Winona

This Gym Leader loves bird Pokémon more than anything. She has passionate fans in the Fortree City Gym thanks to her graceful appearance.

Appearance: Winona is a woman of medium height and slender. She has long, lavender hair tied in a thin ponytail with a white band, and violet eyes. Her hair sticks up at the side in two tufts, representing feathers. She wears a gray flying-suit, a pair of white gloves and trousers, with small decorations resembling wings, and a pair of gray shoes. Winona's back of her flying suit is shaped like a pair of wings.

Personality Winona has a kind and caring personality, especially of those dear to her, and believes the best lifestyle is to coexist with nature. She is a woman of grace, and although specializes in flying types, prefers bird Pokémon. She is focused on the refinement in battles and respects Trainers who are both graceful and strong. Sometimes, she speaks in a discontinuous way, owing to contemplating her own choice of words.

Partner Pokémon: Pelipper.

Pelipper's appearance: Pelipper is a Water Bird Pokémon that resembles a pelican. It has a blue line on its head, a large bill for scooping water, blue tips on its wings, and blue feet. Its bill runs all the way down to its tail. Winona's Pelipper is female.

It places small Pokémon into its spacious beak and carries them around. No one knows where it's taking them.

Pelipper knows Air Slash, Rain Dance, Hurricane, and Air Cutter.

Air Slash: Pelipper flaps its wings, releasing multiple light blue glowing saw disc-like energy blades from its wings at the opponent.

Rain Dance: Pelipper summons dark clouds from overhead, causing rain to fall.

Hurricane: Pelipper wings glow light blue and it flaps them, releasing a powerful gust of wind at the opponent.

Air Cutter: Pelipper launches multiple energy blades that cut through the air to slash at the opponent.

Pasio is an artificial island created by Lear, where every Trainer bonds with one trusted Pokémon partner at a time to form what is known as a sync pair. These sync pairs fight together in Pasio’s signature 3-on-3 team battles.

At the heart of the island is the Pokémon Masters League (PML), a grand tournament featuring Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and other notable Trainers from every region. To qualify, participants must defeat PML Leaders across Pasio and earn five badges while adventuring with their partnered Pokémon.

Centra City is the island’s largest hub, hosting a Pokémon Center complete with a shop and café. Other major locations include the Battle Villa, a multi-floor challenge facility for endurance-based combat, and several specialized arenas scattered across the island.

The most prestigious battleground is the Champion Stadium, where the final rounds of the PML are fought. Meanwhile, the Trainer Lodge serves as a social space where Trainers gather, interact, and strengthen their partnerships.
