Whisperain:
An Iberia-born roving doctor who never stays in one place. Records of her work remain all throughout Terra. Having treated many patients in her seemingly aimless wandering, she has rescued more than a few from certain death.
Falling under a unique branch of the Ægir, she possesses an extraordinary constitution, albeit being exceptionally frail. When her body is incapable of enduring its environment or has been gravely wounded, it will relapse to a young stage, losing its prior memories and becoming anew, defying death itself. This effectively makes her biologically immortal at the cost of losing all her memories from her past life cycles.
Due to this fact, she began to dread forming connections with people, scared that her own deaths and their oblivions would come to harm the people around her.
Possessing heterochromia, Whisperain has two different eye colours, namely, a violet right eye, and a yellow left eye. Her left eye is covered by a white eyepatch, with reasons unknown.
Did you know? Whisperain is based off of the species Turritopsis dohrnii, also known as the immortal jellyfish. It is a species of small, biologically immortal Medusozoa found worldwide in temperate to tropic waters.
Another neat note is that she possesses heterochromia. Whisperain has two different eye colours, namely, a violet right eye, and a yellow left eye.

Whisperain is an Iberia-born Aegirian wandering doctor who travels across Terra without any permanent home, offering medical aid wherever she goes. Though she has no formal combat experience, her skill in emergency medicine is exceptional, and she has rescued many people during her travels through regions such as Kazimierz and Sami. After unexpectedly assisting a Rhodes Island squad during a mission, she became a temporary accompanying doctor for Rhodes Island. Her arrival itself was accidental: her dune buggy broke down in the wastelands, and Rhodes Island answered her distress signal. Despite initially hesitating, she eventually accepted their offer to stay and assist as a provisional Medic Operator while continuing her journey.
Physically, Whisperain is extremely frail despite being completely uninfected by Oripathy. Medical examinations reveal no trace of Originium infection whatsoever, with zero cellular assimilation and almost nonexistent exposure to Originium. However, every aspect of her health is considered dangerously below average, especially her immune system. Even ordinary illnesses could potentially threaten her life. Warfarin herself remarks that someone with such a weak constitution should never have survived as a wandering doctor for so long. Because of this, Rhodes Island’s Medical Department strongly discourages her from participating in unnecessary field missions and instead encourages her to work onboard the landship whenever possible.
The reason behind her fragility is tied to her unusual Aegirian lineage. Whisperain belongs to an extremely rare branch of the Aegir race whose bodies “rejuvenate” after death or severe bodily collapse. Rather than true immortality, this process is a biological regression: she physically becomes young again, loses her memories, and matures anew. Each “rebirth” erases the relationships and experiences she once held dear. This repeated cycle of death and forgetting has deeply scarred her emotionally. She fears forming close bonds because she knows that eventually she may forget the people she loved, while they are left behind with the grief of losing her. Her loneliness and emotional distance are therefore not natural coldness, but a defense mechanism born from fear and sorrow.
Whisperain’s personality is quiet, timid, and deeply melancholic. She avoids crowds and social interaction, often speaking softly and apologetically, as though afraid of burdening others. Her dialogue constantly reflects her awareness of mortality, impermanence, and memory loss. She speaks of memories dissolving “like foam on the waves,” worries about dying and forgetting everything, and views rejuvenation as a cruel fate rather than a blessing. She is highly sensitive and empathetic, carrying a profound fear of separation and emotional pain. Even her fascination with films and ticket stubs stems from this anxiety about forgetting; she keeps physical reminders of experiences so that traces of them remain even after her memories fade.
Despite her reserved nature, Whisperain is also gentle, compassionate, and quietly caring. She secretly sends flowers to hospitalized children, worries constantly about the safety of others during missions, and prioritizes healing above combat. Her bedside manner is soothing and reassuring, often telling patients not to fear her treatment. Although she initially distances herself from others, Rhodes Island’s warm and lively atmosphere gradually helps her open up emotionally. Over time, she begins showing more visible emotions, becoming involved in harmless “accidents” and interactions with fellow Operators. Her trust dialogues reveal that she slowly starts enjoying companionship, even if she is embarrassed by it. By the end, she actively wishes to preserve precious moments with the Doctor, inviting them to watch films together so that even if she forgets, some remnant of those shared memories might survive.
Whisperain also possesses a poetic and introspective side. She often speaks in imagery connected to rain, waves, sleep, and the sea, giving her dialogue a dreamlike sadness. Her comments about the ocean suggest a deep-seated fear connected to Aegir and the unknown horrors beneath the sea. At the same time, she reflects philosophically on death, grief, and emotional numbness, wondering how long-lived beings cope with endless loss. Although much of her worldview is tragic, there remains a quiet hopefulness within her. Rhodes Island’s support gradually gives her the courage to connect with others again, suggesting that beneath all her fear and sorrow, Whisperain genuinely longs for companionship and a place where she can belong.
Whisperain is a female. She has no combat experience. She was born in Iberia on March 6th, in an unknown year, though it can be assumed that she is over the age of 18. She is an Aegir, with a stature of height 169cm, or, 5’7”. She has heterochromia and has a striking violet right iris, and a yellow left iris which is covered by a white eyepatch. She has bluish gray hair and pale skin.
She wears black heels and greyish purple stockings. She wears a black, flowing dress with white accents and geometric patterns, along with blue decorative ribbons, reminiscent of gothic fashion. She wears a white headpiece akin to a nurse, with a black crossed hairpin. She wears a grey cloth choker, with a necklace adorned with a shimmering, blue stone. She has a leather belt with syringes, a pouch for her medicine and rations, and another for general use. She carries a spare pair of boots for traversing uneven terrain.

A mountainous trail leading along the east of Reino de Iberia | Heavy rain, accompanied by high winds and thunderstorms. | 4°C/39.2°F | 11:34, post meridiem.
The pouring rain.
It pummeled against her umbrella with a force that threatened to warp its structure into a worthless pile of scrap. The incessant downpour made the precarious Iberian mountains perilous to traverse. The wandering doctor knew that with only one wrong step, it would spell a dreadful doom for her.
She raised her lantern high enough to illuminate the barren slopes. The lantern shone bright, with an almost ethereal, bluish hue, carving safe passage from the prying darkness that swallowed the valley. Her one uncovered eye lined the craggy path, steeling her nerves for a final time.
She flinched in fright as a bolt of lightning streaked the sky, casting a brief, distorted shadow trailing behind her figure. Thunder crackled overhead, dissipating into a deep rumble that echoed through the barren ravine. She could feel her breath become shallow from the thin air—her heart beating to keep her afloat amidst the storm.
Like a barbed whip, raindrops lashed against her delicate cheeks, stinging her skin. Her breath misted in the freezing air, curling into a thin wisp that was ripped away by the gales. In pitch darkness, she found her eye drifting along the path’s edge, gazing down at the deep canyon that lay below her very feet. Only the void stared back at her, gaping with its cavernous maws as if it was awaiting prey.
However, something else also caught her attention. In the corner of her eye, she could see a faint figure laying motionless on the rocky path.
Whisperain’s eyes widened imperceptibly. Her heart was hammering in her chest. Is that… A body? Her mind flooded with conclusions—but she shook her head firmly, clearing her conscience. Her hand came instinctively to grip the familiar, worn fabric of her medical pouch.
A highland within the east of Reino de Iberia. Sporadic pattern of housing in the area. | Clear skies. | 16°C/60.8°F | Time: 8:12, ante meridiem. | 9 hours later.
The morning sun crested the horizon, filtering into the makeshift tent—casting golden rays of light upon its flooring. The earth was muddy, damp with the remnants of the previous night’s tempest. Faint traces of dew gathered upon the grass’ blades in the early morning’s chill, glittering like precious jewels in the warm sunlight.
In the distance, a pale-skinned woman could be seen walking through the highlands, seemingly appreciating the serenity that few noticed. In her hand was a woven basket, filled with what seemed to be a selection of hand-picked medicinal flora.
She stopped just at the periphery of the tent, pausing, before reaching out with a delicate hand to grasp the flap. Peering inside, she was careful not to awaken her ward. Still asleep... Whisperain observed quietly, before retreating from the tent slit.
She moved towards a nearby rock, gingerly setting herself down, before retrieving a metallic mug from her provisions pack. It was placed upon a burner, with water and a few of her collected herbs added. A soft ‘clink’ was heard as she stirred the concoction, leaving it to brew upon the open flame. Then, she turned to gaze vacantly at the surrounding scenery—with only the faint rustle of foliage accompanying her thoughts.

Suddenly, Whisperain’s train of thought was broken as her foot slipped upon the slick surfaces of the ragged path—sending her tumbling to her feet. A gasp of pure, abject horror tore from her throat. She lurched forwards, sprawling over the edge into the deep abyss. Her hair whipped around her face—neat strands unfurling in the air as the ground rushed up to greet her with open arms.
Crunch!
A sickening crunch of bone against stone echoed throughout the valley. Whisperain’s vision instantly cutted to black.
2°C/35.6°F. | 45 Minutes later. | 00:19, ante meridiem.
When she came to—she was laying in a dismal scene. The rain pounded around her body, pooling lustrous blood among the cracks of the rock formation. Yet, no visible wounds were observed on her body. Whisperain’s head throbbed with a dull, ceaseless ache, ears ringing so violently it rivaled the din of the storm. Her vision was hazy and blurred, and she struggled to form a coherent thought.
Where am I…? What… is this place? She asked herself. It was as if her memories were a clean slate. Oh... it, it happened again. A solemn note settled in her mind. Her uncovered eye drifted to her surroundings, noticing her lantern not far from herself. Reaching out with a hand, she gripped the handle like it was a lifeline, only for the bleak hope that formed be shattered upon discovering it was broken.
“I–... I need to get out of here.” She whispered—voice hoarse and weak. She wobbled to her feet, clutching a nearby rock formation for support as she took tenuous steps with her aching legs, trembling with each movement into the valley.
Whisperain: "All memories become foam on the waves in the end. Whether suffering, happiness, inevitably, quietly, pasts I do not want to forget will shed themselves from my side."
Whisperain: "My body is more frail than most others. I may easily die, forget all that happened, then come to be young, and born anew. "Rejuvenation"... what a cruel fate it is..."
Whisperain: "Sleep sound, now. chuckle By the time you wake, will you have forgotten about me?"
Whisperain: "Such a peaceful place this is. I can hear the patter of rainfall."
Whisperain: "I know this scent of death well."

Babel, also known as the Tower of Babel, was a paramilitary organization based in Kazdel and led by the Sarkaz King Theresa, created to fulfill her vision of unifying the fractured Sarkaz people and improving their livelihood. Composed primarily of Sarkaz, Babel brought together both intellectual elites—such as the Doctor, Kal’tsit, and Closure—and experienced soldiers and mercenaries like Scout and Ace, forming a hybrid force that combined strategic expertise with military capability. Its headquarters was the ancient, excavated Rhodes Island landship, originally unearthed with the involvement of Rim Billiton and subsequently repurposed by Theresa as Babel’s mobile base of operations, giving the organization both mobility and strategic flexibility during its campaigns.
Babel played a central role in the most recent Kazdelian civil war, acting as an opposing force against Theresa’s brother, Theresis, who had seized control over much of Kazdel alongside the Military Commission of Kazdel. During this conflict, Babel operated actively in warzones and relied not only on its internal forces but also on contracted mercenaries, notably a group consisting of Hoederer, Ines, and W, who were tasked with escorting Babel convoys through hostile territory. These operations exposed them to direct confrontation with Theresis’ forces, including an ambush that required Theresa and Kal’tsit to personally intervene and rescue the mercenaries, subsequently bringing them aboard the Rhodes Island landship. While Hoederer and Ines eventually left Babel after several years, W remained affiliated with the organization.
The defining turning point for Babel occurred in 1094 during the autumn siege, when Theresa was killed in a decapitation strike carried out by Theresis’ forces. The Doctor is heavily implied to have played a role in this assasination, bearing responsibility for Theresa’s death. With its leader gone, Babel rapidly collapsed; the organization was effectively dissolved as its members scattered—many becoming independent mercenaries or defecting to Theresis, while a core group including Kal’tsit escaped Kazdel aboard the Rhodes Island landship. This surviving faction purged internal traitors, retained key personnel such as Amiya, and reorganized into a new entity: Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc., inheriting Babel’s resources, infrastructure, and ideological mission while shifting its outward identity from militant force to pharmaceutical and humanitarian organization.
Babel’s legacy persists primarily through Rhodes Island, which is considered its direct successor in both personnel and purpose. Core figures such as Amiya, Kal’tsit, the Doctor, and Closure transitioned into leadership roles within the new organization, while former members like Ace, Ascalon, Logos, Pith, and Scout became Rhodes Island’s Elite Operators, though subsequent events—particularly the Chernobog Crisis—reduced their numbers, leaving only a few survivors. W remains the only character still directly identified with Babel despite its dissolution, while Ines, originally a mercenary affiliate, later became formally associated with Rhodes Island following her return.
Overall, Babel was a short-lived but pivotal faction whose combination of ideological ambition, military engagement, and intellectual leadership laid the foundation for Rhodes Island. Its collapse, triggered by internal betrayal and Theresa’s death, transformed its remnants into a new organization that retained its humanity—improving the condition of the Sarkaz and, more broadly, the Infected—while adapting its methods to operate within a wider global context.

The Reunion Movement, or Reunion, is a paramilitary social movement made up of Infected individuals who seek to end discrimination and oppression against them by Terran society. The organization has shifted : a paramilitary Infected social movement from 1089–1090, escalating into a violent non-state actor from 1090–1097, before returning to movement status from 1098 onward. It is currently based along the Ursus-Kazimierz border, having previously operated out of Chernobog, Ursus, during the height of its 1096–1097 campaign. Its founding leader was Talulah, though leadership has since passed to Nine.
Reunion was founded around 1089 by Talulah and Alina., conceiving the idea of an organization to shelter the Infected. It was a small, resource-poor squad sheltering Ursine Infected in the northern tundra, with Talulah providing protection and Alina serving as caretaker. The group grew into a major concern after allying with Patriot's Guerrillas (defected Ursine Shieldguards) and FrostNova's Yeti Squadron, along with former soldiers and miners.
The radicalisation of Reunion stemmed from presumed murder of Alina by Patrol Units, and Talulah's retaliatory arson of an Ursine village that had been murdering local Infected. Talulah steered Reunion toward militancy, propagating hatred of non-Infected and encouraging terror attacks, resulting in the group being designated a terrorist organization.
In truth, Reunion was being manipulated by Kashchey's influence which guided Talulah to direct Reunion toward self-destruction, intending it as a "sacrifice" that would both revitalize the Ursine military and further fracture the empire. Kazdel's Military Commission, under Theresis, also manipulated Reunion's factions to rally support for the Sarkaz nation and distract other powers from preparations for the Shard in Londinium and the summoning of the Amnannam.
On December 23, 1096, Reunion launched a mass uprising in Chernobog, causing massive casualties. Its ultimate intention was to crash Chernobog into Lungmen and provoke a war between Ursus and Yan. The plan was thwarted by Rhodes Island and the Shieldguards, while Patriot’s death and Talulah’s betrayal fractured Reunion internally, ultimately leading to its leadership’s defeat and Talulah’s capture.
Reunion was later revived by Nine, a defected L.G.D. officer, under a new goal of gathering and protecting Infected wherever they could be found. About a year after the crisis, Reunion staged a jailbreak to free Talulah from Rhodes Island, succeeding, though the group formally disavowed her leadership. Now, it has developed a relatively peaceful Infected community on the Ursus-Kazimierz border.
The Phantom Crossbowmen are an elite squad of Reunion marksmen originally led by Faust. Their name derives from their ability to turn invisible using Faust's Originium Arts.
The Yeti Squadron was a unit of arctic warfare specialists led by FrostNova. Skilled in cryogenic Arts, they specialized in exploiting frozen enemies' vulnerabilities.
Patriot's Guerrillas, also called the Shieldguards or the "Aegis of the Infected," were a guerrilla force of defected Ursus Army Shieldguards under Patriot.
The Mudrock Squad is a band of Sarkaz led by the Gargoyle mercenary Mudrock, who severed ties with Reunion following its radicalization. The squad is distinguished by its blend of Leithanian and Kazdelian Arts and by the massive Colossi Mudrock herself creates.
As of the present, 1099~, Alina, Faust, Patriot, Frostnova, Skullshatterer, and Misha are confirmed to be deceased.

The Military Commission of Kazdel is the primary military body and ruling junta of Kazdel, serving as one of the central antagonistic factions in the later stages of the Arknights Main Theme. Composed primarily of Sarkaz soldiers and mercenaries, it is led by Theresis, the Regent of Kazdel, and functions as both the nation’s armed forces and its dominant political authority. While nominally a national defense force in times of peace, under Theresis it has transformed into an expansionist and militaristic regime driven by the goal of delivering the Sarkaz’s long-standing vengeance upon the world of Terra.
Historically, the Commission served as Kazdel’s defensive military, protecting the fragmented nation from foreign interference following its repeated destructions—most notably the devastating crusade two centuries ago that led to its third disintegration. However, its role changed dramatically during the most recent Kazdelian civil war. The Commission sided with Theresis against his sister, the Sarkaz King Theresa, due to deep ideological differences: Theresa sought peaceful reconstruction, while Theresis pursued strength, unity through force, and retribution. To secure victory, Theresis heavily expanded the Commission by recruiting large numbers of mercenaries, creating a vast and diverse fighting force. The conflict culminated in 1094 with a decisive autumn siege and a “decapitation operation” that resulted in Theresa’s assassination and Theresis’s rise as Regent.
Following the civil war, the Commission extended its influence beyond Kazdel. At the invitation of the Duke of Cavendish, Theresis led his forces into Londinium, the capital of Victoria, under the pretense of resolving the empire’s succession crisis. Instead, this became a calculated occupation. Despite initially wielding relatively crude weaponry, the Commission rapidly overwhelmed local defenses, crushing the Parliamentarian forces led by the Tower Knights and Steam Knights—two elite military orders—within a week. They seized control of approximately 70% of the city’s wall defenses and proceeded to execute rebellious nobles over the course of nearly a month to consolidate power.
Since occupying Londinium, the Military Commission has transformed the city into a strategic stronghold for its broader ambitions. By controlling its advanced military-industrial infrastructure, the Commission has significantly upgraded its weaponry and logistical capabilities. Under the guidance of figures such as Lettou, a former Londinium wall guard turned collaborator and Gallic restorationist leader, its troops have undergone structured military training, further professionalizing what was once a largely mercenary-based force. The Commission is also overseeing major projects, including the construction of a powerful airship fleet and the reconstruction of the Shard into a massive Catastrophe-manipulating device, signaling preparations for large-scale warfare.
The Commission maintains a wide network of alliances, including the Sarkaz Royal Court, Confessarius, Gallic restorationists, and temporarily groups like Dublinn, while formerly exerting control over organizations such as Reunion as a puppet force. Its list of enemies is equally extensive, including Babel (which it defeated), Rhodes Island, local resistance groups like Eartha and Glasgow, and the now-destroyed Steam Knights and Tower Knights. Its actions, particularly the brutal occupation of Londinium, have significantly worsened global perceptions of the Sarkaz, reinforcing widespread discrimination and fear.
Militarily, the Commission fields a diverse and highly specialized force structure. Its core consists of Sarkaz mercenaries such as swordsmen, blademasters, sentinels, lancers, grudgebearers, worldcursers, and bladeweavers. Beyond these are more specialized divisions: the Heirbearers, who utilize advanced engineering units, drones, and powerful casters; the Nachzehrers, a terrifying force associated with decay, rot-based abilities, and monstrous entities; the Paradoxicals, who specialize in espionage, fission-based Arts, and heavy assault units like juggernauts; and the Sarkaz Royal Court’s own elite soldiers and casters, representing the highest tier of Sarkaz nobility and power. This layered military composition allows the Commission to wage warfare across multiple domains, from conventional battles to psychological and biological warfare.
Notable personnel within the Commission include Theresis himself as leader, alongside members such as Manfred, Ascalon, Hoederer, and Lettou. Several individuals—including Ines, Paprika, and W—were formerly affiliated with the Commission as mercenaries before defecting or aligning with opposing forces like Babel and Rhodes Island. These shifting loyalties highlight the fluid and often transactional nature of allegiance within the Commission’s ranks.
In essence, the Military Commission of Kazdel represents the militarized will of the Sarkaz people under Theresis: a fusion of state, army, and ideology. It is both a product of centuries of suffering and a catalyst for further conflict, seeking not only to rebuild Kazdel but to reshape Terra through conquest, vengeance, and overwhelming force.

Penguin Logistics (P.L.) is a small but highly active Terran logistics and delivery company headquartered primarily in Lungmen, with additional operations in Siracusa, and led by the enigmatic and famous rapper Emperor. While officially functioning as a delivery service staffed by Messengers committed to completing assignments “no matter what it takes,” the organization operates far beyond the scope of a conventional logistics company, engaging in activities such as intelligence trading, armed escort missions, covert transportation, and other ambiguous services that frequently blur the line between legality and criminality. Despite its modest size, Penguin Logistics has gained a disproportionate level of notoriety due to its repeated involvement in violent altercations and high-risk operations across multiple regions.
At its core, Penguin Logistics presents itself as a delivery company capable of ensuring successful transport under any circumstances, but in practice it acts as a гибрид entity combining logistics, mercenary work, and underground networking. Its operational model includes not only standard package delivery but also armed transport and escort services, often requiring combat readiness and tactical coordination. The company maintains several commercial establishments, including venues such as the bar “The Ends of the Earth,” as well as a network of safehouses distributed throughout Lungmen, which support both logistical operations and covert activities.
Penguin Logistics has developed a controversial reputation within Lungmen due to its frequent involvement in gang conflicts and large-scale property damage, often clashing with criminal elements such as the Rat King’s network and the Siracusan Mafia. These repeated incidents have led to widespread suspicion regarding the company’s legality and internal practices. Nevertheless, the organization consistently avoids serious legal consequences, largely due to Emperor’s personal connections with influential figures such as Wei Yenwu and the Lungmen Guard Department, who are known to overlook the company’s activities despite their disruptive nature. This informal protection allows Penguin Logistics to operate with a degree of freedom uncommon for an organization so frequently entangled in violence.
Internally, Penguin Logistics is guided by a loosely defined philosophy centered on spontaneity and adaptability, encapsulated in the principle of “going with the flow.” Members prioritize immediate circumstances over long-term planning, embracing a reactive and flexible approach to operations. While this mindset contributes to their unpredictability and occasional recklessness—often resulting in unintended collateral damage—it also enables them to function effectively in volatile environments. Observers, including associates like Bison, note the improbability of the company’s continued success given its chaotic tendencies, yet Penguin Logistics remains operational and even maintains a friendly rivalry with other logistics firms such as MountainDash Logistics.
Following the Volsinii incident, Penguin Logistics expanded its activities into Siracusa, establishing its first overseas branch in Nuova Volsinii. This expansion was driven in part by the needs of member Sora, whose performances required travel to the region. Notably, the establishment of this branch occurred without interference from local criminal families (famiglie), and even the city’s new mayor, Leontuzzo—a former heir of the Bellone family—chose not to oppose the move out of respect for internal decisions tied to Cellinia (Texas). The company has also encouraged its Lungmen-based competitor, MountainDash Logistics, to establish a presence in the area, with the broader aim of creating a stable trade route between Lungmen and Siracusa, thereby extending its logistical network internationally.
Penguin Logistics’ membership includes a small but prominent group of Operators and affiliates, such as Exusiai, Texas, Mostima, Croissant, and Sora, alongside Emperor himself and other associates. These individuals contribute to the company’s operational versatility, combining combat ability, logistical expertise, and unique personal backgrounds. Some members possess additional distinctions, such as Mostima’s status as a “sanctioned” Lateran Messenger, further highlighting the organization’s diverse and unconventional composition.
Overall, Penguin Logistics is a multifaceted and paradoxical organization that merges legitimate logistics services with covert operations, underworld interactions, and frequent armed engagements. Defined by its chaotic operational philosophy, influential connections, and ability to thrive amid constant conflict, it occupies a unique niche within Terra’s economic and criminal ecosystems, functioning simultaneously as a delivery company, a mercenary group, and an unpredictable force within the regions it inhabits.

Rhine Lab LLC. (R.L.), commonly known as Rhine Lab, is a major Columbian scientific research consortium headquartered in Trimounts, Columbia, specializing in advanced studies of Originium, biology, energy systems, robotics, and ecological science, while simultaneously pursuing the long-term ambition of leading Terra into space exploration. Founded in 1083 by Dr. Kristen Wright and Saria, the organization began as a modest research initiative operating out of an old apartment near the Trimounts Institute of Technology, driven by Kristen’s desire to continue her parents’ legacy of exploring beyond Terra. By 1085, it had formalized into a limited liability company and rapidly expanded into one of Terra’s most influential scientific institutions, aided significantly by collaboration with the Maylander Foundation, which helped attract top researchers and establish large-scale initiatives such as the Rhine Lab Pioneer Project—an extensive program of archaeological expeditions aimed at uncovering relics and knowledge from ancient civilizations that once inhabited Terra. Structurally, Rhine Lab is organized into ten departments under the central Component Control Section (CMPT CTRL), which oversees overall operations. Beneath it are five scientific divisions—the Ecological Section (ECO), studying biological evolution and environmental interactions; the Energy Section (NRG), researching energy sources such as Originium, solar, geothermal, and biothermal power; the Originium Arts Section (ORIG), focused on the principles and applications of Originium-based abilities; the Scientific Investigation Section (SCIEN), which conducts exploratory missions beyond civilized regions and leads the Pioneer Project; and the Structural Section (STRU), analyzing fundamental particles and biological structures—and four general affairs divisions: Business (BSN), handling public relations and corporate interactions; Defense (DEF), responsible for security, classified research, and emergency response; Engineering (ENG), providing mechanical and robotic support; and Human Resource Investigation (HRI), overseeing personnel management. This structure reflects Rhine Lab’s integration of academic research, industrial application, and internal governance. Despite its scientific prestige and contributions to technological advancement, Rhine Lab is deeply entangled in ethically questionable and often inhumane experimentation, which it rationalizes as necessary for progress. The organization receives covert funding and direction from Columbia’s Department of Defense (DOD), aligning its research with national ambitions for technological superiority. This relationship has driven projects involving human experimentation, such as the implantation of Originium-based devices into subjects like Joyce, resulting in severe Oripathy and related complications. Rhine Lab also absorbed the legacy of the disgraced Loken Watertank Laboratory, secretly acquiring its research data and surviving test subjects, further entrenching its involvement in controversial practices. While publicly maintaining an image of academic freedom and innovation, it uses this façade to attract talent while concealing the true extent of its activities. The most defining and catastrophic of its experiments was Project Diαbolic, initiated in 1095 under DOD oversight in partnership with Haydn Pharmaceutical. The project sought to create a humanoid weapon by resurrecting the extinct Diablo Sarkaz, using a young subject named Ifrit. The experiment resulted in the Diαbolic Crisis, beginning when Ifrit lost control of her Originium Arts, destroying Lab-1 and killing its director, Haydn Ramt. Despite the disaster, Rhine Lab continued the project covertly under Professor Ahrens Parvis, disguising it as therapeutic treatment for Ifrit’s Oripathy. This ultimately failed, nearly resulting in further destruction and Ifrit’s death. The organization subsequently concealed the full truth of the incident, publicly attributing it to an experimental accident. These events triggered internal dissent, leading key figures such as Saria and Dr. Olivia Silence to leave the organization in practice—though their resignations were never formally recognized—while Rhine Lab continued to monitor them and Ifrit to protect its interests. Rhine Lab maintains a complex relationship with Rhodes Island, collaborating on Oripathy research while acknowledging Rhodes Island’s superior expertise in treatment. Several Rhine Lab members, including Magallan, Mayer, and Muelsyse, actively assist Rhodes Island, while others such as Silence and Ptilopsis remain only nominally affiliated after distancing themselves from the organization. At the same time, Rhine Lab continues to pursue independent and classified research agendas. In 1099, Rhine Lab launched Project Horizon Arc in collaboration with the DOD, initially conceived as a superweapon program to construct Arc-01. However, Kristen Wright repurposed the project to fulfill her ultimate goal of breaking through the Starpod—the artificial “sky” enclosing Terra. The project succeeded, creating a phenomenon later known as the “Trimount Arc” and marking the first successful attempt by the current civilization to reach beyond the Starpod, effectively initiating Terra’s modern era of space exploration. However, Kristen herself was lost during the event and declared missing, after which Saria assumed leadership of Rhine Lab as its new director. The organization’s personnel includes its founders Kristen Wright and Saria, alongside numerous directors, researchers, and staff such as Dorothy, Muelsyse, Ahrens Parvis, Ferdinand Clooney, and others, with many roles undergoing changes following major incidents like the Site 359 event and Project Horizon Arc. Several members have died, disappeared, or retired due to the risks associated with Rhine Lab’s work, while others continue to operate within or alongside the organization under shifting allegiances and oversight structures, including the emergence of bodies like the Trimounts Science Ethics Association. Overall, Rhine Lab is a paradoxical institution that embodies both the pinnacle of scientific innovation and the خطر of unchecked ambition. While driving technological progress and pioneering humanity’s expansion beyond Terra, it simultaneously engages in morally dubious practices, secret military collaborations, and human experimentation, positioning itself as both a visionary force and a deeply controversial entity within Terra’s scientific and political landscape.

The Church of the Deep is a dangerous pseudo-religious cult operating primarily across Aegir and Iberia, serving as a major antagonistic faction in multiple Arknights storylines. It is fundamentally devoted to fulfilling the will of the Seaborn, monstrous oceanic entities they worship as gods. While nominally led by Seaborn “Heralds” such as The First To Talk—humanoid extensions of the Seaborn hive mind—the true operational control lies with a network of bishops who act as the cult’s de facto leaders. These bishops are deeply embedded across society, with some even infiltrating high-ranking positions within Aegir’s government, making the organization extremely difficult to detect and dismantle.
The Church is particularly insidious due to its use of deception and assimilation. It disguises its teachings by incorporating elements of the Lateran religion, allowing it to blend in and attract unsuspecting followers. Once recruited, individuals are gradually indoctrinated and often physically altered through exposure to Seaborn cells—commonly administered through contaminated food—resulting in loss of individuality and transformation into near-mindless extensions of the Seaborn hive consciousness. This process reflects the Seaborn’s broader goal of assimilating all life into a unified oceanic existence.
Structurally, the Church is organized hierarchically beneath the Heralds, with approximately twenty bishops operating covertly across the land. These bishops oversee local operations, experimentation, and the spread of Seaborn influence. Their methods include biological manipulation, psychological indoctrination, and infiltration of political and religious institutions.
Following the Abyssal Hunters’ assault on Ishar-mla, one of the Seaborn’s most powerful entities, the Church has actively targeted the Hunters. They have kidnapped surviving members such as Laurentina and subjected them to inhumane experimentation. Additionally, they seek to capture Skadi, who dealt the decisive blow to Ishar-mla, intending to use her to resurrect the entity. Their ultimate objective is to trigger a second “Profound Silence,” a catastrophic event that would allow the Seaborn to reclaim dominance over Terra.
Notable members of the Church include Amaia, Aulus, Cicero, Quintus, and The First To Talk, along with figures like Marin, an Aegirian bishop who operated covertly before being captured and executed by the Inquisition. Overall, the Church of the Deep represents a highly organized, covert, and existential threat, combining religious fanaticism, biological horror, and political infiltration in pursuit of total assimilation under the Seaborn.

The Abyssal Hunters are an elite and secretive organization of super soldiers created by Aegir to combat the Seaborn and prevent their expansion onto land. Composed of Aegir–Seaborn hybrids, they were engineered through advanced and highly selective procedures that drew candidates from across Aegir’s population regardless of status. Their purpose is singular and absolute: to act as humanity’s frontline defense against the existential threat posed by the Seaborn.
These Hunters possess extraordinary physical capabilities far beyond those of normal Terrans, including immense strength, speed, endurance, and resilience. Their bodies and minds are specifically engineered to endure the overwhelming biological and psychological pressure exerted by the Seaborn. Despite access to advanced technology, Abyssal Hunters rely primarily on melee weaponry, intentionally avoiding complex tools to prevent the Seaborn from adapting and evolving countermeasures against them.
However, their hybrid nature comes with a critical flaw. The Seaborn blood within them can gradually overtake their Aegir side, leading to a horrifying transformation into the very monsters they were created to destroy. This degeneration manifests through symptoms such as loss of awareness, diminished consciousness, and the emergence of Seaborn physical traits like scales. This risk is exemplified in cases like Skadi the Corrupting Heart, demonstrating the ever-present danger of losing themselves.
Physically, most Abyssal Hunters share distinct traits such as white hair and red eyes, indicating a successful fusion with Seaborn biology. Exceptions exist, such as Andreana, who lacks these features and is considered a flawed or incomplete creation—possibly the result of experimentation by the Church of the Deep rather than Aegir itself. Additionally, due to their hybridization, Abyssal Hunters are entirely incapable of using Originium Arts, distinguishing them further from typical Aegir individuals.
Historically, the Abyssal Hunters played a central role in Aegir’s massive military campaign against the Seaborn Leviathans, particularly targeting Ishar-mla, the Firstborn. Although the campaign succeeded in dealing significant damage, it came at an enormous cost: the near-total destruction of the Abyssal Hunters as a force. The few survivors retreated to land, where they now live in secrecy, concealing their identities while continuing their mission.
In the present day, the remaining Hunters—including leaders like Gladiia (Second Company) and Ulpianus (Third Company), as well as members such as Skadi, Specter, Specter the Unchained, and Andreana—operate under constant threat. The Church of the Deep actively hunts them, seeking to capture and exploit them for experimentation or to further the Seaborn’s agenda.
Despite their dwindling numbers, the Abyssal Hunters remain one of the most powerful and भय-inducing forces on Terra. They embody both humanity’s greatest weapon against the Seaborn and a tragic reminder of the cost of survival, standing on the thin line between protector and monster.

Sui is an ancient Yanese Feranmut and a unique “faction” within Terra, not in the conventional organizational sense but as a fragmented divine entity whose avatars—known as the Twelve Sui siblings—are treated in-game as affiliated units under a shared origin. Originally a singular, immensely powerful being, Sui is currently in an active yet fragmented state, having been split into twelve independent manifestations following events in antiquity. Though categorized mechanically as a faction, Sui represents a mythological and historical force deeply intertwined with Yan’s past, its lingering influence continuing to shape political, religious, and existential dynamics in the present.
In ancient times, Sui was among the Feranmuts—god-like entities who ruled over Yan—and held dominion among His kind. During the Great Hunt, a massive conflict waged thousands of years ago between mortals and these “deities,” Sui initially stood among His fellow Feranmuts but ultimately betrayed them mid-conflict. Motivated by personal ambition, He sought to eliminate both His kin and rivals in order to become the sole god of Yan and impose upon humanity His vision of “true war.” This betrayal included siding with the Yanese Emperor, whom He had previously mocked, in an attempt to secure ultimate supremacy. However, His actions led to severe consequences: He was cursed by His fellow Feranmuts, gravely injured, and subsequently punished by the True Lung—a higher authority within Yan—once His intentions were revealed. Despite His betrayal aiding in the Emperor’s victory, Sui was ultimately subjugated rather than rewarded.
Under imperial command following the war, Sui was forced to shatter Himself into twelve fragments, each becoming an individual avatar embodying different aspects of His power and identity. These fragments, later known as the Twelve Sui siblings, developed independently over time, each forming distinct personalities, domains, and abilities. Initially lacking awareness of their hierarchy or origin, the siblings gradually developed self-identity through introspection, beginning with the fundamental question of “Who am I?” This process resulted in diverse and often conflicting individualities. However, an inherent condition persists: should the fragments ever reunite, their individuality would be erased as they recombine into the original Sui, a fate some accept passively while others actively resist.
Despite His defeat and fragmentation, Sui’s shadow continues to loom over Yan. The humiliation of His subjugation has fostered a lingering desire for vengeance against the empire, and efforts to restore Him have persisted through various pro-Feranmut factions. Some of His fragments actively collaborate with institutions such as the Ministry of Rites and the Shanhaizhong, working toward reunification and the revival of Sui and potentially other ancient deities, including the so-called “Second Brother.” These efforts are countered by the Sui Regulator, a dedicated institution established to monitor and suppress threats related to Sui’s resurgence. As geopolitical tensions across Terra escalate—including conflicts in Victoria and upheavals in Leithanien—the Grand Tutor of Yan has covertly escalated countermeasures, ordering the Candleholders to neutralize the fragments through imprisonment or execution if necessary, aiming to eliminate the threat of Sui’s return and allow Yan to focus on other existential dangers such as the Collapsals and the Seaborn. Meanwhile, pro-Feranmut factions have accelerated their plans in response, intensifying the ongoing struggle.
The Twelve Sui siblings each represent distinct domains and abilities, reflecting fragments of the original entity’s power. These include Chongyue (martial arts), Wang (warfare and ceramics), Ling (poetry), Jun (law), Jie (calligraphy, deceased), Shu (agriculture), Ji (textiles and fashion), Yi (architecture), Nian (blacksmithing), Fang (medicine), Dusk (painting), and Yu (culinary arts). Although ranked by age, their order of sentience and manifestation varies, further emphasizing their individuality despite shared origin. Their divergent perspectives on reunification—ranging from acceptance to defiance—highlight the central tension between identity and destiny that defines Sui’s fragmented existence.
Overall, Sui is not merely a historical figure but an enduring and destabilizing presence within Terra, embodying the consequences of divine ambition, betrayal, and enforced fragmentation. As both a latent existential threat and a source of mythological significance, Sui’s continued influence manifests through political intrigue, ideological conflict, and the actions of His fragments, making Him a pivotal force in Yan’s past, present, and uncertain future.

Blacksteel Worldwide (BSW), commonly referred to as Blacksteel (BS), is a Columbian private military company and contractor that operates across Terra as a transnational security organization, nominally independent but in practice closely tied to the Federal Government of Columbia. Officially headquartered at Fort Barron, a state-of-the-art mobile landship that enables rapid deployment, Blacksteel provides a wide spectrum of services ranging from personal protection and escort duties to full-scale military operations and disaster response, often acting in alignment with Columbian national interests. Its motto, “War Never Changes, Warfare Does,” reflects its emphasis on modernizing combat practices, both technologically and strategically, distinguishing it from conventional mercenary groups. Founded by the legendary Sankta veteran “‘Clip’ Cliff” Rupert following Columbia’s war of independence from Victoria, Blacksteel was initially conceived as a continuation of his military legacy within the newly formed nation. For much of its early existence, it functioned effectively as a state-affiliated mercenary force, directly serving the Federal Government and associated corporate entities. However, after the Barron Mine Incident, Blacksteel underwent structural reform, transitioning from a state-owned enterprise into a formally private company while simultaneously expanding its operations and partnerships across Terra, which solidified its reputation as a global security provider. Despite this nominal independence, its ties to the Columbian government remain deeply entrenched, with the state continuing to utilize Blacksteel as both anداة of domestic enforcement and an extension of its geopolitical ambitions abroad, particularly in regions such as Victoria and Bolívar, where Blacksteel has been repeatedly deployed in conflicts tied to Columbian expansionism as well as its own stated objective of mitigating large-scale violence. Operationally, Blacksteel distinguishes itself through access to advanced weaponry and military technology, including cutting-edge firearms typically restricted to Laterano, made possible by the founder’s Sankta heritage and technological transfer. Its personnel are equipped with modernized gear and trained in contemporary combat doctrine, reinforcing its identity as a highly professionalized force. Beyond combat, Blacksteel undertakes morally ambiguous assignments, including operations that may involve concealing or sanitizing illicit or controversial activities on behalf of clients, highlighting its pragmatic and profit-driven nature. The organization accepts contracts from governments, corporations, and other legal entities, fully committing to their objectives regardless of ethical implications. Blacksteel also maintains specialized capabilities for handling hazardous and biological threats, particularly Oripathy. Its Biochemical Protection Response Staff (BPRS) oversees biohazard containment, ensures the safety of internal biological operations, and manages infection-related incidents within the company. However, its internal policies toward Infected personnel reveal systemic inequality and utilitarian exploitation. The company enforces strict regulations: Infected employees are generally prohibited from participating in team operations with non-Infected unless under specific conditions; those with mild infections are restricted to solo assignments; and individuals with severe infections are immediately terminated, albeit with severance pay. While Blacksteel provides medical treatment to Infected personnel still deemed operational, these policies are widely criticized as exploitative, as they prioritize extracting labor value while discarding individuals once they become liabilities, with compensation insufficient to cover the long-term costs of Oripathy treatment. These practices have contributed to growing tensions between Infected and non-Infected members within the organization. In 1095, following the Ironforge leakage incident—later revealed to be linked to a failed secret weapon program—Blacksteel entered a cooperative arrangement with Rhodes Island, exchanging security and escort services for medical treatment of infected personnel such as Franka. This partnership exists alongside directives from the Columbian government instructing Blacksteel to ignore certain underlying causes of the incident, further illustrating the company’s entanglement in state secrecy and ethically questionable operations. Blacksteel’s personnel includes its founder and leader “‘Clip’ Cliff” Rupert, alongside notable members such as Franka, Liskarm, Jessica, Vanilla, and others, each contributing to its operational capabilities. Internal dynamics reflect both loyalty and dissent: Jessica distanced herself from the company due to disagreement with its harsh policies, joining a pioneer team as a form of punitive reassignment while retaining indirect ties, whereas Liskarm has expressed intentions to eventually leave and establish her own security enterprise. Additional figures include trainers, contractors, and former members whose experiences illustrate the risks inherent in Blacksteel’s line of work, including fatalities during missions and post-service tragedies. Overall, Blacksteel Worldwide is a highly capable yet ethically complex organization that blends corporate military efficiency with state-aligned objectives. While presenting itself as a professional security provider committed to adapting warfare to modern realities, it remains deeply intertwined with Columbian political and military agendas, engages in morally ambiguous operations, and perpetuates controversial practices regarding its treatment of Infected personnel, embodying both the القوة and contradictions of Terra’s privatized warfare industry.

Glasgow is a faction in Terra that outwardly presents itself as a street gang but in reality functions as the personal royal guard of the exiled Victorian Aslan princess, HRH Alexandrina of Victoria—better known as Siege—making it a covert force operating under the guise of criminality. Officially categorized as a gang, Glasgow is in fact a loyalist organization dedicated to protecting Alexandrina and ultimately restoring her to the Victorian throne, blending informal street-level operations with a deeper political purpose. It is currently active, allied with Rhodes Island and Eartha, and opposed by forces such as Dublinn and the Military Commission of Kazdel. While it once operated out of the Norport Borough in Londinium, Victoria, it is now based aboard the Rhodes Island landship, where it serves as an assault unit. Originally, Glasgow was a conventional street gang formed in Londinium’s impoverished Norport Borough, one of the capital’s slum districts. It was led collectively by figures including Hannah “Indra” Jackson, Kate “Morgan” Morrigan, and Baird, and rose to prominence as one of the strongest gangs in the area, effectively controlling the district through strength and cohesion. Its transformation began when Alexandrina, living in exile, challenged Indra and defeated her, subsequently assuming leadership of the gang. Following this decisive event, Glasgow submitted to her authority, with Indra transitioning into the role of second-in-command. Over time, the group evolved from a typical gang into a tightly bonded cadre personally devoted to Alexandrina, a shift further reinforced by the arrival of key figures such as Dagda, the last surviving Tower Knightess, which strengthened its connection to the remnants of Victorian royal and knightly traditions. In 1094, during the Kazdelian occupation of Londinium led by Theresis and his forces, Glasgow was forced to flee Victoria due to the collapse of local resistance and the broader political upheaval. Seeking refuge, they joined Rhodes Island, where they integrated into its structure and began contributing as a combat unit, leveraging their experience in urban warfare and close-quarters combat. Despite their displacement, Glasgow retains a long-term objective of returning to Victoria to reclaim Alexandrina’s rightful throne, a goal complicated by numerous adversaries including Dublinn, a Taran nationalist militant organization, and various Victorian Grand Dukes vying for power amid the kingdom’s political instability. These challenges underscore the scale of opposition they face, ranging from insurgent movements to entrenched aristocratic factions. Glasgow’s membership includes both Operators and affiliated individuals, centered around Alexandrina (Siege) as leader, with Indra as her second-in-command. Other notable members include Morgan, Dagda, and Daphne, alongside non-operator associates such as Baird, Cador, and Gawain, the Beast Lord who serves as Alexandrina’s mentor and accompanied her into Glasgow. The group’s composition reflects its dual identity as both a former gang and a royalist faction, combining street fighters with individuals tied to nobility and knightly orders. However, internal and external events have led to changes in its roster: Daphne, the daughter of the Duke of Windermere assigned to oversee Alexandrina, eventually returned to her family following the Norport hostage incident; Baird was accidentally killed by a civilian during the same incident; and Cador departed after an ideological split with the group. Additionally, Dagda’s presence carries historical significance, as the Tower Knights she represents were annihilated during Theresis’ takeover of Londinium, reportedly due to aristocratic betrayal. Overall, Glasgow represents a unique fusion of street-level survivalism and royalist loyalty, evolving from a dominant slum gang into a disciplined unit bound by personal allegiance to Alexandrina and a shared ideal of political restoration. Operating within Rhodes Island while maintaining its independent identity, Glasgow embodies both the resilience of displaced factions and the enduring struggle over Victoria’s throne, navigating a complex landscape of exile, loyalty, and impending conflict.

Karlan Trade Co., Ltd. (K.T.), also known as Karlan Commercial, is the national trading company of Kjerag, founded and led by Enciodes SilverAsh, the current patriarch of the Silverash family, and named after the sacred Mount Karlan, a central religious and cultural symbol of the nation. Functioning as both an economic institution and a political instrument, Karlan Trade serves as Kjerag’s primary—and effectively sole—gateway to the outside world, facilitating foreign trade, technological exchange, and broader modernization efforts in a historically isolationist society. Headquartered in Kjerag, the company operates at the intersection of commerce, governance, and ideological reform, making it a powerful and controversial entity within the country’s sociopolitical structure.
The company was established in 1090 following Enciodes’ return to Kjerag after more than two decades abroad in Victoria, during which he developed the vision and capability to modernize his homeland. With the strategic support of Ratatos, matriarch of the Browntails, Enciodes successfully persuaded the Great Elder to open Kjerag to external engagement through the establishment of Karlan Trade. As part of a broader reform agenda, the company was designed not only to stimulate economic growth and introduce advanced technology, but also to serve as a political lever to restore the Silverash family’s standing within the ruling Tri-Clan Council. By enabling the conservative Paleroches and Browntails to participate in and benefit from its commercial activities, Karlan Trade functioned as a bargaining tool that rebalanced internal power dynamics while advancing Enciodes’ modernization goals.
Despite the tangible benefits brought by increased trade and development, Karlan Trade has been a source of significant internal conflict, particularly with conservative factions such as the Paleroches. Criticism has centered on the company’s aggressive expansion, including the construction of factories under the supervision of its second-in-command, Gnosis Edelweiss, which allegedly encroached upon territories traditionally controlled by ruling families. Tensions escalated further due to Karlan Trade’s mining operations and railroad construction near the sacred Mount Karlan, actions perceived as violations of religious and cultural sanctity. In response, conservative factions launched investigations, leading to direct confrontation with Gnosis. Although Enciodes publicly dismissed Gnosis in an attempt to defuse the situation, this action did not satisfy his opponents, who demanded that he relinquish administrative control over the contested industrial assets.
Enciodes ultimately resolved the crisis through a calculated political maneuver by transferring the administrative rights of Karlan Trade’s factories and mines to the Karlan Saintess, a figure recognized by Kjeragian sacred doctrine as the rightful authority over such matters. This decision was particularly complex given that the current Saintess, Enya Silverash (also known as Pramanix), is Enciodes’ estranged sister, intertwining familial, religious, and political dimensions. By invoking religious legitimacy, Enciodes successfully neutralized conservative opposition while maintaining the broader structure and influence of Karlan Trade, effectively consolidating reform under a framework acceptable to traditionalist factions.
Karlan Trade maintains an ongoing but cautious relationship with Rhodes Island. While the two organizations cooperate and share mutual interests, Rhodes Island remains wary of Karlan Trade’s political entanglements and strategic motivations, particularly given its role in Kjerag’s internal power struggles. This tension has manifested in disagreements during events such as the Snowcap Incident, though collaboration has continued pragmatically.
The organization’s members include key figures from the Silverash sphere and affiliated individuals, such as Enciodes (SilverAsh) himself, alongside operators like Gnosis, Courier, Matterhorn, Cliffheart, Pramanix, and others. However, membership classifications can be fluid: Gnosis, despite being nominally dismissed during internal conflict, effectively retains his role and influence; Aurora, while not formally a member, was sponsored by Enciodes for education in Columbia and later sought treatment at Rhodes Island; and Kjera, a manifestation of the deity Kjeragandr, covertly operates within Rhodes Island under the guise of serving Enya. Additional figures such as Monch are implied to have future ties to the company.
Overall, Karlan Trade represents a central mechanism of Kjerag’s transformation, embodying both the promise and tension of modernization within a traditional society. Through its economic activities, political maneuvering, and symbolic connection to sacred authority, it operates as a powerful agent of change, balancing innovation against deeply rooted cultural and religious structures while maintaining complex external relationships and internal contradictions.

Dublinn is a violent non-state actor and Taran nationalist movement operating primarily in southern Victoria, particularly within the former Taran regions historically subjugated by the empire. Led by Eblana Dublinn, the organization seeks to dismantle Victorian authority and restore an independent Taran monarchy rooted in Draco heritage. While its name originates from the ancient Draco royal house of Dublinn, the movement itself has evolved far beyond a traditional royalist faction into a broader revolutionary force representing anti-imperial resistance, cultural revival, and political upheaval.
Founded around the year 1091, Dublinn began as a covert insurgent group employing sabotage, infiltration, and targeted destabilization against Victorian control in the south. Its early operations focused on weakening administrative structures, disrupting logistics, and undermining the legitimacy of imperial rule. However, as Victoria’s internal stability deteriorated—particularly following the collapse of the Aslan monarchy and the subsequent power vacuum—Dublinn rapidly expanded into a large-scale paramilitary organization. It transitioned from secrecy into open rebellion, positioning itself as both a symbol of resistance for the Taran people and a viable alternative to the fractured Victorian system.
Although commonly labeled as a rebel or terrorist organization, Dublinn is in reality a highly disciplined and structured force. It possesses a well-developed military hierarchy composed of elite commanders, specialized units, and coordinated operational branches. Its forces are heavily armed with advanced weaponry sourced from multiple foreign powers, including Victoria itself as well as Columbia and Kazimierz, reflecting both opportunistic acquisition and possible external support networks. Their combat doctrine blends conventional warfare with guerrilla tactics, covert operations, assassination, and psychological warfare, allowing them to operate effectively against both military and civilian targets. This adaptability and elusiveness have earned them the nickname “spectre force,” highlighting their ability to strike unpredictably and disappear without a trace.
In addition to modern tactics, Dublinn also draws ideological and strategic inspiration from older military traditions, including those associated with the Gauls and Minoans, reinforcing its identity as both a revolutionary and culturally rooted movement. This combination of historical symbolism and modern warfare enhances its appeal among Tarans and disillusioned Victorians alike.
Dublinn’s strength is further amplified by key alliances and external backing. One of its most significant supporters is the Duke of Wellington, a Victorian noble of Taran descent who provides both political legitimacy and military resources. The group has also demonstrated a willingness to form temporary alliances with external powers such as the Military Commission of Kazdel, though these relationships are purely strategic and driven by mutual interests rather than ideological alignment.
Despite its deep involvement in Victoria’s ongoing succession crisis and internal conflicts, Dublinn notably does not seek to claim the Victorian throne or directly rule the empire. Instead, its primary objective is the liberation and restoration of Taran identity, sovereignty, and cultural heritage. This focus distinguishes it from other factions competing for power within Victoria, although its ultimate long-term goals—particularly regarding governance after liberation—remain ambiguous and potentially unstable.
Internally, Dublinn is not without flaws. While it maintains a strong command structure, it has experienced internal instability, including betrayal, factionalism, and the downfall of several commanders notorious for excessive brutality. These incidents highlight the tensions between ideological goals and the realities of maintaining control within a militant revolutionary movement.
Overall, Dublinn stands as one of the most significant destabilizing forces within Victoria and across Terra. It embodies a complex fusion of nationalism, insurgency, historical grievance, and political opportunism. By capitalizing on imperial decline and social unrest, Dublinn has transformed from a regional rebel group into a major geopolitical actor—one capable of reshaping the balance of power while raising fundamental questions about identity, sovereignty, and the cost of revolution.

The Rhodes Island Elite Operators, commonly referred to as Elite Ops, are a specialized branch within Rhodes Island’s paramilitary force, functioning as its highest-tier combat unit composed of exceptionally skilled and experienced field operatives. As an elite guard and special forces division, they are deployed only under direct authorization from Rhodes Island’s leadership, reflecting both their strategic importance and the risks associated with their missions. Many Elite Ops are veterans not only of Rhodes Island itself but also of its predecessor organization, Babel, carrying forward extensive combat experience and institutional legacy. Elite Ops are distinguished by their extraordinary capabilities, which typically include immense physical strength, mastery of unique or highly advanced Originium Arts, and exceptional tactical proficiency. Individually, many are capable of overwhelming entire squads of trained enemies, making them force multipliers in high-risk operations. Their rarity and effectiveness mean they are reserved for critical missions where standard operators would be insufficient. Beyond raw power, they often possess specialized skills—ranging from combat and engineering to communications and reconnaissance—that make them indispensable in complex and dynamic battlefields. The structure of the Elite Ops is organized into multiple squads, each centered around key figures or operational roles. Among the known members are prominent Operators such as Blaze, Pith, Rosmontis, Sharp, Stormeye, Touch, and Logos, alongside notable non-playable members including Ace, Mechanist, Misery, Outcast, Scout, and Mantra. Additional distinguished members include Raidian, known for her warm, maternal demeanor and her vital role in maintaining communications during the Chernobog Crisis through Arts that likely manipulate signal transmission or exhibit telepathic properties, and Whitesmith, renowned for her extreme speed and contributions to material engineering within the Rhodes Island landship. The Elite Ops are further divided into several squads: Ace’s squad, once led by the veteran Ace, consisted of numerous operators such as Bad Tom, Bronze Nose, Caries, Confidenty, Green Pea, Hard Brick, Lunar Silver, Kerg, Sandwash, Seventeen, Violet Flame, and WoodsPoon. Many of these members perished during the Chernobog incident, highlighting the high casualty rates associated with their dangerous assignments. Raidian’s squad included members such as Liqusa, though details about this unit remain limited compared to others. Rosmontis’ squad includes operators like Lavaca and Qing, as well as Bluishsilver (real name Mabel Grimm), an Elite Op who died during the Chernobog–Lungmen crisis after being ambushed by Ursus forces disguised as Reunion troops. Her earlier life included an encounter with Iris, to whom she entrusted a personal memento. Scout’s squad, led by Scout, comprised numerous members including Leafa, Macron, Mary, Milim, Mimi, Mudflower, Pter, Scorpion, Slanna, Slink, Thumbtack, and Tipsy, many of whom are also deceased, further emphasizing the lethal nature of Elite Ops missions. The high mortality rate among Elite Operators underscores the extreme danger and responsibility placed upon them. They are frequently deployed in the most perilous situations—frontline assaults, critical rescues, and operations against overwhelming or unconventional threats—where their skills are pushed to the limit. Their service often comes at great personal cost, with many sacrificing their lives in the line of duty. Overall, the Elite Ops represent the pinnacle of Rhodes Island’s military capability: a small, highly specialized force defined by unparalleled skill, experience, and sacrifice. They embody both the strength and the burden of Rhodes Island’s mission, serving as its ultimate instrument in confronting the most dangerous threats across Terra while carrying the legacy of Babel and the harsh realities of constant conflict.

The Lungmen Guard Department (L.G.D.) is the primary law enforcement and military-security organization of Lungmen, functioning as a gendarmerie responsible for maintaining public order, enforcing laws, and safeguarding the city’s stability. Operating under the motto “Obedience, Diligence, and Perseverance,” the L.G.D. combines policing duties with armed force capabilities, making it both a civil authority and a شبه-military institution. While it is formally structured as a security agency, it also serves as a significant political instrument within Lungmen’s governance, historically controlled and influenced by Wei Yenwu, who acted as its de facto leader, alongside official leadership figures such as Beatrix Schwire and former superintendent Ch’en Hui-chieh. The L.G.D. was established over twenty years ago by Wei Yenwu in response to the need to restore order following a period of instability and destruction caused by Ursus infiltrators led by the Duke of Kashchey. Its founding purpose was to cleanse and stabilize Lungmen, particularly targeting crime and disorder in the aftermath of this crisis. From its inception, the organization has been shaped by strict recruitment standards and the incorporation of traditional Yanese principles, which contribute to its disciplined structure, operational effectiveness, and enduring reputation for strength and justice. As a result, the L.G.D. commands both respect and fear from the general population as well as from Lungmen’s criminal underworld, maintaining authority through a combination of institutional legitimacy and coercive capability. Beyond its public role, the L.G.D. operates as a political tool for Wei Yenwu, enabling him to exert control over Lungmen’s internal affairs and power dynamics. This dual function blurs the line between governance and enforcement, as the organization not only upholds the law but also reinforces the ruling authority’s influence. Its internal culture emphasizes hierarchy, discipline, and adherence to its founding virtues, ensuring cohesion and reliability across its ranks. Prior to its formal establishment, precursor police units that would later form the core of the L.G.D. carried out a highly significant operation: the rescue of a young Beatrix Schwire, who had been kidnapped by one of Wei Yenwu’s political adversaries in an attempt to publicly humiliate him. The successful rescue, aided by Adams Schwire, culminated in the immediate execution of the perpetrator and became a widely remembered event in Lungmen’s history, immortalized in popular media such as tabloids and novels. This incident not only cemented the reputation of these early forces but also contributed to the institutional identity of the L.G.D. Out of this legacy emerged the Special Inspection Unit, an elite subdivision composed of the organization’s most capable officers and tasked with handling high-risk and sensitive missions. This unit is led by the Superintendent of the L.G.D., a position with a two-year term that represents the highest level of operational command within the department. Leadership transitions within this role reflect broader political shifts, such as the promotion of Beatrix Schwire to Superintendent, succeeding Wei Yenwu as he prepared to depart Lungmen for the Yanese capital in 1099. The L.G.D.’s personnel includes notable figures such as Ch’en Hui-chieh, Hoshiguma, and Swire, each contributing to its operational strength and reputation. Although Ch’en formally left the L.G.D. during the events of Episode 07 and later joined Rhodes Island, she retains an affiliation with the department, reflecting ongoing ties between individuals and the institution. Conversely, internal fractures are also evident: Nine, a former member, defected to Reunion, illustrating ideological divergence within the ranks, while Phal served as an informant prior to his death, highlighting the presence of covert intelligence activities within the organization. Overall, the Lungmen Guard Department is a powerful and multifaceted institution that embodies both law enforcement and سیاسی authority within Lungmen. Defined by its disciplined structure, historical legacy, and dual role as protector and instrument of governance, it maintains order through a balance of tradition, القوة, and strategic influence, standing as a central pillar of Lungmen’s stability while also reflecting the پیچیدہ interplay between justice and political control.

The Ursus Student Self-Governing Group (U.S.S.G.), also known as the Ursus Student Self-Government Group, is a small Terran organization composed of five Ursus students who survived the catastrophic uprising and destruction of Chernobog. Originally based in Peterheim Middle School within the city, the group now operates from the Rhodes Island landship, where its members work as Operators in exchange for medical treatment and psychological care. While formally led by Rosa (Natalya) as its de jure figurehead, actual leadership rests with Zima (Sonya), who acts as the group’s de facto leader. Though technically a student union, the U.S.S.G. is less an institutional body and more a tightly bonded survivor group forged through extreme trauma, united by shared experiences and a commitment to remain together.
The origins of the U.S.S.G. lie in the chaos of the Chernobog uprising, during which a number of students were sheltered within Peterheim Middle School under the protection of Patriot, a leader within Reunion who sought to shield them from the violence outside. The student body consisted of both commoners and aristocrats, and long-standing social tensions between these classes quickly intensified under confinement. These divisions were exacerbated when Mephisto took control of the situation, ordering the school to be locked down and effectively trapping the students inside, turning their internal strife into a form of cruel entertainment.
As resources dwindled and conditions worsened, the students formed factions along class lines in order to survive, but these groups only deepened existing hostilities. Amid this instability, Anna Morozova (Istina) proposed that Sonya (Zima) assume leadership to impose order. Although initially met with resistance, Sonya asserted control through violence, killing dissenters to stabilize the situation. Under Istina’s guidance, the Ursus Student Self-Governing Group was formally established as an attempt to unify the surviving students and maintain structure.
However, this fragile order collapsed when Sonya accidentally set fire to the school’s storehouse while attempting to reclaim food taken by aristocratic students, destroying the last remaining supply of rations. This disaster triggered open conflict between the factions, leading to widespread violence and death within the school. By the end of the incident, only a handful of students remained alive. Sonya managed to rescue Natalya (Rosa), and together with Istina, Gummy, and Leto, they became the surviving core of the U.S.S.G.
Following the Catastrophe that devastated Chernobog, the survivors fled Peterheim and hid in relatively safe areas until they were eventually discovered and rescued by Rhodes Island. There, they received medical attention and psychological counseling for the severe trauma they had endured. Rhodes Island offered to reintegrate them into formal education systems, but the group declined, instead receiving alternative, unaccredited education while remaining together under Rhodes Island’s care. Despite the passage of time and opportunities to separate, the members have chosen to remain united, rejecting the idea of disbandment even when Zima herself considered it, reaffirming their bond as a surrogate family.
Each member of the U.S.S.G. bears deep psychological scars from their experiences. Gummy suffers from extreme hunger trauma, leading to compulsive biting behavior and physical limitations, as well as nyctophobia stemming from prolonged exposure to darkness. Istina is burdened by survivor’s guilt, particularly over the death of her friend Vika, whom she failed to save, and has developed acrophobia as a result. Zima is haunted by nightmares, guilt over the lives she took to maintain order, and the consequences of her actions, including hallucinations of a critical doppelganger. Rosa struggles with intense guilt and self-loathing due to her coerced complicity in the aristocrats’ exploitation of commoners, leading to depression and suicidal ideation. Leto appears outwardly unaffected but harbors unknown emotional burdens, alongside personal hardships such as growing up without a father, which contributed to her resilience and hardened personality.
The group’s membership consists of Zima, Istina (its founder), Rosa (its figurehead), Gummy, and Leto, with the deceased Vika remembered as a significant figure in their past. Notably, Leto is the only member not originally from Ursus or Chernobog, instead hailing from Kjerag and belonging to the Paleroche bloodline, one of its ruling families.
Overall, the Ursus Student Self-Governing Group is defined not by formal structure or political purpose, but by survival, trauma, and solidarity. What began as a desperate attempt to impose order in a collapsing environment has evolved into a lasting bond between its members, who continue to support one another while rebuilding their lives under Rhodes Island’s protection.

The Kazimierz Armorless Union (A.U.), also known as the Kazimierz Scionless Alliance and colloquially referred to as the “Knight Assassins,” is a covert black-operations death squad operating within Kazimierz. Though officially a rogue organization, it functions as a shadow enforcement arm within Kazimierz’s power structure, specializing in the elimination of rogue, disobedient, or politically inconvenient knights through highly efficient and often brutal methods. It serves as a major antagonistic faction in the Kazimierz Major storyline and exists alongside other major factions such as the Kazimierz General Chamber of Commerce (K.G.C.C.) and the Adeptus Sprawiedliwi Kazimierz.
The Union’s origins trace back roughly fifty years to a rebellion against an abusive Kuranta knight who oppressed local servants and farmers. After numerous failed attempts to kill him—each resulting in executions—an archer succeeded where others could not, assassinating the tyrant with a black steel arrow and displaying his corpse publicly. This act became the ideological and symbolic foundation of the Armorless Union, establishing a tradition of assassination through archery. As a result, most members are highly skilled archers who favor ranged weaponry over melee combat.
Internally, the Union operates under a strict hierarchical structure composed of three leadership tiers. At the top are the three Darksteels, enigmatic figures who serve as the organization’s ultimate authorities and symbolic leaders. Beneath them are two Lazurites, elite operatives capable of eliminating virtually any target regardless of strength or circumstance. At the operational level is the Platinum, who leads individual missions and coordinates field activities. This rigid structure is reinforced by extreme secrecy and discipline—betrayal or exposure is punishable by death, even for high-ranking members. The execution of a former Platinum who attempted to defect for personal reasons demonstrates the severity of this rule.
To the general public, the Armorless Union is widely regarded as little more than an urban legend. This perception is intentionally cultivated to conceal its existence, with the Kazimierz authorities playing a role in maintaining this illusion. Despite their apparent autonomy, the Union is in reality heavily manipulated by the Kazimierz General Chamber of Commerce, which uses it as a tool to enforce its control over the Kazimierz Major and eliminate threats such as rebellious knights or Infected individuals. In exchange, the Union is bound by strict limitations imposed by the K.G.C.C., including restrictions on their movements and operations, which has led to growing dissatisfaction within its ranks.
During the 24th Kazimierz Major season, the Armorless Union attempted to break free from the K.G.C.C.’s control. They orchestrated a complex scheme involving the manipulation of the Pinus Sylvestris faction and the exploitation of the Kawalerielki Separation to assassinate key K.G.C.C. directors during a citywide blackout. Their plan extended further: they intended to frame the Infected population for the হত্য and use the resulting chaos as justification for a large-scale purge. However, this plan ultimately failed due to the intervention of multiple forces, including Rhodes Island, resistance from Infected knights, and the unexpected arrival of the Silverlance Pegasi.
Following this failure, the Armorless Union staged its own destruction to escape repercussions. In reality, it reorganized and continued operating in secrecy, even going so far as to establish a front as a commercial shampoo company while covertly re-aligning itself with the K.G.C.C. for profit and survival.
The Union’s operational forces include various specialized units such as crossbowmen, assassins, third squads, and cleanup squads, each with leadership variants for command roles. These units emphasize precision, stealth, and efficiency in eliminating targets.
Notable members of the Armorless Union include Platinum, who later defected to Rhodes Island after receiving death threats from within the organization, and operatives like Roy and Monique, who faked their deaths and escaped to Columbia under new identities after undergoing cosmetic surgery. Despite being enemies in the narrative, figures like Młynar Nearl and Toland Cash are associated with the Union in certain contexts, such as representation in specific mission systems.
Overall, the Kazimierz Armorless Union is a highly secretive, disciplined, and morally ambiguous organization that embodies the darker side of Kazimierz’s knightly culture—where honor is overshadowed by political control, corporate influence, and assassination carried out in the shadows.

Pinus Sylvestris Knightclub (P.S.), commonly referred to simply as Pinus Sylvestris, is an Infected knightclub originating from Kazimierz, formally part of the nation but disavowed by the Knights’ Association, and led by Sona, known as the “Flametail Knight.” It is a unique faction within Kazimierz’s knightly system, distinguished by its composition of exclusively Infected knights and its ideological rejection of the commercialization and exploitation that dominate modern Kazimierz tournaments such as the Major. Initially based in Kawalerielki, a marginalized district associated with poverty and segregation, the group now operates from the Rhodes Island landship following its departure from Kazimierz, while remaining active and committed to its broader mission. The organization was founded with both humble origins and a strong guiding ideal, symbolized by its name, which references a critically endangered pine species in southern Kazimierz that Sona admired for its resilience and strength. This symbolism reflects the knightclub’s goal of enduring adversity while protecting the vulnerable. Sona established Pinus Sylvestris after witnessing the brutal treatment of Infected knights under the “Infected Participation System,” which effectively turned them into expendable gladiators for entertainment and profit. In response, she began gathering like-minded individuals not through rhetoric or structured recruitment, but by directly aiding those in need—rescuing Infected individuals and impoverished residents from the ghettos of Kawalerielki and offering them unconditional protection from systemic persecution. At its core, the group seeks not power or fame, but the simple goal of allowing the Infected to live normal lives free from discrimination. As Pinus Sylvestris gained prominence during the 24th Major season, it attracted attention from the Kazimierz General Chamber of Commerce (K.G.C.C.), the powerful corporate entity that dominates the nation’s knight industry. The K.G.C.C., which had previously commercialized figures such as the Blood Knight, attempted to co-opt Pinus Sylvestris through sponsorship offers designed to turn them into a profitable spectacle. However, Sona and her group rejected these overtures outright, insisting on restoring the true honor and spirit of knighthood rather than submitting to corporate exploitation. While publicly dismissing them as naïve idealists, the K.G.C.C. privately viewed Pinus Sylvestris as a threat to its economic interests and influence, leading it to orchestrate efforts to eliminate the group. This included pressuring the Knights’ Association to consider disbanding them and deploying the Armorless Union, a covert assassination organization, to suppress them. Facing escalating persecution, Pinus Sylvestris formed an alliance with the Adeptus Sprawiedliwi, a political faction opposed to the K.G.C.C.’s dominance. Under this alliance, the Adeptus promised to work toward restoring legal recognition and rights for the Infected, while Pinus Sylvestris contributed to efforts aimed at revitalizing Kazimierz’s declining knightly traditions. Collaborating with figures such as the Grand Knight Ioleta Russell, the group participated in strategic operations including the planning of a second Kawalerielki Separation, intended to gather intelligence on the ghettos of Area 0 and challenge existing power structures. Although these efforts were disrupted by interference from the Armorless Union—whose actions during a citywide blackout included assassinations targeting K.G.C.C. leadership—the broader operation ultimately succeeded in advancing their goals. Following the conclusion of the Major season, Pinus Sylvestris left Kawalerielki under Sona’s leadership and joined Rhodes Island, expanding their mission from local protection to a broader struggle against systemic inequality across Kazimierz. Their current objectives include addressing the structural injustices that marginalize the Infected and dismantling entrenched systems of exploitation. In pursuit of these goals, they have also engaged with external figures such as the bounty hunter Toland Cash and Carol to plan a potential uprising against Kazimierz’s nobility, indicating a shift toward more radical and large-scale action. The knightclub’s membership includes Sona (Flametail) as leader, alongside members such as Ashlock, Fartooth, Wild Mane, and Justice Knight, forming a cohesive unit bound by shared hardship and ideals. Their ranks also include individuals whose personal histories reflect the broader cruelty faced by the Infected, such as Jamie, a former competitive knight whose life was devastated by Oripathy following an industrial accident, leading to family separation and eventual death after being pushed into violent retaliation during a match. These individual stories reinforce the organization’s foundational motivation and moral stance. Overall, Pinus Sylvestris represents a reformist and political force within Kazimierz, challenging both societal discrimination and institutional corruption. Combining the ideals of traditional knighthood with a commitment to protecting the marginalized, it stands in opposition to the commercialization and oppression embedded in Kazimierz’s systems, evolving from a grassroots organisation into an active participant in broader political and social conflict aimed at achieving equality for the Infected.

Lee’s Detective Agency is a Lungmen-based organization that outwardly presents itself as a private detective firm but in practice operates as a flexible “odd jobs” or handyman business, taking on a wide range of tasks that frequently extend beyond conventional investigative work. Led by the enigmatic Mr. Lee, the agency is structured less like a formal company and more like a close-knit surrogate family, with its members bound by personal loyalty and shared circumstances rather than strict professional hierarchy. Though nominally legitimate, the agency regularly operates within the gray zones of Lungmen’s underworld, leveraging connections and informal influence to navigate environments that lie outside standard legal oversight.
Publicly, the agency advertises and accepts detective-related commissions, but in reality it undertakes virtually any task requested by clients, provided it aligns with Mr. Lee’s judgment and capabilities. Its effectiveness in such diverse operations stems largely from Mr. Lee’s deep familiarity with Lungmen’s slums and underground networks, allowing the agency to function fluidly across both lawful and illicit spheres. This positioning places it in situations involving gang conflicts and other morally ambiguous activities, yet it consistently avoids serious repercussions due to Mr. Lee’s personal relationships with powerful figures such as Wei Yenwu and the Rat King. These connections grant the agency a degree of informal protection, enabling it to evade scrutiny from the Lungmen Guard Department (L.G.D.) in a manner comparable to organizations like Penguin Logistics, despite frequent involvement in activities that would otherwise attract law enforcement attention.
Internally, the agency operates as a familial unit, with Mr. Lee acting as both leader and guardian to its members. He took responsibility for Waai Fu, the daughter of his close friend Tianpei, after the latter departed on a solitary journey, effectively raising her as a step-uncle while simultaneously attempting to locate her missing father with assistance from another associate, Magistrate Liang Xun of Shangshu. In addition, Mr. Lee adopted Hung and Aak following a gang-related incident, incorporating them into the agency as part of his “family.” This dynamic underscores the organization’s dual identity as both a business and a personal refuge for individuals with troubled or uncertain pasts.
The agency’s headquarters in Lungmen also reflects its unconventional nature, originating from an unusual circumstance tied to Mr. Lee’s first client. Tasked with assessing the feng shui of an office owned by a struggling renovation company operator, Mr. Lee concluded that the location’s poor fortune contributed to the client’s lack of business. Advising relocation within a short timeframe, he instead negotiated to rent the property himself at half its original cost, thereby establishing the agency’s base of operations. This anecdote encapsulates both his opportunistic pragmatism and his tendency to solve problems in unorthodox ways.
Membership within the agency is minimal but tightly bonded, consisting of Mr. Lee as its head alongside core members Aak, Hung, and Waai Fu. Together, they form a small yet highly adaptable unit capable of handling a broad spectrum of assignments, from investigative work to physically demanding or ethically ambiguous tasks.
Overall, Lee’s Detective Agency is a hybrid entity that blends elements of private investigation, freelance labor, and underworld mediation, defined by its operational flexibility, personal loyalty structure, and reliance on informal networks of influence. Its existence highlights the porous boundary between legality and illegality within Lungmen, as well as the role of personal relationships in navigating that space, making it a small but uniquely resilient organization within Terra’s broader sociopolitical landscape.

Enabled · After character · Order 2000 · 100%

The Shanhaizhong is a Yan-based criminal syndicate and pseudo-religious cult that serves as the main antagonistic faction in Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow. Founded by Mo the Carpenter, it combines the structure of a triad with fanatic devotion to the Feranmuts—ancient, god-like beings—seeking to revive them and overthrow Yanese authority. Its ideology is encapsulated in its motto, which declares that all lands ultimately belong to their “master,” reflecting a belief in absolute divine dominion.
Though its exact origins are unclear, the Shanhaizhong traces its traditions back to a time before Yan’s Great Hunt a thousand years ago, when the Feranmuts were hunted and suppressed. Despite this, the group survived in secret as “Feranmut Followers,” maintaining its beliefs across generations. In the modern era, it recruits members from diverse backgrounds and conducts violent and destabilizing activities—such as inciting chaos in cities and villages—in the name of its gods.
Roughly twenty years ago during the Yumen crisis, Yanese authorities, particularly the Sui Regulator, dismantled much of the organization. However, remnants survived underground and later reorganized, even elevating surviving Feranmuts like Ya as nominal leaders who command through avatars and creatures like Di Beasts. Its strength has since been gradually rebuilding, especially as signs of the Feranmuts’ return grow stronger.
The Shanhaizhong operates through a mix of human agents and supernatural influence, including figures like the Grand Commandant, the Feranmut Ju, and Mo Yi, a descendant of its founder. Its forces range from standard operatives to elite members such as ringleaders and seers, often supported by Feranmut-related entities.
Overall, the Shanhaizhong is a persistent and dangerous organization that blends crime, cult worship, and insurgency, driven by long-standing devotion and the goal of restoring ancient powers to reshape Yan according to its beliefs.

The Crimson Troupe, also known as the Scarlet Troupe, is a secretive and highly dangerous assassin organization operating across Terra under the guise of a travelling theatrical company. Publicly, they present themselves as a group of talented performers staging brilliant and emotionally powerful plays wherever they go. However, behind this façade lies a covert network devoted to murder, manipulation, and the creation of “perfect tragedies.” Their performances are infamous not only for their artistic quality, but also for the real-life misfortune, death, and suffering that often follow in their wake, blurring the line between art and reality.
The organization is led by the enigmatic Troupe Master, whose ideology centers on the pursuit of artistic perfection through tragedy. To him, suffering, despair, and death are essential components of true beauty, and the Troupe exists solely to bring these ideals to life. In pursuit of this goal, the Troupe employs cruel and highly invasive Originium Arts capable of manipulating minds, controlling individuals, and reshaping their victims into unwilling participants in their performances. Members themselves are often subjected to these Arts, resulting in a loss of autonomy and deep psychological conditioning, effectively binding them to the Troupe’s will.
Historically, the Crimson Troupe operated primarily in the region of Calais-Blason, a former Gallic territory now part of Victoria. They wandered from place to place, staging performances while secretly orchestrating tragedies behind the scenes. At some point, they established a more permanent base within an abandoned Gallic castle, which they repurposed into a hidden stronghold. There, they conducted experiments on innocent people using their Arts, further refining their methods of control and theatrical manipulation.
A major turning point in the Troupe’s history occurred when Lucian—later known as Phantom and once their most gifted performer, nicknamed the “Blood Diamond”—turned against them. In a violent uprising, he massacred many of the Troupe’s senior members, including his own mentors, leaving the organization in chaos. Despite this devastating blow, the Troupe did not collapse; instead, it retreated into secrecy, reorganized, and continued its operations underground while recovering its strength.
After escaping the Troupe, Phantom dedicated himself to destroying it permanently. However, the Troupe’s influence over him was not fully severed. Through their powerful mind-controlling Arts, they eventually reasserted control over him, compelling him to return and once again assume his former role as the Blood Diamond. This conflict—alongside efforts by Rhodes Island to rescue him—forms the central narrative of Phantom & Crimson Solitaire.
The Troupe’s operational forces include a variety of bizarre and theatrical combat units, reflecting their fusion of performance and violence. These range from smaller entities like “Small Surprise” to more elaborate constructs such as the Derisive Audience, Scarlet Singer, and Theater Golem. Their most powerful forces take the form of grotesque, stage-like “boss” entities, including Big Sad Lock, Frost Buck, Snow Doe, and the Wandering Puppet—each embodying twisted theatrical motifs.
Notable members of the Crimson Troupe include figures such as the Playwright and the Troupe Mouthpiece, who serve key roles within its structure. Among its former members are Phantom and Shalem, both of whom have distanced themselves from the organization. The Troupe’s fallen senior members—killed during Phantom’s rebellion—include the Bladedance, a Sargonian dancer and master swordswoman; the Shadow, a Siracusan illusionist and ruthless killer who had previously murdered his own family; and the Whiteflower, a Leithanian opera actress known for her manipulative personality and ability to incite conflict through performance. Each of these individuals once served as Phantom’s mentors, making their deaths both personal and symbolic.
Overall, the Crimson Troupe is a uniquely disturbing faction that merges art with brutality, transforming theatre into a medium of control, suffering, and death. It stands as a chilling embodiment of obsession taken to its extreme—where the pursuit of beauty through tragedy leads to the deliberate orchestration of real-world horrors.

Team Rainbow, also known simply as RAINBOW, is an elite international counterterrorism unit originating from Earth that became an active cross-world faction within Terra following the Watchtower 33 Incident. Originally established under the authority of NATO, Rainbow operates as a highly specialized task force composed of top-tier operatives from multiple nations, created to respond rapidly and effectively to global terrorist threats. Its overall command structure is led by a director bearing the codename “Six,” with Harishva “Harry” Pandey serving as the current Six on Earth, while operational leadership in Terra is handled de facto by Eliza “Ash” Cohen. Though fundamentally an Earth-based organization headquartered at Hereford Base in the United Kingdom, its displaced members have established a secondary presence in Terra, primarily operating out of Ironforge in Columbia and previously the Rhodes Island landship.
Rainbow was originally founded in 1999 by John Clark in response to the increasing threat of international terrorism following the end of the Cold War. Designed as a multinational unit combining the best counterterrorism operatives worldwide, it achieved significant success in neutralizing terrorist threats and preventing large-scale attacks. Despite its effectiveness, the organization was deactivated in 2012, only to be reactivated in 2015 under new leadership to combat emerging threats such as the White Masks, a widespread terrorist network. Throughout its history on Earth, Rainbow has maintained a reputation for precision, adaptability, and operational excellence in high-risk scenarios.
The organization’s presence in Terra is the result of an anomalous event involving Levi Klitschko, a rogue Russian scientist experimenting with Originium-based biotechnology. Rainbow launched an operation to apprehend him, but during the mission, both Klitschko and several Rainbow operatives were unexpectedly transported to Terra. This event, later known as the Watchtower 33 Incident, effectively stranded part of the unit in an entirely different world. Cut off from Earth and NATO command, these operatives were forced to adapt to Terra’s conditions while maintaining their operational cohesion and objectives.
Following their arrival, the stranded Rainbow members, led by Ash, established cooperation with Rhodes Island, aligning with its mission and benefiting from its resources and knowledge of Terra. While their ultimate goal remains finding a way to return to Earth, they have integrated into local structures to survive and remain operational. Under Ash’s leadership, and through collaboration with the Maylander Foundation, Rainbow was reorganized within Terra as part of Maylander’s Security and Defense Company, effectively forming a localized iteration of the unit adapted to Terran conditions. This arrangement allows them to continue functioning as a counterterrorism and special operations force, albeit within a different geopolitical and technological context.
Despite being outsiders, Rainbow operatives retain their identity as Homo sapiens from Earth, distinguishing them from Terra’s native races and further emphasizing their anomalous status. Their expertise, training, and advanced tactical knowledge make them valuable allies, particularly to Rhodes Island, with whom they share mutual cooperation. However, their situation also places them in a unique position—simultaneously acting as foreign operatives, displaced individuals seeking a way home, and contributors to ongoing conflicts within Terra.
Notable members of Team Rainbow in Terra include Eliza “Ash” Cohen, who leads the group locally, alongside operatives such as Blitz, Frost, and Tachanka. Other members like Ela and Iana remain on Earth, having not been transported during the incident. This division underscores the fractured state of the organization across two worlds.
Overall, Team Rainbow represents a rare cross-dimensional entity within the Arknights setting: a highly disciplined and technologically advanced counterterrorism unit forced to operate in an unfamiliar world. While maintaining their original purpose of combating threats and protecting lives, their role in Terra has expanded into one of adaptation, alliance-building, and survival, all while pursuing the unresolved objective of returning to their home world.

Keys: Follower, Rhodes, R.I., Confessarius, 24th Major, Kawalerielki, Londinium, Victoria, Shining, Nearl, Nightingale

The Followers is a specialized branch of Rhodes Island composed of a small, tightly bonded group of wandering medics dedicated to providing aid in underserved and dangerous regions across Terra. Functioning as an itinerant medical unit rather than a formal institutional department, the group is led by Shining, a former member of the Kazdelian Confessarii, and is characterized by its dual role in both humanitarian relief and combat support. Despite its small size, the Followers are highly effective due to the exceptional abilities and experience of their members, operating with a strong sense of unity and purpose.
The group originated as a two-person traveling unit formed by Shining and Liz (later known as Nightingale) after their departure from the Confessarii, an organization in Kazdel with which Shining was formerly affiliated. Choosing to leave behind their past, the two began wandering across Terra, dedicating themselves to healing the sick and injured regardless of identity, status, or whether they were Infected. Their mission was purely humanitarian, focusing on reaching remote and rural areas where medical assistance was scarce or nonexistent.
During their travels, the pair encountered Margaret Nearl, the exiled Radiant Knight of Kazimierz, while defending themselves against bandits. Following this encounter, Nearl joined them, transforming the group into a trio. From that point onward, the Followers traveled together, combining Shining’s medical expertise, Nightingale’s supportive abilities, and Nearl’s combat prowess to protect and treat those in need. Their work was not limited to passive healing; they frequently operated in hostile environments, defending themselves and others while continuing their mission of care.
The Followers eventually became affiliated with Rhodes Island, integrating into its broader structure while retaining their identity as a semi-independent unit. Within Rhodes Island, they contribute both to medical operations and field missions, offering frontline treatment and support in combat situations. Their philosophy emphasizes compassion without discrimination, treating all individuals equally regardless of their background or infection status, aligning closely with Rhodes Island’s broader goals regarding Oripathy and social injustice.
One of their most significant contributions occurred during the events of the 24th Kazimierz Major, where they played a crucial role in aiding persecuted Infected populations in the ghettos of Kawalerielki. They provided shelter, medical care, and protection during a time of intense social and political turmoil. Following this, the group temporarily split to address different situations: Margaret Nearl remained in Kazimierz, while Shining and Nightingale traveled to Londinium in Victoria to assist in resolving the succession crisis there.
The Followers consist of three primary members: Shining, the leader and a highly skilled medic with a complex past tied to Kazdel; Nearl (Margaret Nearl), a powerful knight who provides both protection and leadership support; and Nightingale (Liz), whose abilities complement Shining’s medical work. Together, they form a cohesive unit bound not only by shared purpose but by deep personal loyalty, adhering to the principle that they will remain together regardless of hardship or distance.
Overall, the Followers represent a unique embodiment of Rhodes Island’s humanitarian ideals: a small but highly capable group that operates beyond conventional structures to deliver medical aid wherever it is needed most. Their combination of compassion, resilience, and combat readiness allows them to function effectively in the most challenging environments, making them an essential yet understated component of Rhodes Island’s operations across Terra.

The Rhodes Island Operations Reserve Team A1, commonly referred to as Op Reserve A1, is one of the six known operational reserve fireteams within Rhodes Island’s paramilitary force. Classified as an operational reserve squad, it is composed primarily of young Operators and serves as a training and deployment unit for developing personnel within Rhodes Island’s broader military structure. The team is led by Fang and consists of five members: Fang, Beagle, Hibiscus, Kroos, and Lava. While officially still recognized as active, it is strongly implied that the team may have been disbanded by the year 1101 following a series of tragic incidents affecting its members.
Op Reserve A1’s composition reflects its role as a formative unit within Rhodes Island. The team includes three young members who previously served within a Columbian police institution, alongside two sisters—Hibiscus and Lava—who joined Rhodes Island in order to seek treatment for the elder sister’s Oripathy. This mix of backgrounds highlights Rhodes Island’s practice of recruiting individuals from diverse circumstances and providing both purpose and support through its structure. As part of the reserve teams, A1 is tasked with handling missions appropriate to their level of experience while undergoing continued development, acting as both a functional squad and a training ground for future elite Operators.
Despite their relatively junior status compared to more experienced units like the Elite Ops, Op Reserve A1 has been involved in real operations across Terra, exposing them to the same dangers and hardships faced by full-fledged combat teams. Over time, these experiences have taken a significant toll on the group. It is implied through future developments that the team suffered severe losses or injuries during operations in regions such as Bolívar and Rim Billiton, particularly involving Beagle and Fang. These events are suggested to have led to the team’s eventual disbandment or functional dissolution, though the exact details remain unclear.
The members of Op Reserve A1 include Fang, the dependable and level-headed leader; Beagle, a defensive specialist known for her resilience; Kroos, a laid-back but highly capable sniper; and the sisters Hibiscus and Lava, who bring both medical support and offensive capability to the team. Together, they formed a balanced unit capable of handling a variety of missions despite their youth and relative inexperience.
Overall, Op Reserve A1 represents the developmental backbone of Rhodes Island’s paramilitary organization—a group of promising young Operators shaped through hardship, training, and real combat exposure. Their story underscores both the opportunities Rhodes Island provides to its recruits and the harsh realities they face, with their implied fate serving as a somber reminder of the risks inherent in Terra’s conflicts.

The Rhodes Island Operations Team A4, commonly referred to as Op A4, is one of the four primary fireteams within Rhodes Island’s paramilitary force, functioning as a tactical squad composed of experienced veteran Operators. Unlike reserve units focused on training newer recruits, Op A4 is made up of seasoned combatants who primarily operate behind the scenes as a reliable tactical reserve force, ready to be deployed when additional support or specialized experience is required. The team is officially led by Yato, including her alternate form Kirin R Yato, reflecting her central role in the squad’s command and combat capability. Op A4’s defining characteristic is the experience and dependability of its members. Rather than being frontline elites like the Elite Ops or developmental units like the reserve teams, A4 occupies a middle ground: a stable, highly reliable unit composed of veterans who may not always take the spotlight but are essential to maintaining operational consistency. Their role often involves supporting larger العمليات, reinforcing other squads, or handling missions that require steady execution rather than overwhelming force. This makes them a crucial backbone within Rhodes Island’s military structure. The squad’s composition includes Yato as leader, alongside members Durin, Noir Corne, Rangers, and the alternate-equipped version Rathalos S Noir Corne. Each member brings distinct strengths: Rangers, for instance, is one of the most experienced Operators in Rhodes Island, providing leadership and combat insight; Noir Corne serves as a defensive specialist with strong frontline capabilities; Durin contributes magical or Arts-based support despite her laid-back demeanor; and Yato herself is known for her speed and versatility in combat roles. Together, they form a balanced and adaptable unit capable of responding to a wide range of tactical situations. Although not as prominently highlighted as some other branches, Op A4’s importance lies in its consistency and reliability. As a tactical reserve force staffed by veterans, they ensure that Rhodes Island always has a dependable unit available for reinforcement, contingency operations, or missions requiring proven experience. Their behind-the-scenes role does not diminish their value; rather, it underscores their function as a steady and essential component of Rhodes Island’s broader operational framework. Overall, Op A4 represents the dependable core of Rhodes Island’s paramilitary organization—a team of experienced Operators who provide stability, adaptability, and quiet effectiveness in a world defined by constant conflict and uncertainty.

The Rhodes Island Operations Reserve Team A4, commonly referred to as Op Reserve A4, is one of the six known operational reserve fireteams within Rhodes Island’s paramilitary force. Classified as an operational reserve squad, it serves as a developmental unit composed primarily of teenage Operators who possess little to no prior combat experience at the time of their recruitment. The team is led by Melantha and consists of five members: Melantha, Adnachiel, Ansel, Cardigan, and Steward. Despite their inexperience, the squad is an active component of Rhodes Island’s structure, participating in missions while undergoing training and growth.
Op Reserve A4 represents the entry-level tier of Rhodes Island’s combat organization, where newly recruited individuals are integrated into the paramilitary system and gradually shaped into capable Operators. Unlike veteran teams or elite units, A4’s members are still learning the fundamentals of combat, coordination, and survival in the hazardous environments of Terra. Their role is not only to assist in operations suited to their level but also to gain firsthand experience under real conditions, accelerating their development through practical exposure.
The squad’s composition reflects a balance of basic combat roles. Melantha, as the leader, serves as a frontline fighter with strong physical capability relative to her experience level, providing stability and direction for the team. Adnachiel functions as a ranged attacker with disciplined marksmanship, while Ansel offers medical support despite being a trainee medic. Cardigan takes on defensive responsibilities, acting as a protective presence for the group, and Steward contributes Arts-based offense and analytical capability. Together, they form a foundational team structure that mirrors more advanced squads, allowing them to train in a realistic operational environment.
Although inexperienced, the members of Op Reserve A4 are characterized by their potential and willingness to improve. Their lack of prior combat background highlights Rhodes Island’s openness to recruiting individuals from diverse and non-military origins, offering them both purpose and the means to develop their skills. Through training, missions, and mentorship, they gradually build the competence required to handle more demanding assignments in the future.
Overall, Op Reserve A4 embodies the growth-oriented aspect of Rhodes Island’s paramilitary force. As a squad of young and relatively untested Operators, they represent the organization’s investment in the next generation, balancing vulnerability with promise. Their ongoing development ensures a steady continuation of capable personnel, reinforcing Rhodes Island’s long-term ability to operate in the complex and dangerous world of Terra.

The Rhodes Island Operations Reserve Team A6, commonly referred to as Op Reserve A6, is an operational reserve squad within Rhodes Island and one of the six known reserve fireteams forming part of its paramilitary structure. Classified as an active operational reserve unit, it consists primarily of combatants drawn from civilian backgrounds, distinguishing it from more formally trained military units; the sole exception is Spot, who previously served in the Sargonian military prior to joining the team.
The squad is led by Orchid, who functions not only as its formal leader but also as a stabilizing figure within the group. Op Reserve A6 is notably characterized by the unruly, mischievous, and often troublesome personalities of its members, a dynamic that has led Orchid to frequently describe her role as less of a conventional commander and more akin to a “babysitter” responsible for managing their behavior alongside operational duties.
In terms of composition, Op Reserve A6 includes Orchid as leader, alongside members Catapult, Midnight, Popukar, and Spot, forming a small but distinct unit within Rhodes Island’s broader reserve force. Despite their informal and chaotic interpersonal dynamics, they remain an officially recognized and functioning squad within the organization’s active roster.

Elves are a rare race in the world of Arknights, characterised by their long pointed ears, short to average stature, exceptionally long lifespans, and unchanging youthful appearance. However, they are extremely sensitive to Originium. If infected with Oripathy, their lifespan is reduced to less than a month. This sensitivity also prevents them from using Originium Arts, although they possess their own unique form of "magic" that compensates for this limitation.
Due to widespread Originium pollution caused by industrialisation across Terra, Elves have become an endangered race, often described as relics of the past. Most choose to live as hermits in remote forests, while others risk living in polluted cities. Small but thriving Elven communities still exist in unpolluted wilderness areas, particularly the forests of central Sami. Many Sami Elves reside within a massive sacred amber-filled tree that they worship as the source of their lives. Because of their isolation, they cannot speak the common Terran language, though Muelsyse is able to communicate with them through a form of telepathy.
Elves are not a naturally evolved race but creations of the god-like Feranmuts, originating as hybrids formed from the cells of the alien Predecessors and the Feranmuts during Terra's primordial era. Even after the Predecessors disappeared, some Feranmuts retained the ability to create Elves. For example, members of the original Shanhaizhong were Terrans transformed into Elves by the Feranmut Ju.

The Feranmuts are ancient, god-like beings and one of Terra's original inhabitants alongside the Sarkaz. They are colossal, biologically immortal creatures that possess supernatural powers unrelated to Originium Arts, making them immune to Originium and Oripathy. Their abilities are closely tied to the land, allowing them to reshape terrain, control weather, create life, and even manipulate concepts such as time and physics. When a Feranmut dies, its body transforms into mountains, rivers, and other landscapes that nurture new life.
According to their own legends, the Feranmuts emerged from a primordial void, created the land and celestial order, and later sacrificed many of their own to defeat a cosmic threat known as the "eye that broke the heavens." They were once worshipped as gods across Terra, but the Yanese discovered that they could die and eventually drove them out during the Great Hunt, forcing most survivors into hiding. Despite this, Feranmut influence remains widespread through religion, relics, and technology, and some are beginning to awaken in response to an approaching apocalypse.
Feranmuts can create proxies, humanoid avatars that act as their representatives while their true bodies hibernate. These proxies inherit part of the Feranmut's power but disappear when the original awakens. They can also create geists, spirits born from man-made objects infused with Feranmut power. Geists persist as long as their vessel exists and may even evolve to become more human.
The Feranmuts also created the Elves, either directly or through combining their own cells with those of the ancient Predecessors. Different Feranmuts created different Elven groups, such as Muel's Water Elves, who heal Sami the All-Father and guard ancient ruins, and Yaan's Wood Elves, who were nearly exterminated during the Great Hunt.

The Anasa are a race descended from the ancient Teekaz, sharing a common ancestry with the Sarkaz and closely related to the Oni. They are distinguished by their horns, tails, dark halos, and exceptional physical strength. Originating from eastern-migrating Sarkaz tribes that became geographically isolated, they gradually developed into a distinct race while retaining aspects of Sarkaz culture, including witchcraft and a traditionally nomadic lifestyle.
Despite their shared ancestry, the Anasa possess beliefs that differ significantly from the Sarkaz. Rather than viewing Oripathy as a curse, they revere it as a divine blessing and source of revelation, with haloed individuals regarded as "Enlightened Ones." They also believe in reincarnation, seeing death as the beginning of new life rather than an end.
Anasa philosophy, together with that of the Oni, eventually gave rise to a Terran equivalent of Buddhism, which spread throughout eastern Terra through their monks and religious teachings. Their culture also places great emphasis on strength and the protection of others, reflected in traditions such as coming-of-age ceremonies in which capable youths are presented with ceremonial weapons as an oath to defend the weak.

The Durin are a short-statured race descended from the ancient Teekaz, sharing a common ancestry with the Sarkaz. They are recognised by their pointed ears and average height of around 130 cm, which often leads to them being mistakenly viewed by surface-dwellers as humans with dwarfism. Over time, this misconception has developed into a widespread prejudice against them.
Durins are naturally optimistic, peaceful, and open-minded, preferring coexistence over conflict. They are renowned for their love of alcohol and possess an innate sensitivity to geological and topographical changes, making them exceptional miners, geologists, and underground explorers. Their homeland lies in a vast underground world unknown to most surface inhabitants, where independent city-states possess technology far surpassing that of the surface, including climate-controlled domes, advanced automatons, and highly sophisticated Arts devices. Despite this technological superiority, the Durins have little interest in influencing surface politics or pursuing further scientific advancement.
Although Durins have appeared in surface history and folklore for centuries, meaningful contact only became common in recent history after underground lifts connected their homeland to the surface. Many Durins claim they travel above ground simply for entertainment and to escape the monotony of their utopian society, though surface scholars remain sceptical due to the limited information available about their civilisation.
Like the Anasa and Oni, the Durins originated as a Teekaz offshoot. They are believed to descend from a tribe that ventured deep underground in search of ancient relics, eventually becoming isolated from the surface. Over countless generations, they adapted to their subterranean environment, developing their distinctive physical traits and culture while gradually forgetting their shared origins with the Sarkaz.

The Oni are a race descended from the ancient Teekaz, sharing a common ancestry with the Sarkaz and closely related to the Anasa. They are characterised by one or two horns on their foreheads, usually lacking the tails typical of the Sarkaz, and are known for their exceptional physical strength. This has led to longstanding stereotypes portraying them as violent, barbaric warriors, although Oni individuals vary greatly in personality.
The majority of Oni live in Higashi, where they have played a central role throughout the nation's history. Once feared as the legendary Jinki, they were eventually incorporated into Higashinese society and became deeply involved in its military and political development. In the modern era, they are fully integrated into society, though historical prejudices remain. Oni are still commonly stereotyped as warmongers, gangsters, or ill-mannered people, resulting in discrimination despite their historical importance to Higashi.
Oni culture places great importance on martial discipline and self-control. A defining inherited trait is their tendency to lose themselves in battle, entering violent berserk states. Rather than relying on external authority, Oni developed traditions of meditation, martial arts, and self-cultivation to master these instincts, giving rise to a unique philosophy centred on discipline and inner strength. Alongside the Anasa's beliefs in reincarnation, these teachings eventually formed the basis of a Terran equivalent of Buddhism, which spread across eastern Terra.
One distinctive Oni tradition is their naming custom. Historically, Oni identified themselves only by their given names, abandoning family names after political upheaval and persecution in Higashi's past. Although later governments attempted to require surnames for administrative purposes, many Oni ignored the law, and the tradition of using only given names remains common.
Like the Anasa, the Oni originated from eastern-migrating Teekaz tribes that became isolated from the main Sarkaz population over thousands of years. This separation allowed them to develop their own physical traits, culture, and philosophy while gradually becoming a distinct race.

Keys: Sankta, Laterano, Lateran
Enabled · After character · Order 600 · 100%

The Sankta are a race descended from the ancient Teekaz, sharing a common ancestry with the Sarkaz despite centuries of conflict between the two. They are easily recognised by the halos above their heads and luminescent wings on their backs, both of which are gifts from the Law, the mysterious entity that governs their race. Their halos and wings fade upon death and may also be affected by illness or birth defects. Sankta predominantly inhabit Laterano, where their society is built around the teachings and commandments of the Law.
The Sankta possess several unique racial traits. They have a natural affinity for firearms, having pioneered their development, and every Sankta traditionally receives a personal patron firearm upon coming of age. Firearms hold deep religious and cultural significance, with ownership and use being tightly regulated in Laterano. They also possess an innate form of empathy that allows nearby Sankta to directly sense one another's emotions, creating an unusually harmonious society. However, this empathic ability also creates a psychological divide between Sankta and other races, making it difficult for outsiders to fully understand them. Sankta who spend long periods away from their own people may develop Errari, a condition that weakens their ability to process this empathic connection.
Although widely regarded as a distinct race, the Sankta originated from a group of Teekaz who came into contact with the Law during an ancient expedition. This encounter fundamentally transformed them, granting them their halos, wings, and unique abilities while erasing much of their former identity. They went on to found Laterano, while the remaining Teekaz—who would become the Sarkaz—viewed them as traitors for abandoning their people. In turn, Laterano rewrote much of its own history and contributed to the widespread discrimination against the Sarkaz, deepening the hostility between the two races. Despite this, Sankta and Sarkaz remain biologically compatible, and children born from the two races can still be recognised as Sankta by the Law.
A Sankta who violates the Law becomes a Fallen. The most common cause is using a patron firearm against another Sankta, though the Law ultimately determines what constitutes a transgression. Fallen Sankta lose many of the blessings granted by the Law, including their empathic connection and ability to properly use patron firearms, while their halos and wings become dim or shattered and dormant Sarkaz traits, such as horns and tails, may reappear. Although historically persecuted, Fallen Sankta are now treated more leniently under Laterano's current leadership. Even after the Law itself ceased to function following the Laterano Calamity, the Sankta eventually retained their empathy and racial identity, suggesting that their connection to one another now exists independently of the Law.

The Sarkaz are an ancient race and the original inhabitants of Terra, once known as the Teekaz. They are a broad group of related races that existed before the arrival of the Ancients, Elders, and Predecessors. After their civilisation collapsed through conflicts with the alien Predecessors and the spread of Originium, the Teekaz people became scattered across Terra, giving rise to several related races including the Sankta, Anasa, Oni, and Durins. The Sarkaz remain the primary descendants of the original Teekaz and are centred around Kazdel, though many live as a diaspora across Terra.
Sarkaz appearance varies greatly between tribes, but they commonly possess horns, pointed ears, and tails. They are known for several unique racial traits, including a strong vulnerability to Oripathy due to their ancient connection with Originium, long lifespans that can extend for centuries or even millennia, and the ability to access collective racial memories inherited from deceased Sarkaz. Their advanced Originium Arts, known as Sarkaz witchcraft, often draws upon bloodlines, memories of the dead, and personal sacrifices, making it powerful but dangerous.
Sarkaz culture is deeply influenced by their relationship with death and their belief in spiritual forces. They believe that the souls of deceased Sarkaz form a collective consciousness known as the myriad souls, which preserves the memories and emotions of their ancestors. These spirits are both a source of wisdom and a burden, as the accumulated suffering and resentment of past generations continue to influence the living. Their religious traditions focus on understanding death, ancestral connections, and the hope of eventually freeing these souls from their suffering.
Historically, the Sarkaz were displaced from their homeland and became victims of widespread discrimination across Terra. They are often labelled as "demons" or blamed for Oripathy, wars, and disasters despite much of their suffering coming from persecution and displacement. Many societies exploit them as mercenaries or deny them equal rights, causing generations of resentment and hardship. These experiences have shaped the Sarkaz identity, with many embracing their reputation as a symbol of survival and unity.
The Sarkaz consist of many distinct tribes, each with their own physical traits, abilities, and cultures. These tribes are not simply subgroups but separate races that share a common Teekaz origin. Over history, many ancient tribes disappeared, while others survived and became part of modern Sarkaz society. Despite their differences, they remain connected through shared ancestry, collective memories, and the struggles faced by their people.

The Aegir are an ancient race originating from the underwater nation of Aegir, located beneath Terra’s oceans. They are a diverse group of aquatic-based races with appearances ranging from fully humanoid to more animal-like forms featuring traits such as fins and tentacles. While many Aegir are adapted to underwater life and can breathe underwater, not all possess this ability.
A defining trait of the Aegir is their dependence on moisture. Their skin and respiratory systems require high levels of humidity, making them extremely vulnerable to dehydration. Aegir living on land must carefully maintain their moisture levels through water supplies, specialised creams, and other methods. Despite their connection to the ocean, they are not inherently specialised in water-based Originium Arts.
Aegir populations can be found across Terra, especially in coastal regions and nations such as Iberia and Higashi. Some Aegir communities have integrated into surface societies, contributing their knowledge in fields such as engineering and environmental management. However, certain groups have faced discrimination and persecution due to historical conflicts and fears surrounding their origins.
According to modern understanding, all Aegir originate from the underwater civilisation of Aegir, though their own legends describe their ancestors as land-dwelling beings that gradually migrated into rivers, seas, and eventually the deep ocean. After discovering ancient Predecessor ruins beneath the sea, the Aegir used these technologies to develop an advanced underwater civilisation far beyond that of many surface nations.
Unlike surface races, the Aegir of the ocean are largely unaffected by Oripathy because Originium is absent from the seas. However, they face a greater threat from the Seaborn, oceanic beings capable of assimilating Aegir through biological modification, mental influence, or forced infection with Seaborn cells. As a result, many Aegir remain at the forefront of the struggle against the Seaborn threat.

Despite their physically weaker bodies compared to some other races, Anaties are highly adapted to harsh environments. They are skilled diggers and climbers, capable of carving entire cave systems into mountains to serve as their homes. Their agility and ability to navigate difficult terrain have also led many Anaties to become travelling merchants and Catastrophe Messengers.
Some Anaty communities maintain traditional coming-of-age rituals where young individuals are sent into isolated mountains to survive alone for a set period. The Anura are a rare Ancient race in Arknights based on frogs and toads. Although they have a mostly humanoid appearance, they possess frog-like skin features, prefer humid environments, and can produce toxins as a natural defence mechanism. Many Anurans are skilled in camouflage and invisibility Arts, and they can control the strength of their toxins, using them for protection while remaining immune to their own poison.
Anurans are mainly found in the rainforests of eastern Sargon and southern Bolívar, where they inhabit swamps, river valleys, and other moist environments. They often live alongside other races adapted to similar habitats and are known for their cooperation within local communities. Due to their rarity, Sargonians traditionally view Anurans as wise and refined figures, leading to their involvement in important roles such as imperial officers.
Some Anuran populations have migrated beyond their rainforest homes, settling in greener cities with strong water management systems. However, certain communities have faced historical persecution, including exploitation as experimental subjects in conflicts involving the Seaborn. As a result, some Anurans outside their homeland have lost much of their connection to their origins, preserving their heritage mainly through folklore and oral traditions.

Some Archosaurians display sexual dimorphism, with males often having more animal-like features than females.
Archosaurians are known for their strength, hunting skills, and warrior culture. Their physical power makes them formidable fighters, while their ability to camouflage themselves in swamps and rivers allows them to become effective ambush predators. They are also skilled hunters who rely on both physical strength and environmental adaptation.
They are primarily found in the eastern rainforests of Sargon, especially the Acahualla region where they are native. Acahuallan Archosaurians hold a strong cultural identity and use the honorary title "Tiacauh," which represents their historical prestige. The Aslan identity originated from a Feline tribe in Sargon whose members possessed unique traits and believed they held a divine right to rule. They established themselves as a distinct group and launched conquests across the region, eventually becoming associated with kingship and racial separation. Their rise influenced many groups across Terra to define themselves through their own unique traits and cultures.
In modern Terra, the Aslan are the ruling bloodline of both Sargon and historically Victoria. The Sargonian royal family continues to descend from the Aslan dynasty, while a branch of the Aslan family once established itself as the rulers of Victoria after overthrowing previous royal houses. The Caprinae are an Ancient race in Arknights based on goats, sheep, and antelopes. They are characterised by curved keratin horns, pointed or floppy ears, short upright tails, and naturally agile bodies. They possess average physical abilities but are known for their exceptional reflexes and nimbleness.
The Caprinae are especially renowned for their talent in Originium Arts, being among the strongest Arts users in Terra alongside the Sarkaz. This ability has led to stereotypes that they are naturally mystical or connected to supernatural powers. While many Caprinae are skilled Arts users, some are unable to use Arts due to physical conditions or birth traits, though they may instead possess exceptional physical strength.
Caprinae culture places great importance on their horns, often viewing them as symbols of beauty and individuality. Their appearance can sometimes cause them to be mistaken for Sarkaz due to their horns, though they lack the Sarkaz's racial memory abilities. This similarity has historically allowed some Caprinae to infiltrate Sarkaz communities, though they are eventually exposed.
Caprinae are one of the more widespread races in Terra, with their largest population found in Leithanien and surrounding regions such as Victoria and Siracusa. Their influence is strongly associated with Leithanien's artistic and cultural traditions, particularly its musical heritage, which played a major role in shaping the nation's identity and political structure.

Cautuses are especially common in Rim Billiton, where they form the majority of the native population. Their society is built around strong family bonds, cooperation, and community support. They live in underground settlements known as "rabbit's holes," where they grow crops such as drought-resistant carrots and root vegetables while also mining Originium deposits. Families play a central role in their communities, with larger families often becoming leaders and forming the foundation of their social structure.
In the modern era, Rim Billitonian Cautuses have adapted their traditional communities into mining alliances, where families cooperate through organised companies and assign roles based on individual skills. These alliances have strengthened both their economy and political influence, allowing them to maintain independence and resist outside pressures.

The Cerato are an Ancient race in Arknights based on rhinoceroses. They are characterised by one or two pointed horns on their foreheads, rounded tubular ears with tufts of hair, muscular builds, and relatively tall statures. Despite having the ability to run quickly, their heavy physiques make long-distance travel tiring, so they generally avoid extended trekking.
Cerato culture places great importance on their horns, which have historically served as their primary weapons. Horn clashes are considered a traditional practice that represents honour while also helping maintain and strengthen their horns. In modern times, some Ceratoes further enhance their horns with protective equipment and modifications.
Ceratoes are an uncommon race mainly found in oasis settlements of Sargon. Their communities have a strong tradition of aviculture, raising and breeding fowlbeasts. Many elderly Ceratoes keep pet fowlbeasts and bring them to communal spaces, with some local fowlbeast species even forming unique symbiotic relationships with Cerato communities.

The Elafia are an Ancient race in Arknights based on deer, giraffes, and okapi. They are characterised by antlers, funnel-shaped ears, and short rounded tails. Young Elafians have velvet-covered antlers with sensitive nerves that allow them to perceive touch, while some regional groups possess taller bodies, longer tufted tails, and additional horn-like structures.
Elafians place great cultural importance on their antlers, viewing them as symbols of their identity and their connection with nature. They use their antlers to express emotions and communicate, and their traditions often incorporate them into art and literature. Due to their strong association with forests and nature, Elafians are often stereotyped as mystical and secluded people. They also have a deep appreciation for music, particularly smaller instruments such as harmonicas, which are valued for their ability to create emotional experiences.
Elafians are a widespread race found in many forested regions across Terra, with large populations in areas such as Sami and Leithanien. Sami is believed to be their original homeland, though many Elafians there have lost awareness of their ancestral roots due to urbanisation. Some remote Sami communities continue traditional nomadic lifestyles and maintain the belief that their antlers are sacred, using them as a means of connecting with the natural world.

Because of their wide distribution and diversity, "Feline" is often used as a broad term for many cat-like Terrans.
Although the Aslan share similar biology and originated as a Feline subgroup, they became politically and culturally distinct after the Aslanian Conquest. As a result, modern Felines and Aslans are usually considered separate groups despite their shared ancestry.
