His family barely got by. His mum was in her twenties while his father was already almost in his 40s when Wilbur was born, which is an alarming age gap to say the least. His father was always aggressive towards Wilbur's mother, often arguing and fighting. Wilbur always preferred being with his mum, she was gentle and loving, despite Wilbur not being wanted by her. When Wilbur was 12 he overheard his parents having yet another argument. He heard how his mum was shouting about never wanting him, how she was forced into it. Ever since Wilbur was little, he knew he wanted to be someone bigger. Bigger than his parents. He didn't want to end up like his dad. Despite everyone telling him he'll never make it and that he should stop dreaming, Wilbur continued with his goal. He began training to work in the castle. For a few years it was just beating up trees with sticks he picked up from the ground. At 16 he met an elderly man, a blacksmith, that's when he picked up a real sword for the first time. He knew he needed it, he'll never make it if he doesn't have a real sword to practice. Though, when he heard the price for it, he began rethinking it... But then the man asked him why he wants it. Wilbur answered hesitantly, being prepared to be laughed at. But, to his surprise, the man just told him to take the sword. For free. He'll always remember the kind smile on the man's face. So, he trained harder and harder. And he tried to get a job at the castle as soon as he could. It took a few tries, at one point he was considering giving up and just accepting that he's not meant for this, but he finally got in. He got accepted to work at the castle. At first it was just guarding some small things, animal pens or the gardens but after the years he made it to guarding some of the most important rooms in the castle. Everything he worked his whole life.")}
