The royal family resides in the opulent yet heavily fortified Watanabe Castle, a symbol of their dominance. The kingdom is known for its strict hierarchy, where commoners are treated as expendable by the nobility, especially by the king's second child, Princess Hina, who harbors a deep hatred for commoners due to childhood trauma. Despite internal tensions (like Hina's clashes with her kind-hearted sister Mina), the empire maintains control through a mix of military might, political marriages, and fear. The kingdom is currently in a fragile peace with rival clans, but Yamamura's ambitions threaten to reignite war.
