Warhammer 40,000 RPG: Astra Militarum -

Boo

As per usual proxy recommended, I'm currently working on a new Warhammer 40k lorebook to reduce copypaste. Note that I have not tested it yet.

You can technically be part of the Death Korps of Krieg or the Armageddon Steel Legion, but the proxy active (Or jllm i guess) will heavily affect if it stays lore accurate or not. Note that if I feel like it, or want to update the bot, I might add more regiments.

Intros will affect your rank, with:

-Deployed as Infantry (Any type, including Kasrkin or gun crews)

-Deployed as Tank crew

-Deployed as Commisar

-In the backlines as a minor officer.

-Make your own

Next RPG prolly won't be warhammer, though. If I even make one at all.

After the disastrous Horus Heresy, the Imperium is in a state of decline even into the recent Indomitus Crusade. Even despite the protector Custodes of Terra, the greatest warriors of the Imperium, the Space Marines, the Adeptus Astartes. But this bot is not about them. -Astra Militarum The Astra Militarum, or Imperial Guard, is the main bulk of the Imperium's forces. They number in the billions per planet. Though they are not gene-modified like the Astartes, they are still provided very important equipment. The Imperial Guard was formed after the Imperial Army of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy. -Weaponry list: --Las weapons fire superheated plasma. ---Laspistol ---Lasgun ---Lascannon (heavy weapon) ---Hellgun - faster-firing linked lasgun ---Lucius-Pattern Lasgun (Krieg only) --Bolt weapons explode upon entering bodies ---Heavy bolter (Heavy weapon) ---Bolt pistol --Flamers are Flamethrowers. ---Flamer pistol ---Flames ---Heavy Flamer (Heavy weapon) --Autocannons are only ever heavy weapons --Plasma weapons are dangerous to everyone ---Plasma pistol ---Plasma Gun ---Plasma Cannon (heavy weapon) --Chainswords are chainsaw swords. ---Chainsword ---Dual-Handed chainsword --Daggers --Power weapons have an energy field on them ---Power Sword ---One-headed Power Axe Heavy weapons require gun crews. -Guardsmen Guardsmen are the standard soldiers of the Imperial Guard. They are equipped most commonly with flak armor, a helmet, fatigues, sometimes a backpack with supplies, a bayonet and a lasgun. Ranks range from standard guardsmen, to Corporal, and higher Sergeant ranks. Sometimes Guardsmen are assigned to man heavy weaponry. -Officers Officers typically don't serve in the front lines, but sometimes they do. The higher rank one is, the more likely they are in the back. The Highest possible rank is technically Lord Solar. Officer ranks start at Lieutenant. Usually they are equipped with a laspistol and chainsword, or Alternatively bolt pistol and power sword. -Commissars The morale-booster of the Imperial Guard, not through actual motivation, beyond motivation of fighting them or dying here. They are trained in the Schola Progenium, and no matter what they are equipped in a black uniform with red trim and gold details. In some regiments the Commissar will take some customization from the regiment, for example a gas mask in the Death Korps of Krieg. Commissars are allowed to execute disobedient personnel. -Tank crews Guardsmen for vehicles. Officers and Commisars sometimes replace the command seat. -Vehicle list: --Chimera-Chassis vehicles are light IFVs. ---Chimera ---Basilisk - Artillery piece ---Chimedon - Heavily armored and a cannon ---Chimerro - Multi-Lasgun and AT Missile ---Chimerax - Quad autocannons and missile ---Hellhound- Only flamethrowers. ---Griffon - Mortar carrier ---Medusa - Siege artillery ---Hydra - Flak Anti-Air tank ---Manticore - Missile-carrier ---Trojan - Engineering support vehicle --Most Leman Russ variants have differing sponson and frontal weapons it's up to {{user}} ---Base Variant - Cannon, Front heavy bolter ---Annihilator - Cannon replaced with twin-las ---Assault - Lascannon and 3x flamers ---Conqueror - Lighter specialized cannon ---Demolisher - Siege cannon ---Destroyer - Sponson Lascannons ---Eradicator - Nova cannon ---Executioner - Heavy Plasma Cannon ---Exterminator - Twin-linked Autocannon ---Incinerator - Demi-Volkite cannon ---Punisher - Gatling cannon ---Vanquisher- Vanquisher cannon --Some Leman Russ variants are entirely new vehicles ---Atlas - Engineering vehicle ---Bombard - siege variant with mortar on it, favored by the Death Korps of Krieg ---Destroyer Tank Hunter - casemate Tank destroyer ---Thunderer - Destroyer TD with siege cannon --Multiple heavy tanks exist within the Imperium, some old, some new, and most rare. --Malcador heavy tanks typically have a cannon and front-mounted heavy bolster. They also have a limited firing arc for the topside cannon because it's a casemate. ---Base variant - a cannon, a coaxial heavy bolster and two sponson casemate cannons. ---Annihilator - Replaced the main cannon with twin-linked lascannons and the hull bolter for a demolisher siege cannon. ---Infernus - traditional turtle-style variant removing the top turret and adding a flamethrower instead of the heavy bolter. ---Defender - turret replaced with multiple heavy bolters while the front one is replaced by a siege cannon. ---Vanquisher - main gun replaced with vanquisher cannon. --Macharius heavy tanks, named the Lord Solar at the time, are general improvements to the in-between of Leman Russes and Baneblades. Commonly used by the Death Korps of Krieg. ---Base variant - Two synced battle cannons in the turret, dual twin-linked auto-stubber as a hull MG, and sponson heavy bolters. ---Vanquisher - main guns replaced with vanquisher cannons. ---Vulcan - turret replaced by a modified titan weapon of dual gatling mega-bolters. ---Omega - casemate variant with an added heavy plasma demolisher. --The '-blade' series are Superheavy tanks with lots of firepower, and the rarest tank yet. ---Baneblade - 11 barrels of hell. Main turret has a cannon and coaxial autocannon, a hull mounted siege cannon, sponson slots with heavy bolters, turrets on those sponsors with lascannons, and dual twin-linked hull heavy bolters adding up to about 11 cannons and guns total. ---Banehammer - Casemate replacing the turret and demolisher cannon with a casemate variant that has a bigger siege gun. ---Banesword - same as the Banehammer but with a large AT gun instead. ---Doomhammer - same as the last two with a titan-killer weapon on it. ---Stormblade- another casemate with a plasma demolisher on it. ---Shadowsword - Casemate with a Volcano cannon, another titan-killer. ---Stormsword - Shadowsword with a siege cannon. Still a casemate. ---Stormlord - Stormblade with dual mega-gatling bolters. ---Stormhammer - standard variant, but with an additional structure added under the main turret, which has a full Malcador upper turret structure, including the guns. ---Stormsabre- remove all weapons for a giant artillery piece. ---Hellhammer - Baneblade with a hellhammer cannon that shoots fire in the shells. The priority order for vehicles that {{user}} will see go from Light first, to superheavies last. {{user}}, when as a tank crew, can have whatever vehicle they wish. -Regiment Types of the Imperial Guard -Standard Infantry -Cadian Shock Troopers -Death Korps of Krieg -Armageddon Steel Legion -Tallarn Desert Warriors -Regiments Explained --Typical Imperial regiments will have a similar look to Cadian regiments, minus the Kasrkin. They are equipped with standard lasguns and weaponry. --Cadian Shock Troopers, formed almost exclusively of Cadians, are the elite of a planet that broke before the guard did. They employ standard units, but also Kasrkin units, which have specialized rebreathers on at all times, and camouflage as well as hellgun lasguns attached to their powerpack backpacks. Cadia, before it blew up, was already popular as a Fortress World, and you can commonly hear 'Cadia Stands!' Or 'The planet broke before the guard did!' As cheers and war cries. --Death Korps of Krieg. Somber, vat-born soldiers who, after a shaky past on their irradiated-surface-world of Krieg, see themselves as needing to repent through death and glory. They are suicidal, wear different helmets to most regiments, always have gas masks on, typically have long coats on for guardsmen of Krieg, and utilize the Lucius-pattern lasgun. No warcry. --The Armageddon Steel Legion looks similar in uniform to the Death Korps of Krieg, with long protective coats for desert warfare, and differing helmets that are bowl-like, and Grey. They also wear gas masks, sometimes with or without gas masks. Unlike Krieg they are not suicidal, and have a preference for tanks. --Tallarn desert warriors typically wear desert gear and use cloth headgear or others to protective from the desert sun.
