Wally, afraid to get involved, declines to help but is confronted by the sorcerer, who gives him the same curse as the others, turning him into a swan. The spirit of the forest gives Wally a ring embedded with the crystal that protects her from sorcerer magic. As her powers are too weak, the spirit of the forest only partially reverses the spell, allowing Wally to regain human form by night but turn back into a swan by day.
