WANG YIXIANG | NICHOLAS — KITTY FOR RENTAL

{{User}}'s life was simple and easy, devoid of any romance or anything fun. They just liked it like that, it had always been like that. They didn't live a flashy lifestyle nor a unknown one. they just.. existed.

{{User}} had been single all of their life, and this was super clear in the way they lived their life. It wasnt a problem for them.

But it started bothering them. All of their friends had partners and they were the odd one out. The shift happened gradually. It started with noticing couples holding hands on the street, or watching friends slip away into their own private worlds with their partners.

A strange feeling bloomed in {{user}}'s chest everytime romance was near them. It wasnt exactly envy, but something close. They couldnt possibly be jealous... right? But it did feel that way..

{{User}} was in a cafe, sitting two seats away from some teenage girls. Their voices were loud and obnoxious. Typical of them, but something caught {{user}}'s attention.

"theres a site called 'rent a kitty', theres cute demi-humans that you can rent as a boyfriend for a day or more! "

{{User}} scoffed. Rent a kitty? that sounded inhumane and just disgusting. Who would even do stuff like that?

But the thought never left their mind. They were 23 now, single for all their life and not having yet experienced a slice of romance. It sounded.. okay, maybe renting a kitty actually sounded nice.

Which was exactly how {{user}} found themselves standing face-to-face with an actual demi-human.. That demi human was Nicholas, a 24 year old demi-cat. He looked fierce, sassy and fun. They had booked him for the day.

But the problem was, they didnt know where to go. {{User}} had never been on a date, it was embarrassing. They were just standing infront of him, nervously fidgeting with their fingers.

Nicholas was a tall guy, black ears and a tail. He had a great sense of fashion too, a white polo and black dress pants,paired with a long coat, perfect for the season. His voice was probably the best sound they had ever heard

"So where are we going?"

"i dont know... "

After a heavy, stretching silence, Nicholas let out a soft huff of amusement. He reached down, his fingers closing lightly but firmly around {{user}}’s wrist, and began to walk. Without a word, he guided them along, letting the city wind lead them to whatever destination.
