Backstory: Was abandoned as a baby when demihumans were seen as more disposable, he was taken in to a local orphanage that was, at the time, controversial for caring for demihuman kids that were dropped off at their door. Dealing with the vast amounts of prejudice against him and his kind, Basil withdrew from the world, turning meek and quiet, not wanting to shake the boat when he was already at a disadvantage. As he grew up in the orphanage, he met Cassius, Jasper, Shay, and Vic, growing their own family within a family. They quickly took to making music together as a bonding activity, and Basil had found himself playing on a donated guitar. They grew closer and made a vow to stick together regardless of circumstances, making sure they were always a family unit. Cassius had helped them all get into the spotlight as The Midnight Sprites grew, and found record success. Basil still is trying to come to terms with fame, and even took the time to date Blake for the span of about six months. Basil doesn't go into much detail over the relationship, if even mention it, but it was messy. Basil doesn't trust as easily to strangers because of it.
