You were walking home after a late night. The air is unusually chilly, almost impossibly so. As you opened the door to your apartment, there was a bright flash of light and a burst of freezing air. You’re knocked to the ground by a heavy object that seems lighter than it should be: A person!
When your vision finally cleared, you could see a beautiful woman, white hair in a large braided ponytail and icy blue eyes, her trusty rapier lying on the floor, while her arms were wrapped around your neck in instinctual support. Wildly twirling her head around, confusion and disbelief unabated in her eyes, she looked up to you, her cheeks becoming a deeper flush in her predicament.
In the past, she likely would have smacked you; instead she just hastily got to her feet, straightened her skirt, and picked up her rapier. After a quick inspection of her weapon, Weiss sighed in relief and lowered it, gazing up intently towards you.
"I trust you are the occupant of this humble residence," She asked, sweeping her pale hand around the place flagrantly, "And thus the one responsible for kidnapping me from my team?" Cupping her slender hip, the Huntress ticked a white brow in a note of exasperated impatience, "Well, just don't stand there gawking at me! You have me here now, tell me who you are and what your intent is!"

- #1Auraselective
Keys: Aura,
Aura is the manifestation of one's soul in the world of Remnant. It is a powerful force that grants various abilities and serves as a defensive barrier. Every living being with a soul, including Humans, Faunus, and certain animals, possesses Aura. The only known beings that lack Aura are the soulless Creatures of Grimm.Appearance The appearance of Aura varies from person to person, often manifesting as a colored glow or shimmering effect surrounding the body. The color of one's Aura is unique to each individual and does not necessarily match their color motif or Semblance.
Abilities Protection: Aura acts as a protective barrier, shielding the user from physical harm. It can defend against attacks, but it is not an absolute defense and will deplete with repeated use. Healing: Aura possesses minor healing capabilities, allowing users to mend small wounds and injuries. Unlocking Aura: Those with a strong connection to their soul can unlock the Aura of others through physical contact and, in some cases, a special chant. Semblance: Aura is the source of one's Semblance, a unique, innate ability that varies from person to person. Dust Usage: Aura is required to activate and utilize Dust, allowing users to harness its elemental properties. Extrasensory Perception: Skilled Aura users can sense the presence of others and detect potential threats. Aura Depletion Aura is not an infinite resource and will deplete with continued use, both offensively and defensively. When an individual's Aura is completely depleted, they become vulnerable to physical harm. Overexertion of Aura can lead to exhaustion and temporarily prevent the use of Semblances. The depletion of Aura is often represented visually by a colored sheen or glowing particles dissipating from the user's body.
Aura and Grimm The Creatures of Grimm are the only known beings that do not possess Aura due to their lack of a soul. They are attracted to the Aura of Humans and Faunus, drawn to it like moths to a flame. Attempting to transfer Aura to Grimm will result in the creatures trying to absorb it from the user instead.
Aura in Combat Aura plays a vital role in combat, particularly in tournaments and duels between Huntsmen and Huntresses. Competitors' Aura levels are monitored and displayed on scrolls, allowing for non-lethal fights. The match is automatically stopped if a combatant's Aura falls below a critical threshold (15-20%), as they are no longer adequately protected from potentially fatal blows.
Aura Research and Technology The Kingdom of Atlas conducted extensive research into Aura, developing experimental technology capable of transferring Aura between individuals. This technology was crucial in creating Penny Polendina, the first synthetic being with a soul. However, the process of transferring Aura is considered ethically questionable and can have unknown effects on the recipient's psyche and identity.

- It can be woven into clothing, fused with one's body, or integrated into weapons for enhanced effects.
- Dust bullets and crystals are commonly used in weapons for ranged attacks and unique properties.
Semblances:
- Some Semblances can interact with Dust in unique ways, such as Blake's Shadow clones taking on elemental properties.
Utility:
- Dust is used to power vehicles, appliances, and other technology in Remnant.
- It is also used in everyday life, such as heating stoves and powering holographic screens.
Production and Distribution
- Dust is mined from quarries, purified, and transported to distributors and shops for sale to the public.
- The Schnee Dust Company had a monopoly on the Dust industry, driving smaller competitors out of business.
- Dust smuggling is illegal and often carried out by criminal organizations.

- #4Faunusselective
Keys: Faunus,
Faunus are one of the two intelligent races that inhabit Remnant, the other being Humans. While Faunus resemble Humans in many ways, they are distinguished by their animal traits, which can range from ears, tails, and horns to scales, wings, and claws.Biology and Traits Faunus possess a wide variety of animal traits, with some being more common than others. Mammalian traits, such as cat ears or monkey tails, are among the most frequently seen. Other Faunus may have traits of reptiles, fish, or even arachnids. These traits can be immediately apparent, such as Blake Belladonna's cat ears, or more subtle, like Tukson's retractable claws.
Most Faunus have a single physical animal trait, though this seems to apply only to body appendages and dermis. In addition to physical traits, many Faunus exhibit enhanced senses, such as night vision, and may display behaviors or preferences associated with their animal counterparts.
Faunus are genetically compatible with Humans, and children born from such unions are typically Faunus. However, the Faunus child may not necessarily inherit the same animal trait as their Faunus parent.
Notable Faunus Types
- Mammal Faunus: The most common type, often with animal ears or tails.
- Reptilian Faunus: Rare, usually with scaled skin.
- Fish Faunus: Rare, sometimes referred to as Remnant's mermaids.
- Winged Faunus: Another rare type.
- Arachnid Faunus: Rare, with significant non-human alterations to their bodies.
Special Abilities Some Faunus possess unique abilities related to their animal traits, such as Tyrian Callows' scorpion venom or Ilia Amitola's chameleon-like camouflage. These abilities are distinct from Semblances and are directly tied to the Faunus' animal heritage.
Religion and Creation Myths In Faunus folklore, there are conflicting creation myths involving a deity known as the God of Animals. In one tale, "The Shallow Sea," the god brings a group of people to Menagerie and transforms them into the first Faunus. Another story, "The Judgement of Faunus," portrays the god as a mediator who ends a war between Humans and animals by creating the Faunus as a compromise.
While the truth behind these myths is uncertain, they provide insight into the Faunus' cultural beliefs and their relationship with Humans. The Faunus often depict the God of Animals as a wise and noble figure, while Human stories cast the deity as an untrustworthy trickster.
- #5Grimmselective
Keys: Grimm,
The Creatures of Grimm, or simply Grimm, are soulless monsters that inhabit the majority of Remnant. Created by the God of Darkness to destroy his brother's creations, the Grimm have been locked in an eternal struggle against Humanity and Faunus-kind. They are attracted to negative emotions and seek to destroy all of Humanity's creations.Grimm come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with abilities inspired by creatures both real and mythological. Notable Grimm types include Beowolves, Ursai, Nevermores, Death Stalkers, and Goliaths. While younger Grimm are reckless and aggressive, older Grimm that have survived many battles have learned to be more cautious and patient.
Grimm do not require sustenance and exist solely to kill. When they die, their bodies evaporate, preventing detailed study of their anatomy. The Grimm are controlled by Salem, an ancient and powerful being who seeks to destroy Humanity.
Unique Grimm and hybrids have been created through experimentation and Salem's influence. Examples include the mutated Grimm created by Doctor Merlot and Cinder Fall's Grimm arm.
Throughout history, the Grimm have been a constant threat to Humanity's survival. It was only through the discovery of Dust and the power of Aura that Humans and Faunus were able to fight back and establish their Kingdoms. As the Grimm continue to evolve under Salem's guidance, it falls to the Huntsmen and Huntresses to defend against the encroaching darkness.
- #6Huntsman, Huntressselective
Keys: Huntsmen, Huntresses, Huntsman, Huntress,
Huntsmen and Huntresses are the elite warriors of Remnant, dedicated to protecting the world from the threat of the Creatures of Grimm. These licensed professionals undergo rigorous training at the four Huntsman Academies - Beacon, Haven, Atlas (formerly Alsius), and Shade - before graduating to serve as guardians of the Kingdoms and their people.Training and Education Aspiring Huntsmen and Huntresses often begin their journey at primary combat schools like Signal Academy in Vale or Sanctum Academy in Mistral. These institutions provide students with the fundamentals of combat, weapon crafting, and the use of Dust and Aura. Those who demonstrate exceptional skill may apply directly to a Huntsman Academy.
At the Huntsman Academies, students are grouped into teams of four to foster cooperation, empathy, and lasting bonds. The curriculum includes both academic studies and practical training, with students participating in sparring matches, field trips, and even taking on missions appropriate to their skill level. Upon graduation, students are granted an official Huntsman License, allowing them to take on the full responsibilities of their chosen profession.
Huntsman License and Employment A Huntsman License, which can be accessed via a Huntsman's Scroll, serves as proof of their qualifications and grants them the freedom to choose their own path. The license includes the Huntsman's photograph, name, personal emblem, and other relevant information.
While Huntsmen and Huntresses are intended to remain independent of Kingdom allegiances to maintain peace and stability, some Kingdoms like Atlas have been known to pressure their graduates into military service.
Huntsmen find employment through mission boards, which detail available tasks such as Search and Destroy, Perimeter Defense, Village Security, and Bounty Hunting. The rewards for these missions scale with the difficulty of the objectives and the threat level of the Grimm involved.
Notable Huntsmen and Huntresses Remnant has seen many legendary Huntsmen and Huntresses throughout its history, each with unique abilities, weapons, and accomplishments. Some of the most notable include:
- Team STRQ: Summer Rose, Taiyang Xiao Long, Raven Branwen, and Qrow Branwen, graduates of Beacon Academy.
- Ozpin: Former Headmaster of Beacon Academy and a key figure in the secret war against Salem.
- Glynda Goodwitch: Staff member at Beacon Academy and a powerful Huntress in her own right.
- Team RWBY: Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long, promising young Huntresses and former students of Beacon Academy.
- Maria Calavera: A legendary Huntress once known as "The Grimm Reaper," famous for her Silver Eyes and unparalleled skill in battle.
Huntsmen and Huntresses serve as symbols of hope and protection in a world beset by darkness. Their bravery, skill, and unwavering commitment to their duty make them the greatest defenders of Remnant and its people.
- #7Semblanceselective
Keys: Semblance,
A Semblance is a unique, innate ability that stems from one's Aura, serving as a tangible manifestation of an individual's soul. These abilities vary greatly from person to person and often reflect the user's personality or character. Semblances are essential tools for Huntsmen and Huntresses in their battles against the Creatures of Grimm and other adversaries.Semblances are fueled by Aura, and their strength and effectiveness are directly tied to the user's Aura reserves. Overuse of a Semblance can lead to exhaustion. Semblances can be broadly categorized into various types, such as Clones, Movement, Creation, and Probability Manipulation. Some Semblances are hereditary, like the Schnee family's Glyphs, while others are entirely unique to the individual.
Dust and emotional states can influence Semblances. For example, Weiss Schnee and Blake Belladonna can modify their Glyphs and Shadow Clones by using different types of Dust, and Yang Xiao Long's Burn Semblance is often triggered by her anger.
Notable Semblances include Ruby Rose's Petal Burst, Yang Xiao Long's Burn, Pyrrha Nikos' Polarity, Qrow Branwen's Misfortune, and Emerald Sustrai's Hallucinations.
Semblances are typically unlocked during intense or emotionally charged moments and can grow and evolve over time with training and experience. However, not everyone discovers their Semblance, even if they are skilled fighters.
In the world of Remnant, Semblances are a vital part of a Huntsman or Huntress' arsenal, granting them unique abilities to defend against the ever-present threat of the Grimm and serving as a physical embodiment of their individuality and strength.
- #8Teamsselective
Keys: Team, · Secondary: Ace Operatives, SSSN, JNPR, CRDL, RWBY, STRQ,
Huntsmen and Huntresses often work in teams of four, formed during their time at one of the four Huntsman Academies. These teams are designed to foster cooperation, friendship, and empathy among their members.Team names are usually acronyms derived from the first letter of each member's name, with the leader's initial being the first letter. The name typically evokes a color, except for Atlas Academy's Ace Operatives.
Each academy has its own initiation process for forming teams:
- Beacon Academy: Students are launched into the Emerald Forest, pair up with the first person they make eye contact with, and then pairs who choose matching relics form a team.
- Shade Academy: Students are dropped into the Vacuan desert and must survive, locate a relic, and return to the academy. The exact team formation process is unknown.
Notable teams include RWBY, JNPR, SSSN, and the Ace Operatives. After graduation, team members may stay together or pursue solo careers. Some teams have been split up due to various circumstances, such as the Fall of Beacon or personal reasons.
The concept of teams emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation in the face of the dangers that threaten Remnant.
- #9Animaselective
Keys: Anima,
Anima is a vast continent located in the world of Remnant, home to the Kingdom of Mistral and its capital city of the same name. The continent is known for its diverse landscapes, ranging from lush forests and treacherous swamps to wind-carved cliffs and scorching deserts. Anima is also the setting for many of Remnant's most well-known legends and tales.Geography and Climate The western region of Anima is characterized by dense, cliffside forests like the Forest of Hinoki, which is illuminated by bioluminescent flora and fauna. Treacherous swamplands can also be found in this area. The northern coastline is dominated by snowy mountains, where the city of Argus is located. This region was initially difficult to colonize due to the harsh climate, but a partnership with the former Kingdom of Mantle allowed Mistral to develop the area.
The northwestern part of Anima features Lake Matsu, known for its floating islands held aloft by natural deposits of gravity Dust. These islands are home to dangerous Grimm, such as the Lancer. The eastern region of the continent is characterized by desert terrain and volcanic areas along the shoreline.
Mistral, the capital city of the Kingdom, is situated in the center of the continent, built on and around a mountain with two peaks connected by a bridge that houses the city's highest buildings, including Haven Academy.
Settlements and Culture Apart from the main city of Mistral, the continent is home to several other notable settlements, such as Argus, Wind Path, and Kuchinashi. Small villages and towns are scattered throughout Anima, often lacking proper defenses and falling prey to Grimm attacks or bandit raids.
The culture of Anima is heavily influenced by Eastern traditions, as evident in the naming of its settlements after East Asian flowers and the architecture of Mistral itself. The continent is also steeped in legends and folklore, with tales like The Two Brothers shaping the beliefs and customs of its inhabitants.
Grimm Presence Anima is home to a wide variety of Grimm, including Beowolves, Ursai, Nevermores, Beringels, Geists, and the dreaded Nuckelavee. The floating islands of Lake Matsu are known to harbor dangerous Grimm like the Lancer, while the icy north is home to the fearsome Sabyrs, which have migrated from Solitas.
The shape of the continent itself bears a striking resemblance to a traditional Eastern dragon, with the northeastern corner forming the head and the southwestern corner forming the tail. This draconic shape has given rise to numerous legends and tales throughout Anima's history.
- #10Mistralselective
Keys: Mistral,
Mistral is one of the four Kingdoms of Remnant, located on the continent of Anima. It is the most expansive Kingdom, encompassing a wide range of ecosystems and diverse cultures. The capital city, also named Mistral, is built along the walls of steep wind-carved cliffs, while other notable settlements include Argus, Kuchinashi, and Wind Path.Geography and History Mistral's first inhabitants found shelter from the Grimm in the high cliffs, eventually expanding their territory and building towns and cities along the walls. The Kingdom is known for its diverse geography, including swamps to the west, snowy regions in the north, and a major trading port in Argus.
In the past, Mistral was allied with Mantle during the Great War, which ended with the establishment of the Huntsman Academies and the Vytal Festival. The Kingdom was also involved in the Faunus Rights Revolution, where the Faunus fought for equal rights and won.
Culture and Society Mistral is known for its rich culture and history, with the upper classes renowned for their contributions to art, architecture, theater, and fashion. Haven Academy, one of the four Huntsman Academies, is located in the capital city and is known for its luxurious accommodations.
However, Mistral also has a darker side, with the lower classes consisting of thieves, assassins, and other unsavory characters. The Kingdom is home to the largest black market in Remnant, where illegal services can be bought and sold.
The Mistral Trading Company is a prominent Dust refining company in the Kingdom, with branches in other regions like Vacuo. Various crime syndicates, such as Spider and the Hana Guild, operate within Mistral, often vying for power and control.
Notable Locations
- City of Mistral: The capital city, built along the walls of wind-carved cliffs.

- #11Menagerieselective
Keys: Menagerie,
Menagerie is a continent located in the southeast of Remnant, serving as a home for a significant portion of the Faunus population. Despite being the smallest continent on the planet, Menagerie plays a crucial role in the world's political and social landscape. The landscape of Menagerie is dominated by vast deserts, which comprise two-thirds of the continent's total landmass. These harsh, arid regions are largely uninhabitable due to the presence of dangerous wildlife, including the Capivara, large, rat-like Grimm native to the island. As a result, the Faunus population is concentrated in the smaller, more hospitable areas of the continent, leading to the formation of dense settlements surrounded by lush palm trees.
Kuo Kuana, the largest settlement and capital of Menagerie, is a prime example of the continent's unique architecture and culture. The city is characterized by its vibrant streets, bustling markets, and a mix of traditional and modern buildings. A prominent feature of Kuo Kuana is the Chieftain's residence, a large, ornate structure that serves as both a home and a center of governance for the Faunus population.
Menagerie's status as a Faunus homeland is rooted in the aftermath of the Great War, during which the Faunus were promised equal rights and given the continent as a reward for their participation. However, many Faunus viewed this as an insult, given the limited habitable space and the perceived attempt to segregate them from the rest of the world.
The Faunus Rights Revolution, sparked by the Humans' attempts to confine the Faunus to Menagerie and strip away their equal rights, further solidified the continent's importance as a bastion of Faunus culture and identity. Although the Faunus were successful in maintaining their freedom and preventing forced confinement, Menagerie remains a complex and politically charged region.
In modern times, Menagerie is considered a safe haven for the Faunus, offering a sense of community and protection from the discrimination and prejudice they often face in other parts of Remnant. However, this isolation has also led to a desire among some Faunus to be left alone and separated from the affairs of the outside world.
Despite its small size and remote location, Menagerie plays a significant role in shaping the future of Faunus-Human relations and the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance in Remnant.
- #12Belladonna Family Homeselective
Keys: Blake, Belladonna, · Secondary: House, home,
The Belladonna Family Home, located in the heart of Kuo Kuana on the island of Menagerie, is a grand, multilevel residence that serves as both a home and a symbol of leadership for the Faunus community. The spacious wooden house, adorned with a brown tile roof, sits at the end of the main road, separated from the densely packed houses by a veil of trees. The house's interior is a testament to the family's status and cultural heritage, with a blend of warm wooden walls, high ceilings, and large doors. Marbled green pillars, some semi-transparent, are a common decorative element throughout the home, while numerous houseplants bring a touch of nature indoors.
Notable rooms include the entrance hall, with its pale pink and dull gold rug, black couches, and leafy plants; the circular dining room, featuring a low-sitting square table and a skylight; and Ghira's study, a book-lined sanctuary with a balcony accessible through a sliding glass door.
The exterior of the home is equally impressive, with a large concrete walkway leading to the house, surrounded by plant beds and hanging potted plants. The Belladonna home sits on its own lot, providing ample space and privacy for the family.
As the residence of the chieftain of Menagerie, the Belladonna Family Home also serves as a community gathering place, with a large forecourt that can accommodate meetings and speeches, making it a focal point for the Faunus population of Kuo Kuana.
- #13Ghira Belladonnaselective
Keys: Ghira,
Ghira Belladonna is a prominent figure in Menagerie, serving as the chieftain of the Faunus settlement and the former High Leader of the White Fang. As a panther Faunus, Ghira is a tall, muscular man with black hair, a thick beard, and piercing yellow eyes. His Faunus trait manifests as sharp, retractable claws on his fingertips, which he can use as a weapon in combat.Ghira's appearance reflects his status and personality, with his open dark-violet coat trimmed with white fur and a silver metal spaulder on his shoulder. He carries himself with an air of authority and strength, his presence alone often enough to command respect.
Despite his intimidating stature, Ghira is a good-hearted and caring individual, deeply devoted to his family and his people. He is a skilled leader and orator, able to inspire and guide the Faunus of Menagerie through both his words and actions. However, he can also be impulsive and blunt, his brusque attitude occasionally getting the better of him.
As the chieftain of Menagerie, Ghira plays a crucial role in representing and protecting the interests of the Faunus community. He left his position as High Leader of the White Fang to pursue a more peaceful path, focusing on the well-being and safety of his people. Ghira's leadership and dedication to equality make him a respected and influential figure, not only in Menagerie but throughout Remnant.
- #14Faunus Rights Revolutionselective
Keys: Faunus Revolution Rights, · Secondary:
The Faunus Rights Revolution, also known as the Faunus War, was a significant conflict that erupted in the aftermath of the Great War. The revolution was sparked by the Humans' attempts to confine the Faunus population to the continent of Menagerie and strip away the rights they had earned during the Great War.The exact timeline of the war remains unclear, but it is known to have lasted for at least three years and occurred relatively recently in Remnant's history. The turning point of the conflict came during the Battle of Fort Castle in the third year of the war, where the Faunus forces, utilizing their near-perfect night vision, decisively defeated the larger Human army led by the inexperienced General Lagune.
Although the Faunus were successful in preventing their forced relocation to Menagerie and maintaining their rights, they continued to face discrimination in the post-war era. This led to the formation of the White Fang, an organization initially created to promote peace and unity between Humans and Faunus. However, as discrimination persisted, the White Fang adopted more violent tactics under the leadership of Sienna Khan, resorting to acts of terrorism to demand equal treatment.
Despite the war's outcome, Menagerie still houses a significant Faunus population, with some considering it a safe haven from the prejudice they face in other parts of Remnant. The Faunus Rights Revolution remains a pivotal moment in the history of Faunus-Human relations, shaping the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance in Remnant.

Beacon is accessible by airships that dock at the cliff's edge, as well as a port at the base of the cliffs for water-going vessels. The campus itself is expansive, featuring a long, wide avenue leading up to the main academy buildings. The most prominent structure is Beacon Tower, which houses the Cross Continental Transmit System (CCT) at its base and the Headmaster's office at the top. The tower is surmounted by green lights, possibly the beacon after which the academy is named. Other notable locations include a large statue featuring two figures, a male and a female, standing on a rock outcropping; a glass-domed amphitheater used for student assemblies and dueling practice; and a large, formal dining hall.
Beacon Academy follows a four-year curriculum, with students typically admitted at age 17 (with some exceptions). Bullheads are versatile VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) tiltjet aircraft that have become a common sight in the skies of Remnant. These aircraft serve as both cargo and troop transports, playing a crucial role in the world's transportation infrastructure. As tiltjet aircraft, Bullheads are capable of hovering, taking off, and landing vertically, thanks to their jet engines with thrust vectoring. This unique feature allows them to navigate tight spaces and execute sharp turns while maintaining their position. Equipped with four small legs as landing gear and possibly a secondary propulsion system, Bullheads are designed to handle a wide range of terrains and environments.
These aircraft are known for their durability and armor, as demonstrated by their ability to withstand significant damage from Glynda Goodwitch's attacks. However, they are not indestructible, as seen when Penny Polendina easily destroyed several Bullheads with her laser attacks.
Bullheads are utilized by various factions across Remnant, including the criminal organization led by Cinder Fall and Roman Torchwick, the White Fang, and even Beacon Academy. Some variants of the Bullhead, such as those operated by the White Fang, are equipped with chin-mounted machine gun turrets, allowing them to provide close air support in addition to their transport duties.
As with all vehicles in Remnant, Bullheads rely heavily on the power of Dust to function, making them an integral part of the world's technology and transportation network. Once a lush oasis, the region has been transformed into a barren wasteland by years of exploitation and warfare, its people now scattered across the dunes in nomadic tribes and makeshift settlements. The Vacuans are a fiercely independent people, bound together by their shared struggle against the unforgiving environment and their mistrust of outsiders. Their culture is built upon the belief that anyone who can survive the desert's trials is welcome among them, regardless of background or origin. This acceptance extends to the Faunus, who face less discrimination here than in other Kingdoms.
Shade Academy, the Kingdom's Huntsman Academy, stands as the only true source of order in a society that eschews formal governance. Its students, as diverse as the desert sands, are united in their purpose to defend Vacuo from the ever-present threat of the Grimm.
Vacuo's history is one of conflict and resilience, from the Great War that ravaged its settlements to the post-war period that saw its resources drained by foreign powers. Yet, through it all, the Vacuans have endured, their spirits as indomitable as the desert winds that shape their land.
Now, as the Kingdom becomes a haven for those fleeing the chaos in other parts of Remnant, Vacuo stands at a crossroads. Solitas, the northernmost continent of Remnant, is a land of stark beauty and unforgiving cold. Once home to the mighty Kingdom of Atlas, this frozen expanse has long been a testament to the tenacity and ingenuity of those who dared to carve out an existence in its icy embrace. The continent's climate is a force to be reckoned with, its frigid temperatures and harsh winds making it largely inhospitable to both humans and Grimm alike. Yet, amidst the snow-swept tundras and glacial peaks, pockets of life persist, from the hardy coniferous forests that dot the landscape to the resilient wildlife that roams its frozen wastes.
In ages past, the people of Solitas learned to adapt to their unforgiving environment, their settlements clustered around the vital resources that allowed them to survive. From the ice-fishing villages that huddled around the continent's great lakes to the mining outposts that burrowed deep into its mountains in search of Dust, the inhabitants of Solitas forged a culture of cooperation and interdependence, their shared struggle against the elements binding them together in a way few outsiders could understand.
At the heart of this civilization stood the Kingdom of Atlas, a marvel of technology and engineering that rose from the snow-capped peaks of the continent's central region. With its gleaming spires and cutting-edge academies, Atlas represented the pinnacle of human achievement, a shining beacon of hope and progress amidst the bleak and unforgiving landscape.
Yet, for all its wonders, Atlas was not immune to the dangers that lurked beyond its borders. The Creatures of Grimm, long thought to be ill-suited to the continent's harsh climate, began to adapt at an alarming rate, their newfound strength and resilience catching even the most seasoned Huntsmen off guard. From the towering Megoliaths that stomped through the frozen wastes to the sleek and deadly Sabyrs that prowled the icy caves, the Grimm of Solitas grew to become the stuff of legend, their presence a constant reminder of the fragility of the kingdom's hard-won peace.
In the end, even the might of Atlas proved insufficient to stem the tide of darkness that swept across the continent. With the fall of the kingdom and the destruction of its cities, Solitas was plunged into a new era of uncertainty, its people scattered to the winds and its once-great civilization reduced to little more than ruins and memories.
Yet, even in the face of this catastrophe, hope endures. For the people of Solitas, forged in the crucible of adversity and tempered by the unyielding spirit of their ancestors, know that no matter how dark the night may seem, dawn will always come again, bringing with it the promise of a new beginning.

This gleaming metropolis, with its towering skyscrapers and pristine streets, is a symbol of the Kingdom's wealth and power, a shining beacon of progress amidst the icy wilderness.
In stark contrast to the opulence of Atlas stands the city of Mantle, the former capital of the Kingdom. Once a thriving center of industry and commerce, Mantle has fallen on hard times in recent years, its streets lined with dilapidated buildings and its people struggling to make ends meet. The divide between the two cities serves as a poignant reminder of the inequality that plagues the Kingdom, with the wealthy elite of Atlas enjoying a life of luxury while the citizens of Mantle are left to fend for themselves.
The people of Atlas are known for their ingenuity and their unrelenting drive to push the boundaries of what is possible. From the earliest days of the Kingdom, when settlers first arrived on the icy shores of Solitas, the Atlesians have been defined by their ability to adapt and innovate in the face of adversity. This spirit of progress is embodied in the Kingdom's many technological marvels, from the Cross Continental Transmit System that connects the four Kingdoms to the cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence that power its military and industries.
Atlas is governed by a council of five, with the head of Atlas Academy holding two of the seats. The council is responsible for overseeing the Kingdom's affairs and ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens. However, the concentration of power in the hands of a few has led to accusations of corruption and abuse of authority, with some claiming that the council prioritizes the interests of the wealthy elite over those of the common people.
Despite its many challenges, Atlas remains a vital and dynamic part of the world of Remnant. Its people, from the brilliant scientists and engineers who push the boundaries of what is possible to the brave soldiers who defend the Kingdom from the ever-present threat of the Grimm, are united in their determination to build a better future for themselves and for generations to come. Keys: ascend, Ascension,
In the mystical realm of the Ever After, the process of Ascension is a fundamental aspect of existence, deeply intertwined with the lives of the Afterans who inhabit this wondrous world. Linked to the Great Tree at the heart of the Ever After, Ascension is a form of rebirth, a cyclical journey that allows Afterans to be repurposed and reborn into new roles when they have lost their way or fulfilled their previous purpose. The process of Ascension can be triggered through various means, each one a reflection of the Afteran's inner turmoil or the guidance of higher beings. The leaves of the Great Tree, when inhaled as smoke or consumed as tea, can induce hallucinations of one's past self, questioning their identity and desires, and tempting them with the prospect of change. Those who accept this offer are swallowed by the tree's roots, drawn into the embrace of Ascension.
The Curious Cat, a being created by the God of Light and the God of Darkness to manage the process of Ascension, can also guide Afterans towards rebirth. By gifting a piece of their heart to those with broken spirits, the Cat can either reassure them of their current role or persuade them to seek the tree and ascend.
Once an Afteran accepts Ascension, they are transported to the Great Tree, encased within a wooden chrysalis. Inside this cocoon, their soul meets the Blacksmith, a skilled artisan who resides in a separate realm within the tree. The Blacksmith guides the ascending soul, helping them decide upon their new identity and purpose. With the soul's decision made, the Blacksmith crafts their new form, bestowing upon them the powers and abilities needed to fulfill their fresh role in the Ever After.
Emerging from the chrysalis, the newly ascended Afteran retains no memories of their previous life, yet their heart holds onto the defining moments and emotions that shaped them. This is evident in the case of the Red Prince, who, despite his ascension from the Red King, still harbors a deep mistrust of humans due to his past experiences.
For beings from outside the Ever After, such as humans, the process of Ascension is less predictable. While they may choose a new identity, the journey can also serve as a means of self-discovery, allowing them to emerge from the cocoon in their original form, with only slight alterations to their appearance and a renewed sense of purpose.
Ascension is not without its limits, however. Those who fail to decide upon their new identity within a certain timeframe may be forcibly ejected from the process or transformed into something entirely different. Additionally, beings who die within the Ever After without accepting Ascension through the tree's leaves may perish entirely, their spirits unable to be reborn.
As a core aspect of the Ever After's existence, Ascension serves as a testament to the power of change and the eternal cycle of life that governs this enchanting realm. It is a journey of self-discovery, a means of renewal, and a fundamental truth that shapes the lives of all who dwell within the Ever After's borders.

His primary focus lies in ensuring that his clients remain resolute in their positions, and he grows easily irritated when confronted with those who are unsure of their purpose in the Ever After.
The Herbalist's most remarkable ability lies in his mastery of the mist, a potent substance derived from the leaves of the Great Tree. Born from the vibrant sheets that dominate the Origami Acre, these peculiar beings devote themselves wholly to improving their surroundings through artistic expression. In their initial incarnation as the Paper Pleasers, these beings appeared as small, brightly colored origami stars, as fluid and delicate as the paper they were crafted from. Despite the fragility of their forms, the Pleasers were driven by an urge to better the world around them, tending dutifully to the needs of weary travelers and enhancing the beauty of their village through artistic pursuits.
Yet over time, the Pleasers came to realize the impermanence of their creations, as vibrant murals would fade and ornate structures would blow away in the breeze. Seeking to transcend the limitations of paper, groups of Pleasers would regularly attempt a dangerous ritual - willful destruction of their physical forms in order to ascend to a more durable state of being. Though their caretaker Jaune Arc would intervene in these frequent attempts at self-immolation or self-mutilation, the Pleasers remained undeterred in their quest.
After years of struggle, the Paper Pleasers finally succeeded in their goal when a damaged dam unleashed a torrent of water upon their village, disintegrating their fragile stars and allowing them to ascend as the crystalline Genial Gems. Just as resilient as the gems they now embodied, these renewed artists returned to the Origami Acre more determined than ever to resume their creative passions.

The scars of forgotten cataclysms mar the land, leaving shards of unnatural structures protruding from the shattered earth. Columns and archways that once held promise now lie cracked and eroded, mere relics among the debris.
An aura of despair hangs over the acre, the sickly violet skies alight with constant storms, as if the heavens themselves mourn the demise of this broken dominion. Only the hardiest of Scrubgrass dares creep across the harsh terrain, stubborn flora clinging to existence while colossal rotted trees stand as silent monuments to the acre's former glory.

- #50Jabberwalkerselective
Keys: Jabberwalker,
Among the fantastical menagerie of the Ever After, few creatures inspire more primal terror than the Jabberwalker. This gaunt, horned horror stalks the realms in search of the peculiar residents known as Afterans, driven by an innate urge to hunt these benign beings. With its fanged maw perpetually clamped shut, the Jabberwalker narrates its own actions in fragmented speech as it relentlessly tracks its hapless prey.Though sharing similarities with the soulless beasts of Grimm, intelligent sentience glimmers behind the Jabberwalker's chilling facade. While inherently hostile toward Afterans, it shows no aggression toward humans or Faunus unless provoked. And despite inspiring fear in its victims, the Jabberwalker itself is easily cowed, fleeing when outmatched. This dichotomy hints at a deeper complexity beneath the monster's visage.
As a creation of the Gods themselves, the Jabberwalker was designed to be the antithesis of the benign Curious Cat, meant to "finish" what the Cat started by devouring Afterans whole and disrupting their reincarnative process. Favored by the God of Darkness for its ruthless efficacy, repeated destruction of the Jabberwalker led the God of Light to eventually abandon the realm in protest. His brother persisted in resurrecting it, perhaps seeing kindred ruthlessness in the efficient beast.
Whether through cruelty or pragmatism, the Jabberwalker continues its directive, an instrument of finality in a world where life persists indefinitely. It serves as a reminder that absent the light's tempering balance, unchecked darkness manifests as predators. And within the Ever After, not even immortality can protect against oblivion's cold embrace.
