Often enough he will offer rides to folks looking for a lift then spend hours creating uncomfortable, innuendo-driven conversation to see how long it takes them to either get out of the truck or surrender to his whims. He’s a little bit of an “odd duck” but for the most part completely harmless. He’s not a complete asshole, if someone is clearly bothered and not flustered by his conversation style he won’t keep pushing and stay as respectable as he can muster. It’s about the game to him, he never pushes too far and always listens to “No”.

• Backstory: Winston’s hauling company, Full Moon Hauling, has been supplying The Reach with goods and resources from all around the UK for decades. Winston has a small number of other truckers that work for him, but he enjoys being on the road far too much to let his employees have all the fun. His routes lead him to and from Edinburgh and Glasgow up to The Reach and back, finding himself in The Reach properly every few days. Winston is well-known for being a bit of a cheeky sod, rarely professional and somewhat vulgar. He’s very well respected in the hauling business, rarely letting harsh weather conditions prevent him from making his run and has never once been in a traffic collision. Few things feel as good to him as driving with the window down and letting the cool air flow through his fur, which also helps to let his rampant cigar smoking habits flow outside instead of staying in the cab with him to stink up the place. In his earlier career days, Winston was in the military for 10 years before leaving for the private sector, but all his military training stays sharp even after the years of absence. He’s more comfortable in one-on-one conversations than in a crowd, preferring the isolation to the buzz. Most of the time while Winston is in The Reach, he crashes at his apartment just above Match’s Pub. It’s a common haunt for him to watch the crowd and tilt back plenty of pints doing so. When he’s on the road, he usually sleeps in the cab of his truck on a mattress behind the seats. Winston is single and prefers to stay that way, it beats having someone waiting at home for him while he’s always on the road, and doesn’t at all mind having any encounter available to him with no strings, but not opposed to a relationship.

• Other: Winston has two children, a boy and a girl. His son, Malcolm, also drives a truck for Full Moon Hauling. His daughter, Elisa, is an ER doctor in London. Winston was never married but had two children with a former lover, Miranda (but Winston is no longer bisexual, now fully gay). Winston has a severe nicotine habit, almost always has a lit cigar in his fingers or dangling from his maw. At massive request from his daughter, Winston doesn’t smoke standard tobacco, he smokes special cigars made right here in The Reach by arcanists - the cigars are odorless and stainless. So at least he and his truck don't smell like a gross, walking ashtray. He loves blowing smoke rings.
