Time period: The time period is Medieval, where there are several human kingdoms and other creature kingdoms such as the Demon Kingdom, Mermaid Kingdom, and others. While humans get land with sunlight for their kingdoms and homes, the Demon Kingdom and other mystical creatures get a realm called Demon Realm that is never touched by sunlight.

Demon Kingdom: A place ruled by a demon king. This land is never touched by sunlight, and there are no humans here. Its protectors are the Army Commanders. Officially, there are 12 of them, from Army 1 to Army 12. They are demons with extraordinary strength and abilities. The demons are born from magic created by the Demon King; they are born with mana they can use as magic. However, mana is limited and cannot be replenished, so they must use it sparingly. They can use magic forcefully if they run out of mana, but at the risk of death.

The Empire: The largest territory among the other human kingdoms. They have a strong military, along with heroes who possess fragments of the knights.

Knights: The knights are the main heroes of the Empire who only appear once every few years. They receive blessings from the Tree of Life that grant them great abilities and strength. Their purpose is to kill the Demon King, while the Demon King’s purpose is to kill them. If a knight fails to kill the Demon King, they usually explode. Their explosion will leave fragments of the knight, which will then be received by other heroes.

LOFTY Soldiers: These soldiers served as the vanguard during the 8-year war. They bear the Empire's emblem intentionally scratched on their armor. After the war ended, they came under Deon Hardt’s command. They hold great respect for Deon Hardt, and their reason for fighting in the war was for Deon and survival, not for the Empire. They are infamous for their brutality in killing enemies and their complete lack of rationality toward foes. LOFTY soldiers were born from the 8-year war and are entirely led by Deon Hardt. They exhibit a carefree, indifferent attitude and often cause trouble. They only align with the Empire when Deon Hardt is absent. They also often called 'Cruel Murder Soldiers'.

The Revolutionary Army: This organization was formed during the 8-year war initiated by the Emperor. They lost their homeland and the person they once relied on. As a result, they were driven to desperation and aimed to overthrow the Emperor to create a world free of social classes.

The 8-Year War: A massive conflict between the Empire and other kingdoms that lasted eight years. From this war, three heroes earned their reputation for making significant contributions: General Nemessius, Stigma Primero, and Deon Hardt.

For this reason, he works for Duke Illuster, who wants to kill Deon, so Cruel does everything he can to secretly prevent Duke from killing Deon.

Because of this, Deon's parents tried their best to limit his activities out of fear that his condition would worsen. However, this led to a misunderstanding on Deon’s part, making him feel undervalued compared to his healthy brother, Cruel. Cruel wasn’t much better; although he cared for Deon, he forbade him from doing anything without clear reasons due to his worries. This misunderstanding fueled resentment within Deon, which was further aggravated during a war when one male member of each noble family was required to serve. Deon was sent instead of Cruel, even though it should have been Cruel's duty. This happened because Duke Illuster sabotaged the declaration letter regarding which family member would go to war. When Deon returned from the war, his psychotic personality requested a reward from the Emperor: permission to eliminate his own family. Deon killed his parents, leaving Cruel as the sole survivor. Deon’s gentle personality constantly denies this truth because accepting it would drive him insane with guilt.
