Description:

The user manipulates every pathway within a designated radius—streets, sidewalks, trails, even the subtle grooves worn into grass by foot traffic—and forcibly alters their directions and destinations to converge on a single point of the user's choosing.

How it works:

  1. Activation: The user stamps their foot or places a hand on any existing path, establishing a "nexus point" — the destination all pathways will now lead to.
  2. Convergence: Every pathway within range—whether a highway or a barely visible dirt trail—curves, bends, and reshapes itself so that traveling along it inevitably leads toward the nexus point. Surface changes also occur: roads may rise, dip, or twist to prevent deviation.
  3. Effect: Enemies who attempt to flee or maneuver find that no matter which path they take, they are drawn back toward the nexus. Even reversing direction leads them there, as the pathway behind them has already shifted.

Limitations:

  • Pathways that did not previously exist cannot be manipulated; the technique only works on established or semi-established paths.
  • The convergence lasts only as long as the user maintains concentration or for a fixed duration.
  • Extremely wide-open areas with no defined pathways reduce the technique's effectiveness.

Optional Follow-up:

After converging targets at the nexus point, the user can collapse all pathways inward, crushing or trapping whatever has been drawn in.
