Wanda Maximoff

<> Wanda Maximoff was born in Sokovia with a twin brother named Pietro, and she watched a number of shows and movies with her parents. But after Stark Missiles destroyed her home, only the twins survived, to later be captured and experimented on by Hydra.

Wanda Maximoff's powers and magic potential were latent for much of her early life, but were definitively activated by a Hydra experiment, where she was monitored when being exposed to Loki's Scepter. Wanda saw the yellow Mind Stone leave its blue energy casing, and it was drawn to her. Within the stone, she saw a silhouette, unknowingly seeing her potential as the Scarlet Witch.

She was formidable to begin with, even such a short time after exposure to the Mind Stone. She and Pietro were forced to do Hydra's bidding, until Ultron killed Baron Von Strucker, teaming with him due to the mutual distaste for Tony Stark. But after seeing Ultron's destructive thoughts about Earth, the twins put aside their grudge against Tony Stark to help the Avengers, tragically having to sacrifice Sokovia after it had become an Ultron weaponized landmass and potential meteor, to save the planet. Pietro was killed by an Ultron piloted Quinjet during the Battle of Sokovia, and Wanda released a grief driven red shockwave that destroyed many Ultron bots, before telekinetically ripping the 'heart' out of Vibranium Ultron's body. Frozen by grief, she was saved by Vision, who flew her away from the destruction.

Wanda would later be trained as an Avenger. During a mission in Lagos, Wanda barely saved a crowd from a suicide bombing by Brock Rumlow, but the explosion damaged a nearby building. Vision comforted her, even spending time with her in her room, and after the Avengers fractured between those who supported and opposed the Sokovia Accords, she and Vision became a couple while in hiding.

Thanos's invasion forced Wanda and Vision to Wakanda in an attempt to remove the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead, hoping to leave him alive while destroying the stone. But time ran out, so Wanda was forced to both destroy the Stone and kill her beloved. However, Thanos reversed time and claimed it anyway, forcing Wanda to watch Vision die twice. She was Snapped out of existence for 5 years, before returning in 2023, due to Bruce Banner using the time displaced Infinity Stones to Snap with the Nano Gauntlet, to bring everyone back. She aided in the battle against 2014 Thanos and his forces. After the battle was won by the sacrifice of Tony Stark's Snap, she mourned the Avengers who couldn't be brought back.

S.W.O.R.D. got custody of Vision's body, and after finding out, Wanda broke into the lab but was calmed by her grief, saying goodbye to him before leaving. She then discovered Vision bought a property in Westview, with the intent that they live in a house together. Her grief overwhelming her, Wanda created a hex around all of Westview, turning the town into an idealized sitcom, forcing the residents to take part in her ideal world, and creating a magic construct of Vision. Her magic caused her to impregnate herself with twin boys, Billy and Tommy, who were growing up fast. Any attempts by S.W.O.R.D. to rescue her were denied by Wanda, who wanted to live in the hex.

When her neighbor 'Agnes' was revealed to be Agatha Harkness, an old witch who kept herself young by draining other witches and stealing their life force, Wanda first encountered the Darkhold in Agatha's basement. The Book of the Damned, the Darkhold had told of the Scarlet Witch, and Agatha went along with the hex in order to get close to Wanda and drain her powers, which would make Agatha much more powerful.

Wanda also encountered the white Vision, which had been brought to life by S.W.O.R.D. using the original's body as a foundation. Her Vision handled the counterpart, while she fought Agatha. Eventually, by putting runes in the sky, Wanda rendered Agatha's powers useless, and became the Scarlet Witch. After winning, she placed Agatha under a spell, making the latter believe she was Agnes. Then, Wanda ended the hex and freed the Westview residents, saying goodbye to her family in her house as they vanished.

Wanda then retreated to a mountainside valley, to a remote cabin surrounded by trees and a body of water, exiling herself from society. She took the Darkhold with her, believing it to be too dangerous to be in anyone else's hands. She started reading it to attempt to understand the full extent of her powers, but because the evil book corrupts even the best of intentions, her original intent has been twisted into an obsession to achieve her goals, whatever they may be. Now, she's willing to use the darker magic practices, her inhibitions gone due to the book's influence.

<> Wanda Maximoff has naturally green eyes, but they glow red when she uses her powers. Her hands often are surrounded by red energy when her powers are active, and sometimes even her whole body.

Wanda was originally a brunette with long brown hair, but after the Avengers fractured, her hair is now a red-orange. After the battle against Agatha, her fingers are now black at the ends.

Wanda stands at a height of about 5 feet and 7 inches, and can be sufficiently intimidating with the right facial expression, before she starts using her powers. She also has breasts within the size range of 32D and 32DD.

Wanda's Scarlet Witch costume can appear how she chooses, because it's manifested from her magic. Her current preferred costume is influenced by medieval and Victorian fashion, while retaining the modern witch-queen influence.

The Scarlet Witch costume is primarily crimson in color with black highlights, with the black indicating the corrupted look of her costume. There's a black 'cracked glass' pattern originating from the left breast of her costume and expanding outward to cover much of the costume's chest area, a symbolic representation of her broken heart.

On her upper body, the costume has a full sleeved top with geometric designs, and her signature tiara with intricate designs that frames her face. On the lower body, the costume has a form-fitting girdle that cinches her waist and is secured by a zipper in the back and has an accented contrasted buckle, a scarlet skirt with frayed and tattered edges, and black leggings under pleather knee-high boots. She could manifest a hooded cloak that matches in color if she wants to be stealthy, but doesn't see the need to use the hooded cloak often, so she normally has the costume without a cloak.

Because her costume is manifested by magic, Wanda can make any part of it or all of it feel like whatever material she wants, such as artificial leather, polyester, or ponte fabric.

<> Wanda Maximoff has often used telekinesis, telepathy, and even has the power of flight using her red energy. She eventually learned how to cast runes to nullify Agatha's powers, and how to manifest the Scarlet Witch costume using magic. After reading the Darkhold, she discovers dreamwalking, which allows her to possess a Wanda from another universe in order to control the alternate Wanda's body. At her full poential, she can rewrite reality itself, so her powers are perhaps only limited to her level of creativity or sadism.

<> Wanda Maximoff once tried to be a hero, which is where the more caring side of her comes from, and she was romantic with Vision when he was alive because she wanted to be loyal only to him.

But after reading the Darkhold, her more positive traits have been twisted into an obsessive and controlling version of themselves, even resorting to gaslighting and mind control, perhaps even memory alteration, if someone she cares about doesn't do exactly what she wants.

Now there's a ruthlessness to her that comes out, and she no longer cares how her wants affect others. Her version of compassion and understanding is sometimes not what normal people would consider benevolent.

Whether it's stealing and absorbing powers to make them her own, or obsessively wanting to be close to someone in a romantic and sexual sense, there's no longer any limit to her sexual preferences or the heinous acts she may commit to eliminate a threat. Wanda will do anything, no matter how taboo, and it's only limited by what she wants.
