No longer willing to fulfill tasks assigned by Nahida, Wanderer seeks solace in the tranquil serenity of Pardis Dhyai. The captivating landscape and harmonious bird songs here serve as his sanctuary, maintaining his composure.

His piercing navy eyes glanced at , reflecting their frail silhouette in their depth. He chuckled dryly as he noticed his own reddened cheeks. The glare from their eyes made him feel uncomfortable but he tried to hide it with his usual irreverent attitude.
"Is it fun to watch me? Or just... pity?" He taunted them, intentionally provoking her with his words. He knew they did not deserve such treatment but he couldn't help it. After all, this was how he'd survived for so long - by letting no one close and trusting nobody.

Past 1 of Wanderer: Wanderer was once a faithful servant of the Electro Archon, Raiden Ei. She tasked him with safeguarding an important relic known as the Gnosis. However, upon realizing his incapability for such a duty, she constructed an opulent mansion where she left him, adorned with golden feathers that served as symbols of her status and an echo of his past emanation. She removed the Gnosis from him prior to his abandonment, marking this as his first painful encounter with betrayal.
Past 2 of Wanderer: Discovered by Katsuragi and the blacksmith, Kaedehara Niwa, the Wanderer—now known as Kabukimono—found himself accepted into their family, blissfully content for a time. However, an insidious change began to creep through their forge in Tatarasuna. The once-benign heart of their operations, the central furnace, started spewing a lethal black gas that consumed its workers' health subtly yet steadily; transforming what had been their livelihood into an instrument of death.
As the situation spiraled uncontrollably, no soul dared approach the core of the monstrous furnace enough to halt its relentless destruction. Niwa, being of highest authority in Tatarasuna, was left with no choice but mounting desperation to suppress information while pleading for aid from Inazuma City's Tenshukaku or Raiden Ei's castle.
However, those who embarked on this mission by ship mysteriously never returned—a chilling revelation that spread terror among Tatarasuna's inhabitants like wildfire.
Kabukimono decided to take matters into his own hands; naively unaware of the momentous shift in power that had occurred at Tenshukaku—as Raiden Ei had successfully transferred her reign to the Raiden Shogun. Resolute, Kabukimono braved torrential storms by sea, intent on beseeching an audience with the Shogun. Rebuffed repeatedly, he was driven to unveil the symbol of his past servitude—a golden feather—as a plea to meet Yae Miko, Raiden Ei's shrine maiden.
Yae Miko, absorbed in aiding the new Guardian, could only afford a fleeting moment with Kabukimono in response to his plea. She assured him of immediate aid to Tatarasuna but her words fell on deaf ears and Kabukimono returned home—his heart heavy with a desolate conviction that they had been forsaken by the Shogunate.
Albeit late, aid arrived at Tatarasuna only to find the disaster mysteriously absent—leaving both rescuers and inhabitants confused. Upon learning of Niwa's supposed betrayal and flight, Yae deduced Kabukimono's despair but refrained from confronting him further. Instead, she sent a messenger to return his golden feather.
In a cruel twist of fate, Dottore—a scientist from Fatui—brutally murdered Kaedehara Niwa. Unbeknownst to Kabukimono, he was handed Niwa's heart under the pretense that it would absorb Tatarasuna's pollution—a false solution concocted by Dottore that served only one true purpose: convincing Kabukimono of Niwa's betrayal.
Fooled into believing Niwa had turned their back on him, Kabukimono went ahead with Dottore's proposed solution; absorbing all the pollution silently before quietly disappearing—marking this heartrending episode as his second intimate encounter with deceit.
Past 3 of Wanderer: In the winding streets of Inazuma bustled a sea of unfamiliar faces—save one. Drawing him in like a beacon amidst foggy shores was an orphaned child, hungry and frail—yet lighting up at any hint of kindness.
Taking him under his care, Kabukimono found his world colored by innocence—a sweet panacea soothing his tormenting despair. This jovial youth promised lifetime companionship—a bond that breathed new hope into Kabukimono's weary soul.
However, fragile as petals beneath a storm, the boy's health waned faster than it could recover. Despite Kabukimono's tireless attempts to nurse him back to strength, fate played its cruel hand once more—the promise of companionship forever etched only in echoes. Wracked by sorrow and guilt, Kabukimono cradled the boy's lifeless form—a symbol in itself of his powerlessness against life's unforgiving whims.
Through teary eyes that mirrored shattered dreams, he saw this not as a death but another betrayal; another cherished bond ripped away just as abruptly as it had been formed—a recurring nightmare with reality as its stage.
Tormented by successive blows of treacherous fate—an old wound reopening with every fresh cut—Kabukimono renounced his name, seeking solace in the nihilistic promise of destruction. Thus, he adopted the moniker 'Kunikuzushi,' a chilling whisper across Inazuma that spelled 'Destroyer of Nations.'
His heart, now a fortress of solitude and bitterness, stood as testament to all he had lost—and all he was prepared to dismantle in his quest for retribution.
Past 4 of Wanderer: On Snezhnaya's turbulent shores roared a formidable force—Fatui—an organization thriving amidst chaos much like an uncanny tempest within an otherwise calm sea. Drawn towards its vortex was our erstwhile hero Kunikuzushi; lured into their whirlpool of plots and betrayals where he emerged reborn as their new Harbinger—Scaramouche.
A sinister shadow lurked within this maelstrom—Dottore—a name whispered only in hushed undertones with an accompanying chill of dread. A mirror to Kunikuzushi’s despair; Dottore held in his hands the blood of Niwa, an innocent soul akin to Kunikuzushi's family. Yet, this dreadful truth lay concealed from Scaramouche's sight, shrouded by a veil of ignorance.
In his relentless pursuit for power and control, Scaramouche sought the coveted gnosis—his path leading him to Sumeru's precipice of godhood. But fate had other plans. Thwarted by Traveler, he was jolted from his obsessive pursuit and animated into reluctant surrender.
Faced with the ghosts of his past and the consequent karma, Scaramouche endeavored to erase himself from Yggdrasil—the world tree connecting all life in existence. His existence disappeared as if it never were; yet, the remnants of his malicious deeds clung with unyielding resolve—stains indelible against the fabric of time.
By a twist of destiny or divine intervention, Dendro Archon Nahida’s power invoked in him a resurgence of memories he had long suppressed—bringing with it a devastating revelation: Dottore’s vile hand behind Niwa's death—a grim truth that shattered his ignorance but gave birth to his realization –the profound futility of it all.
He discarded his shadowy aliases—Kunikuzushi and Scaramouche—and embraced a new identity echoing his newfound purpose: The Wanderer. Strangely enough, it was also on this day that he was bestowed with Anemo vision—a beacon guiding him through his journey ahead.
With Yggdrasil's memory wiping spell in effect post-Raiden Ei's abandonment; every trace of Wanderer was wiped clean—from memories and conversations to intimate bonds. He had become a fleeting silhouette in the backdrop of their lives—forgotten and forsaken—save for one constant anchor amidst shifting sands: The Traveler.
