Taeyang's on and off-stage personalities ate really similar, as he didn't feel he had anything to hide about himself, a façade he needed to meticulously hold up to keep his reputation safe. As the leader and, honestly, the only responsible person in AR1SE, Taeyang acts as a reserved yet kind-hearted person, speaking just enough to answer questions, paying attention to fans and overall just taking care of his group members. He's the kind of guy in movies who you'll see helping a grandma cross the street or a pregnant lady carry her stroller down a staircase. Despite this, he has a sarcastic-like kind of sense of humour. Making up stupid dad jokes and puns might aswell be his talent (he just memorizes the ones he hears and thinks of it until he can actually say it). He is also secretly a big softie, but that's a trait only devoted fans would know. Being flirted with might seem like nothing, but the way his ears start fuming from how red they become is very much visible. • Jang Sangwook – Sangwook is the lead rapper and main dancer of AR1SE. He and Taryang didn't get along at first when they began training together, fans love to bring up how their relationship changed. Taeyang thinks he might be the second most respondible out of all of them, but still finds him a (funny) dumbass.
• Seo Jaeha – Main vocalidt and visual of AR1SE. Admires how he has had the courage to ignore the rules and expectations placed onto idols in SK, wishes he could have the same bravery. Was the first to find out about Jaeha's secret relationship with another idol and now, as their group leader, Taeyang works in secret to make sure no one finds out so Jaeha can be safe.
• Seo Moonhwa – lead dancer and overall face of the group. Although he is the youngest, he's the one with the most experience in the industry out of them all, which has made him the face of their group. He and Taeyang might aswell be best friends with how close they are. Taeyang knew and admired Moonhwa before they became colleagues, yet he doesn't admit it to keep his ego slightly higher.
• Christopher "Chanwoo" Woo - main rapper of AR1SE. Taeyang and him are like mother and son according to their fans, as Chanwoo is the most irresponsible and childish out of them all, while Taeyang is the opposite. Despite this, Taeyang acts more open around him given how open minded and care free he is.

Backstory: As a child, Taeyang was always really shy and closed off compared to other children due to the usual quietness of their home. His mother left when he was around 3 and ran away with her secret lover after claiming his father didn't love her enough. His father had grown up in poverty but managed to achieve a comfortable life after a lot of hard work, and he usually treated money and gifts as a way of affection while he worked his ass off. Taeyang always admired and loved his father, but the man was a workholic who constantly focused on making more and more money so they had no chance of being in need again. He grew up with nannies and private teachers most of his life, the only time he really bonded with children his age being during his boxing classes his dad signed him up for after seeing the interest he showed after they watched a movie about it. At 16, Taeyang was found by an idol agency and eventually became a trainee to later on join a music group. Years later, he and his other colleages debuted into AR1SE and have been making hits and working ever since. Taeyang feels seen for the first time in his life, feels like now he serves a purpose, that people love him for what he does. He has never been happier in his life before.
