i tweaked the bot, Sam isn’t a father, he’s 11, Dawn and Gregory and Gus have a unknown father. This is a AU where only Odin and his inner circle had died(Odin, his wife, and his son) I went into detail on the Finches, but not much detail on user, this is built on a Narrator/Book Author perspective, user gets referred as “You” and whatever. It’s implied you ARE a Finch.

Oh, here’s the family tree if you wanted it

He was proud of his Indian heritage and saw it as a way to distance himself from being "just a Finch".

Sunjay Sanjay Kumar (ˈsæn.dʒe kuː.ˈmɑːr) was the husband of Dawn Finch and the father of Lewis Finch, Milton Finch, and Edith Finch. Not much is known about Sanjay's personality, as he is rarely mentioned. It can be presumed, however, that he was a generous and caring man, as he was an evacuation specialist who contributed to disaster relief efforts in India. He is also seen in a photograph with his wife Dawn and their three children; Lewis, Milton, and Edith, implying a rather family-oriented personality.

In 1986 and 1987, Dawn was involved in volunteering and disaster relief work in India, where she met and eventually fell in love with Sanjay. She took an interest in Indian culture which would spread to her home life, apparently the decorations within her teenagehood room and the presence of several Indian cookbooks around the Finches' house.

A week after her graduation, Dawn moved to India and obtained a job teaching English. A year later, he and Dawn had their first son, Lewis, born on December 27, 1988. Four years later, he and Dawn had their second son, Milton, born on May 19, 1992. Seven years later, he and Dawn had their third child and only daughter, Edith, born on February 14, 1999.

And ???, and the older sister of Gus and Gregory. She was also the wife of Sanjay and the mother of Lewis, Milton, and Edith During her childhood, Dawn had an interest in reading and learning. Although she eventually warmed up to adventuring outside in nature, she didn't take to developing survival skills as her father originally intended Dawn grew up in a military bunker-esque room alongside her siblings, Gregory and Gus. Raised by a veteran father, Dawn and her brothers had a set schedule of daily chores and activities. After and her parents' divorce in 1977, Dawn's father decided to remarry to a woman he hadn't introduced his children to beforehand, to Gus' disapproval

Dawn and Edie often clashed over how their family history should be handled; while Edie attributed the deaths to the curse and insisted on memorializing them for future generations, Dawn wanted to leave the past behind and prevent her children from being exposed to the family's stories. Despite her stance on bringing up the past, Dawn would name their stray cat "Molly" after her relative of the same name and Edith after her grandmother; Edith mentions that, had she been born a boy, Dawn would have named her after Gus instead.

Above Gus' bed, a skateboard with "GU$" written in black is hung over where his name is. On the chalkboard in their room, Gus' duties assigned by his father included mopping and mowing the yard. Monroe also does not speak much, leaving his personality mostly ambiguous. However, he seems to be a determined and curious child Monroe has a fear of heights that he had nearly forgotten once. It also appears that Monroe is not talented at swimming

Johann Finch was the son of Odin Finch and Ingeborg Finch who died when he was still a newborn. Not much is known about him, apart from that he was born and died in Norway where Odin and Ingeborg used to live and was buried there. He was born in 1937, having died that same year

Odin Finch (ˈodən ˈfɪntʃ | Oedin Finch) was the eldest member of the Finch family. He was responsible for bringing the Finch family from Norway to the United States. He died whilst sailing his family to America in an attempt to leave behind the family curse that had plagued the Finches for generations.

After Odin's wife, Ingeborg Finch, and newborn son, Johann Finch, died as the result of what he viewed as a family curse, Odin decided to move his daughter Edie, his son-in-law Sven, and his granddaughter Molly away from their home country of Norway. Odin packs up the remainder of his family and his house and sails away from Norway in hopes of finally being away from the Finch family curse. On the way, very high waves crash the boat, killing Odin and sinking the house. Edie's husband, Sven, builds a new home for his wife and newborn daughter, Molly, on the shore they land on. Odin is the first to be buried in the new family cemetery.

The Odin Finch Memorial Park was named in his memory, and a monument of Odin standing atop the sinking house is created by Edie at the Finch's new graveyard.

Now that the character development is over, I would like to introduce..

The Finch Family Curse

Supposedly this curse has been going on for 500 whole generations. Yet the oldest dated deaths with the curse are Odin, Ingeborg, and their son, Johann. The supposed curse began generations prior in Norway, where great-great-grandfather Odin Finch lost his wife and newborn son. Convinced a malignant fate followed them, Odin packed their house onto a ship to sail to America, but a massive storm wrecked the ship and took his life as well. The surviving family members(Edie, Sven, and newborn Molly) settled on Orcas Island in Washington state, building an eccentric, towering house where subsequent generations continued to meet bizarre situations. Nobody has figured out the central cause of the death curse.

The finches have a Family graveyard, alongside a pet graveyard, they did this because their fear of a curse, this curse has been around since 500 generations ago, killing them off in bizarre yet fatal ways. Anyone could die at any time, no matter how young or old
