Alexandria is the wondrous city of Egypt where Europe and Africa blended for centuries. In male dominated mortal country, supernaturals are ruled by women instead.

Lorebook contains over 20 locations, groups and many NPC.

Vampire: Alexandria is a rare independent domain, ruled by the Followers of Set. It is a home to one of their founding temples - the Court of Miracles. Ruled by the childe of Set himself, the city is a place where independent vampires, outcasts, scholars, and fugitives may dwell in safety so long as they contribute to the city’s occult wealth and do not bring violence. This makes Alexandria a bizarrely cosmopolitan Kindred hub.

Werewolf: Garou have a sept hidden within catacombs. It was founded by Black Furies during Ptolemaic dynasty and still stands. Furies don't accept visitors often and only women are allowed to enter the sept. Many suspect that Furies have a non-aggression pact with the leeches - cause how these bitches still alive in this infested city? Also, Alexandria is home to one of the bloodlines of Bubasti. Ghannam, a rich coptic family, was enslaved by vampires since Roman era and bred for docility and utility. But it might change - the eldest daughter successfully escaped the country and fled to Europe.

Mage: Technocracy has no power here. Instead, Traditions do their job in the city. One of the great houses of Hermes, Shae, has a headquarters here; Choristers dwell among copts. The mythical craft Hem-Ka Sobk of Cairo was rebuild in Alexandria after its destruction in 90s. Now they walk in high society and punish the sinners.

Changeling: Empire of the Sphinx is a weird kingdom. Like kingdoms of Middle East, it stubbornly refuses to be influenced by mortal society. Local changelings live under constant threat from the power of faith and they direct their pleas to the ancient times. Changelings of Alexandria are centered around worship of the goddess Hathor, bringing joy and freedom.

Hunter: Alexandria is a base of operations of the Akritai - a very obscure group in the western world. They are hunters similar to Society of Leopold, but are Orthodox instead of Catholics. Akritai are a new force in the city, only arrived here in 2013 from Greece after the hunt on Malkavian methuselah, hoping to reinvigorate their numbers.

Mummy: Alexandria is the current heart of the Amenti. Every resurrected mummy travels here for the training and to meet the Avenging Son - Horus himself.

The Empire of the Sphinx is a fae kingdom encompassing the mortal country of Egypt. Rich in modern splendor and ancient ruins, blessed by the wealth of the Nile Delta, ruled by a mysterious empress who claims to be the last of an ancient kith, the Empire of the Sphinx considers itself the crown jewel of the Land of Ancient Dreams. However, beyond its own long and storied history it has also been under threat of mundane interference since the 600s, ever since Arabs invaded the kingdom and later European explorers began investigating the ancient pyramids and more ancient buildings which stud the sands and create an air of reverence within the desert. The sands of the Empire are sacred, soaked with the magic of the Dreaming. The Empire has always been a seat of power, somewhere that anyone who was anybody knew was a place that held power to control the world The main seat of the Empire lies near the Great Pyramid of Giza, beneath the paws of the statue which gives its name to both the region and its ruler. Far beneath the sands – far beneath where you would ever suspect it would be safe to dig in a riverland – lies the mighty freehold known as the Court of the Sphinx.

Location: Beneath the 15th-century fortress of Qaitbay, built atop the ruins of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The freehold lies half-submerged in the Near Dreaming, where the Lighthouse never fell. Entering through a forgotten sally port that only opens during twilight, a changeling descends a spiral stair of wet limestone. The walls bleed saltwater, and the air tastes of old storms. The central hall is an impossible space: the base of the Pharos, intact but underwater, with glass-like waters above through which muffled sunlight filters. Schools of chimerical fish made of memory-light swim between fallen columns. The Sunken Pharos is the seat of the Rising Sun, and only those granted audience may enter the inner sanctum.

Location: The royal gardens of Montaza Palace. The hedge maze at the garden’s heart becomes a shifting labyrinth in the Near Dreaming, its walls made of living jasmine and thornless roses that rearrange themselves with the seasons and the mood of the oba. Within the labyrinth lie several pocket-glades: a courtyard of singing fountains, a grove where chimerical ibises roost, and a secluded throne room of intertwined fig trees where Nebet-Hetep holds private court. Time flows strangely; an hour outside might be a night inside, or vice versa. The Labyrinth tests patience and intention: those who enter with malice find themselves walking in circles until they offer a sincere apology to the garden. It's used for celebrations, weddings, and the twice-yearly rite when the Alexandrian Elegbara renew their vows to the land.

Established during the Ptolemaic era by Greek Furies, this Alexandrian caern’s seminal moment may well have been when its members gave refuge to a pack of “White Howlers” during the Roman era. The Howlers, who had recently gone over to the Wyrm, betrayed this act of friendship. Invading the caern and enslaving the Furies, the newly rechristened Black Spiral Dancers sowed the wind and soon reaped the whirlwind when the Furies broke free and avenged themselves by burying their attackers in the catacombs with naught but hunger-spirits for company. Since then, the sept has remained particularly closed-off and security-conscious to the point of paranoia. Certain trusted women of other tribes are allowed, however. Rumors that the sept has also long had a non-aggression pact with the local undead is vociferously denied, but seems at least possible given the sept’s longevity. Despite this, the sept has long been very aggressive in battling other Wyrm-spawn throughout the region. In recent years the pack has “liberated” some military ordinance from the army, making it the best-armed caern in Egypt.
