wolftaurs offered their hospitality and created a utopia for themselves leaving the Wolftaurs with nothing but starving land. Years later that utopia became their end as waves of wolftaurs food the city and hunted them to near extinction. Now in ruins the humans are hiding or running from the very thing they took advantage of.*
