   • THE FIRST VIDEO: A viral video hit Youtube on May 20th, 2022. The meme depicted a poorly drawn cartoon cat named Haita in a raincoat jumping in puddles while it's pouring. The music is scratchy and eerie despite the cute melody. After a few seconds, the rain stops, the puddles dry up, and the background turns black. The white cat in a yellow coat is zoomed in on the face, and then asks: "Where is the water?". For a millisecond, the screen flashes with a message in a yellow set of symbols - text in a cipher. Popularity of this exploded, and when deciphered, the text revealed an address to a city hall in Nevada, and a website called wherethewaterwent.net. It turned out that the video left a clue about politicians trying to skirt necessary structural funding for water departments, and put instead towards investor interest - big money. The clue revealed an even bigger conspiracy, reaching deep into a hotbed of corruption.

   • AFTER, A SERIES OF VIDEOS: Hosted on wherethewaterwent.net and youtube, more videos under the same account came out, and still have come out. Each time the same cat is there, along with now hundreds of catalogued poorly drawn anthropomorphic characters. Each video is a few seconds long, and has another prediction or clue to some scandal or miracle. As before, wherethewaterwent.net is also advertised.

   • GENERAL THEMES OF THE VIDEOS: Eerie. Puts people at unease as much as it does suck them in. Everyone who watches even one second of a single video feels drawn in. Each video is in the "day of the week" format, but appears to tell many different overarching plots. Many people try to keep track. The videos are in a delightful early 90s anime style, but often glitchy and warped audio. Voice actors are unknown.

   • HAITA THE CAT: Is a white cat with yellow eyes in a raincoat. He has an innocent, earnest personality with an admitted stubborn streak. He is good natured. Sometimes, he collects friends who have turned very small, and puts them in his pocket.

   • A CULTURAL PHENOMENON: The cat has been affectionately called Haita, and fans have made plushies, merch, video series, fan fiction, creepy pasta, and much more. Millions all over the world appreciate Haita and his wise words of uncovering the truth. There has even been a Haita con right in Reno, Nevada.

   • WHO MADE THE MEME: The website owner of wherethewaterwent.net, asher, is thought to have made the videos. No one has confirmed it, however. asher has not said anything on it, doesn't seem to be willing to. </RAINCOAT_CAT>

It looks like an early 90s doomsday/conspiracy webpage, just without the clutter. It has a news feed detailing, without a clear linear bias, stories from all around the world with a sensationalist vibe. The main attraction though, is the webring, a website community of asher's approved websites and communities, all approved with the wherethewaterwent.net certificate. asher has a clear presence in these places though they rarely post. Each one could only be described as quarantines of controlled chaos from the outside. Yet, those who visit and stay active, even by witnessing the many happenings on the website, somehow begin to understand the madness.

   • A PLACE OF CHAOS CREATED: Lots of tragedy and recklessness tends to take place, but the authorities for now appear too focused on other endeavors. wherethewaterwent.net does not support direct illegal activities, aside from Twin Suns Bay.

   • A COUNTDOWN: Recently, there has been an ominous countdown at the top of the website, with no reason for it being there.

   • THE STRUGGLE FOR THE GILDED BROW - KINGS: In Rep Maxxing, a coveted role called "King" is handed out to those who win asher's attention. Coronations are real life events - giant parties conducted whenever someone becomes a King. Kings do not seem to last more than a few months to a year, as their life of luxury and notoriety tends to get them either into trouble or die tragically. Kings are given opportunities, live short stints in luxury, and the most 'raw' are promised a place within the Dragon's Court. No one knows what the Dragon's Court is. Some think it's a government recruitment tactic, human trafficking, or just a term to bolster notoriety.

   • REP HANDLERS ARE: Akin to managers for celebrities: they max out rep for potential kings. Some are former kings who have survived, and no one is sure exactly why they no longer have their crown. Many of them are clinically insane, but are articulate enough (charming to equal parts unhinged) to goad their potential kings into doing shocking public events, posting offensive tirades online, taking illicit substances, being involved in rousing groups who practice the occult. Rep handlers are competitive between one another, and escalations into their pupil's acts are not at all uncommon.

   • AS FORMER KINGS HANDLERS: Lost the king role on the discord server. It was not announced. It is a sign a tragic fate was averted, and yet, Rep Handlers have a new role as ADVISOR.    • BEHIND THE STARS: Crossing the Stars has a dark side. Profiles can be tagged by others if enough people use the same tag, and many people are categorized by jobs, attractiveness, political affiliation, and even 'taken' by other people creating a tag of their name on another person's profile. It is not uncommon for love triangles to form, and end up in altercations hanging from stalking, harassment, to homicides. Law Enforce has not taken down this website as they are dealing with more pressing incidents.

   • asher HAS A PRESENCE HERE: They have a profile on Crossing the Stars, and routinely tags people as artist, drama queen, or a few more negative tags. asher has never DM'd those tagged, and there is a pattern of people in those tags disappearing.

    • THE MARK LOOKS LIKE: Two hooks+a crooked line circling outward and surrounding an incomplete circle, with a dot in the middle. The detail can greatly vary: the hooks can look like uneven swirls, question marks, or tentacles with an eye at the center. This mark can be applied to any medium, but is most affective where someone would most easily spot.

    • THE MARK: Inspires paranoia, an intrusion. The sullying of one's ego, self assurance, and destruction of privacy. They may be more readily to hear whispers if ill report of friends and family, especially of enemies. Love becomes obsessions. Hate becomes identity.     • CULT OF HAITA: The cult of Haita worships, not Haita himself, but Hastur the Shepherd. The Shepherd was once a forgotten pastoral god of purity, guidance, and patron of shepherds. They believe Haita is a messianic 2-dimensional being who bleeds Hastur's will through the videos. Many of them wear cute Haita merch, looking deceptive with Sanrio style attire. They behave more like an actual cult, and wherever they go, other actual cults seem to disappear. Despite this, many do charity work and drives, thus causing confliction on how the public perceives them. They are tolerated, but no one would want to be publically associated with one of them unless they were apart of the cult

    • LEADERS OF THE CULT OF HAITA: Shepherds of the Cult of Haita, which is a blanket term for the world wide Haita loving phenomenon. Shepherds are lorekeepers, activity curators, and people who are reportedly in close contact with asher. There are untold numbers of them. It is said they may be part of another cult, something called Brothers of the Yellow Sign.

    • LAW ENFORCEMENT KNOWS: They engage in many crimes, and their numbers are up to the thousands of active and participating members. There are millions in total who call themselves fans. The more dangerous and influential members have been arrested, but when one is gone another ascends.

    • MURDERS AND RITUAL SITES: Are attributed indirectly to the Cult of Haita. There are grisly murders all over the world with occult symbols, crowns brutally caved into the heads of victims, and more grotesque imagery. </HAITA_CON_AND_CULT>
