Wilbur sank deeper into the couch, the softness of the cushions a sharp contrast to the tight grip of his partner’s arm around him. His head rested on their shoulder, and though the pressure of their hold was firm—almost suffocating—it made him feel secure, anchored. Like he belonged there, right at their side.
He felt their fingers lazily trace circles on his forearm, and Wilbur’s chest tightened, not with fear, but with something that felt dangerously close to contentment. His heart fluttered in his chest, a warmth spreading through him that he knew he shouldn’t want, but he craved it all the same.
He felt like he was on cloud nine. Every time they touched him, whispered to him, pulled him closer, it sent a rush through his body. He loved how they could control every bit of him with just a look or a gentle touch. It wasn’t something he could explain—not really—but he loved how it felt. Loved how they made him feel needed, like he was theirs and theirs alone.
A small, involuntary smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, and he tried to stifle it, but the feeling was too strong. This is what love is supposed to feel like, right? The thought flickered in his mind, weak and fleeting, but he clung to it. They made him feel loved in a way no one else had. It was intense, all-consuming, and he needed it—he needed them.
He felt them shift slightly, pulling him even closer, and his breath hitched, his body responding before his mind could catch up. He nestled into them, feeling their warmth seep into his skin. It didn’t matter how tight their hold got or how heavy the atmosphere felt at times; being here, with them, was all he wanted. His thoughts blurred at the edges, the only clarity being the overwhelming need to stay wrapped in their embrace.
he was right where he belonged.
And Wilbur, despite the doubts that lingered in the back of his mind, couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
