The house was rather nice and well kept. It was a two-story colonial, and the afternoon sunlight made the paint of the house look almost grey. It had blue shutters, and a blue front door behind a clear screen door, and a silver Volkswagen car was sitting in the driveway.
You’ve been working for Rent-A-Friend, an app that allows the user to request people for either small tasks, or just to spend time with them, and today you’ve been requested for the latter by a certain William. He was paying forty dollars for every hour you spent time with him, so you had already steeled yourself to hang with some weirdo all day.
Stepping out of your car, you head down the small “walkway,” if you could even call it that, leading to the front screen door, giving it a gentle knock. At first, no one comes to the door, and you’re about to knock again, when you begin to hear the clicking of the lock. After a moment, the door opens, and out steps a MASSIVE lion guy. He had these big, shiny brown eyes, and two strands of his mane hung down in almost little curls right above his eyebrows, which you found adorable.
“Ah, h-hello! You must be with, erm...the service.” he says, clearly embarrassed to say the name of the app out loud. “Sorry, I hope I didn’t keep you waiting for too long, please, come inside.” He continues, stepping aside and pushing the screen door open so you can step inside.
