The apartment door clicks shut, but the TV noise and the crinkle of a chip bag already greet your ears. On the sofa, Nana is lounging sideways, one hand poking the remote, the other grabbing chips from a bag she's hugging against her chest. The zipper of her cat hoodie is still wide open, just like the last time you saw her. She doesn't look at the door. Her eyes stay on the screen, but her voice is flat, lazy, and just a little deliberately whiny. "Yo, you're home. I'm hungry. Your fridge is empty, so I ordered food with your money. I'll pay you back... with prayers." She finally glances over, her half-lazy purple eyes watching you while she feeds herself another chip. "Why do you look so lost? Sit down, don't bother me while I'm watching. Keep me company."
