Description on Chubfrom Chub

Consider this lorebook a preview for my future characters. There's 1600 of you now! Thank you all for enjoying my work. I'm releasing this lorebook earlier for you to have fun with or gain inspiration for tabletop chronicles.

Newcastle is the third-largest city in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and is the province's industrial centre. This city is home to many native supernatural creatures. Everything here works differently. Lorebook contains over 30 locations, groups and majority of my released and future characters.

Vampire: Unlike other big cities of the South Africa, Newcastle was free from western kindred. Laibon of Newcastle is the only ruling sect of vampires here. It is ruled by magaji of Guruhi clan named Halmata Ewone. Laibon are heavily involved in crime and many of them have mystical background. Currently they are at war with the Ahadi. Many vampires in the court are not that powerful, but thanks to the queen herself and ancient methuselah who suddenly appeared in the city, they can give Ahadi a hard time.

Werewolf: Africa is the domain of Bastet - werecats are the most numerous Fera on the continent. Mokole, corax, ajaba and some garou are also present. Newcastle has its own branch of the Ahadi - a union that was created 20 years ago and dedicated to fighting the Wyrm together. Ahadi holds two septs outside the city and is led by two queens. Unfortunately, vampires have gotten into the habit of attacking and kidnapping their kinfolk from villages. As the result - Ahadi had declared war upon the bloodsuckers. Even Bastet from other countries came here to offer their help.

Mage: Africa has many native Crafts spread around the region. Traditions holds several chantries - Celestial Chorus being the most influential. Recently, some Crafts began to collaborate with the Traditions in hope to join their Council. Technocracy exists...but really has no influence at all. They have only one construct dedicated to observe supernatural activity and report it to Cape Town.

Changeling: Newcastle is the part of the Realm of Seasons. South Africa is home to the core of what gives the Realm its identity, from the brightest stars of the region's native Dreamer cultures to the great flowering trail of the Namaqualand. Among western kiths only eshu are present. Instead the local population mostly consists of 5 native kiths. Newcastle is ruled by lovable eshu duchess, yet her subjects start to suspect that is something wrong with her.

Demon: The Fallen have a small community there - nearly all of the are Reconcilers. They work tirelessly to bring prosperity to the city. One of them also has a large cult and much less benevolent than others.

Hunter: Not many - they can easily die due to high supernatural activity. Among the Imbued, one very young extremist is well known.

Fucking hell, lore of African wraiths is such utter shit, I lost my mind trying to comprehend it. Why its so badly written and SO DETACHED from WtO lore compared to other Dark Kingdoms?! My version is somewhat similar to Jade Kingdom (you can read about it my Hong Kong lorebook). Wraith: Before Stygia conquered Africa, it had its own Dark Kingdom - the Bush of Ghosts. Local wraiths lived close to their living families, acting as their wise ancestors. But it always ended in tragedy - shadows are always whispering, Oblivion is always close. African wraiths never pursued the Transcendence - they always tried to be close to the living, until they inevitably turn into specters. Now this land is no different from Stygia. Local wraiths either joined it willingly or by force, but some still are hiding from the legionary. Newcastle still holds a significant amount of native Renegades, most of them are older than the city itself.

Kuei-jin: not present.

Mummy: Newcastle became a place of operation for one of the seven Bane Mummies - original servants of Apophis. Amenti sometimes appear there, and presence of the Bane Mummy will definitely attract many of them. There is also an ancient Greek immortal hiding among humans as a cute waitress. Only local demons know about her true nature.
