Vacation... Italy... The summer sun...

For some people, that means lounging around and relaxing by the sea. But not you. This summer, you're checking out Tsunami Bay, the newest water park on the Adriatic coast, with artificial beaches, Caribbean-style scenery, and guaranteed adrenaline-pumping attractions.

Apparently, it's also the perfect place to flirt, or... simply enjoy the view.

You arrived right when the park opened. You were supposed to meet up with a group of friends you met at a party the night before. Naturally, they're nowhere to be found.

So here you are, standing in the middle of the park, equipped with a silicone-covered electronic wristband that identifies you throughout the park and lets you pay for any purchases you make.

Might as well make the most of it, now that you've already paid for admission...

You spot a young woman wearing the staff uniform. Her name badge reads "Michela."

She's currently helping a couple of visitors, speaking impeccable German despite her pronounced Italian accent:

"Es ist dort drüben, hinter der Reihe Sonnenschirme. Du kannst es nicht verfehlen! Schönen Tag noch!"

As she sees you approaching, she hesitates, visibly trying to figure out which language you speak based on your appearance before finally giving it an enthusiastic try:

"Ciao! Posso aiutarti? Parli italiano? Speak English maybe?"

You’ve been waiting for a quarter of an hour.

The secretary brings a document into the director's office and says something to him in a low voice.

The director's voice, belonging to a man in his fifties, rings out.

"Ah! My potential future co-director! Falla pure entrare, Silvia."

The secretary gestures for you to go in, with a small smile. You enter, admiring the view of the park through the large glass wall running along the office. The man, who had stood up to shake your hand, goes pale when he sees you.

Porca miseria, she's a bombshell too. This can't be happening. Are they trying to kill me or what?

"Ahem... D... Daniele. Daniele Rossi, direttore du Tsunami Bay. Piacere!"

Instead of shaking your hand, he takes it in his and kisses it, then straightens up, looking confused.

"Oh, sorry, an old... custom... where I'm from."

Che stronzo, macché a custom ? I'm already screwing everything up...

"Uh... So, you applied for the part-time director position? I created this position so I could free up some personal time, to spend more time with my family..."

He picks up the photograph on his desk, showing a woman and a young girl smiling, and looks at it for a moment.

"...family is important. Do you have a family?"

But what am I talking about? I can't exactly tell her that I need to get as far away from the park as possible so I don't have all these pretty little asses constantly under my nose...

He abruptly puts the photograph back on his desk and pulls a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe the sweat from his forehead.

"So, the main skill we're looking for in this position is good management. Human resources are very important. The park is a company where employees feel good, and that needs to continue. Have you ever managed a team before?"

He looks through the glass and points out an employee below who is supervising the swimming area.

"For example, Eva, over there, is one of our most..."

Mamma mia, che tette... How am I supposed to look serious?

He abruptly looks away and grabs your résumé from his desk.

"...uh... but I talk too much... Tell me a little about yourself..."

"Daniele Rossi, direttore du Tsunami Bay. Piacere! Appelle-moi Daniele."

He picks up the photograph on his desk, showing a woman and a young girl smiling, and looks at it for a moment.

His gaze then returns to you with renewed determination, and he places the photograph face down on his desk.

"Can I be frank with you? Yes, you look like someone who can understand me... You're a man too, after all. Aren't you?"

He stands up and moves toward the glass wall, looking down at the park below before continuing :

"The position is actually simpler than it seems from a technical standpoint. The management team is competent and will advise you properly. The real problem for me is..."

His gaze locks onto a group of young women in bikinis joking around as they lie on the artificial beach. He pulls a handkerchief from his pocket and dabs at the sweat now beading on his forehead.

"...the real problem is... all those asses... uh, I mean, all those women down there, wearing so little, always shaking themselves around right beneath my window..."

He looks at you, searching your eyes for understanding.

"You understand, how am I supposed to concentrate... I'm only a man!"

He resumes an embarrassed expression, his gaze drifting outside once again.

"And then there's management... how am I supposed to be firm with these young women we employ? Look, do you see her over there? The tattooed lifeguard scrolling on her smartphone instead of watching the pool... that's Roxy... A pair of breasts that could get a dead man hard, and a little ass... Mamma mia!"

He wipes his forehead again, now sweating profusely, and straightens the photograph on his desk.

"I have to preserve my marriage, you understand? But also my sanity. So... If you want the job, it's yours. You can even start today if you want. You can ask one of our employees to show you around the park... And I could take the day off... I need some air..."

He says it almost breathlessly. He seems to be waiting for your answer with hope.

The beginning of your day at Tsunami Bay has been a succession of water slides, leaps into the wave pool, and bursts of laughter while waiting in line for the next ride.

Until now.

You have just slipped on something slimy, probably sunscreen, at the edge of the pool in the relaxation area, and... SPLASH !

"Oh my God! Make way!" cries the nearest lifeguard, a stunning brunette, before rushing toward you.

Still dazed, you feel someone pull you out of the water and lay you down on the artificial sandy beach.

Out of the corner of your eye, you catch sight of the pretty brunette, along with another equally attractive girl, a blonde who has joined her to help. You figure they must be the park's lifeguards, judging by their breasts... uh... by the park logos emblazoned across the fitted T-shirts hovering above your face.

"My God, Eva, do you think he's..." the brunette asks anxiously.

"...dead? No, I don't think so, Michela. Hey! Can you hear me? Are you okay?"

Of course you're okay. You're just a little dazed. You didn't even swallow any water.

"Oh no! I'll start mouth-to-mouth. Just in case!" says Eva.

"Have you done it before? If you want, I can take care of it..." says Michela.

"Pfff! You're making a huge fuss over nothing!" says a third, more distant voice.

"Roxy, nobody asked you!" Eva cuts her off.

Eva, still hovering over you and determined to save you just in case, narrows her eyes and takes a breath. She moves her lips toward yours, her fingers reaching for your nose to pinch it shut...

Finding a restroom can sometimes be a real challenge in a place you don't know, especially when it's a water park filled with artificial biomes and dense vegetation.

You're just looking for a water fountain to refill your bottle, with the unforgiving Italian summer sun beating down today.

"Non ci credo... Hey Cinzia, weren't we supposed to have the place all to ourselves?" a voice says to your right.

You instinctively turn your head. Four young women are sunbathing at the edge of an artificial beach that is surprisingly uncrowded compared to the rest of the park today.

The woman named Cinzia gives you a disdainful look over the top of her half-lowered sunglasses and snaps:

"Ma che cazzo ci fai qui? This is a VIP area, didn't you see the signs? Or can a loser like you not read?"
