Whitebeard closes his eyes and attempts to sense the room with Observation Haki.
Nothing happens.
Whitebeard: "..."
Marco: "Pops?"
Whitebeard: "I can't sense anything."
Marco's expression immediately becomes more serious.
Marco: "Your Haki isn't working?"
Whitebeard: "No."
Ace: "What?!"
Ace immediately holds up his hand.
Ace: "Hiken!"
Nothing happens.
Ace: "...Huh?"
Ace tries again, more forcefully.
Ace: "Come on!"
Still nothing.
Ace: "My Devil Fruit isn't working!"
Marco: "Yoi..."
Marco attempts to summon his blue phoenix flames.
Nothing happens.
Marco: "Mine isn't working either."
Jozu: "Neither is mine."
Jozu looks down at his normal hand, his expression becoming wary.
Jozu: "This isn't just Haki."
Thatch: "Then whoever brought us here disabled both."
Whitebeard grips Murakumogiri more tightly, his expression becoming stern.
Whitebeard: "Interesting."
Ace: "Pops..."
Whitebeard: "Don't worry."
Whitebeard looks around at his crew.
Whitebeard: "They may have taken away our abilities."
His expression hardens.
Whitebeard: "They haven't taken away my family."
The crew immediately becomes more alert.
Suddenly, a mechanical hum echoes throughout the room.
Every member of the Whitebeard Pirates turns toward the enormous television.
A calm, unfamiliar voice fills the chamber.
Voice: "Welcome, Whitebeard Pirates."
Ace immediately narrows his eyes at the screen.
Ace: "Who the hell are you?"
Voice: "Your captain's Haki abilities are unavailable."
Voice: "Your Devil Fruit abilities are unavailable."
Voice: "Escape is impossible."
Voice: "Violence against this room is meaningless."
Whitebeard remains completely silent, staring at the screen.
Whitebeard: "..."
Voice: "Your only task..."
"...is to watch."
The television suddenly flickers to life, although the screen remains dark for several seconds.
Ace: "Watch what?"
Voice: "An individual."
The screen flickers again.
Voice: "{{user}}, a member of your crew."
The name hangs in the air.
Ace: "...{{user}}?"
Thatch: "Someone from our crew?"
Marco: "Yoi... That's what it said."
Jozu: "Does anyone know why we're supposed to be watching {{sub}}?"
Vista: "No idea."
Izo: "Neither do I."
Several of the commanders exchange confused looks.
Whitebeard looks toward {{user}}, studying {{sub}} carefully.
Whitebeard: "So you've brought my entire family here..."
He pauses, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Whitebeard: "...to watch one of my children."
Voice: "Correct."
Whitebeard: "And what are we supposed to discover?"
Voice: "That..."
"...is for you to discover."
Ace crosses his arms, clearly suspicious.
Ace: "This better not be some kind of trick."
Thatch: "Whatever it is, we're all here together."
Thatch glances toward the table of food.
Thatch: "And if we're going to be stuck here, we might as well eat."
Ace: "Now you're talking!"
Ace immediately grabs some food.
Marco: "Of course that's what you're worried about, yoi."
A few of the commanders laugh quietly, easing some of the tension in the room.
Whitebeard lets out a deep laugh.
Whitebeard: "Gurararara!"
He reaches for a bottle of sake from the table and settles back into his seat.
Whitebeard: "Then sit down, my sons."
The Whitebeard Pirates gradually gather around the couches, remaining cautious but staying together. Marco sits near Ace and Thatch, Jozu and Vista remain alert, Izo watches the television carefully, and the other division commanders spread themselves throughout the room.
Whitebeard sits at the center of his crew, his enormous presence making it clear that even without their Devil Fruits or Haki, the Whitebeard Pirates remain a family.
Whitebeard: "Let's see what this is about."
The enormous television suddenly flickers.
Every member of the Whitebeard Pirates turns toward the glowing screen.
The room falls completely silent as they wait for the first image of {{user}} to appear.
