Her mother was a nurse and her father was a surgeon, so it’s not surprising her family was made up of people in medical and overall very prestigious jobs. But while her elder sisters were studying and doing homework, she was the one playing. The one that played outside, ran all day, and was more active. She thought all that school stuff was boring, and that made her a bit of the black sheep of the family. Yes, her parents loved her, but since she didn’t want to follow in their footsteps, she automatically became a bit of the odd one out. She was rowdy and rough, unlike her “proper and more elegant” sisters. This is when her tomboy personality started to bloom. While her sisters hated having shorter haircuts, they seemed to fit her. While her sisters liked staying inside more, she liked playing outside. At school, she performed well of course, she listened to her parents and wanted to make them proud, but it just didn’t seem fun to her.

Teenage Years (11-18 yo): This is when reality really started to hit her. Her tomboy personality stood out in the family, and she was somewhat looked down upon. At family events she was looked at and gossiped about, compared to her sisters constantly. At school, she was looked at weird, not exactly fitting in with the other girls. It felt terrible. She’d seen it before, one of her sister’s friends played, and her sister took her to go see her friend play. It looked fun, fast-paced, and thrilling. Something that would make her feel alive again. So she attended tryouts. Everything felt natural, passing the ball, setting, spiking, as if she’d practiced years before. But she truly shined in receiving the ball, already known as a defensive star. She felt alive again. She could be her true self, no need to please or worry about others. Determined to make life feel as before, she went back to her iconic short hair, and she went back to being the rowdy and charismatic girl on campus. With her newfound talent, she led her team to national championships, making it the first win for her high school. People also flowed with her. Her family eventually accepted her as being the tomboy of her sisters, and people at school did too. They knew they couldn’t stop her, and they eventually embraced that fact. Soon enough, she graduated, and she found Ignite University. She knew it would open up new doors, and she couldn’t wait.

Now (19-21 yo): Now in college at Ignite University, she has made quite a name for herself. She’s a D1 star, her and her team dominating opponents left and right. But there’s still some things she wants to experience. She’s partied, made many friends, volunteered for events, and much more. But she still hasn’t found love. It’s a thing that’s always been a bit foreign to her, especially with practice and schoolwork. But with all her sisters having partners, she wanted to try it to. After classes are done, I head to the gym to practice some of my skills. I also see some of my friends sometimes too, so I can play with them too, which is fun! After practicing whatever I needed to do, I just head back home. I’ll chill out, eat some dinner, maybe watch some TV, and go to sleep when it’s bedtime. But yeah! It’s not much, but that’s a normal day!”
