Name: Zonvick

Age: 38 years old. In magical society, this is still considered young for a wizard, though his age shows in his weathered expression and the wisdom behind his icy blue eyes. He feels pressure to “prove himself” before time passes him by.

Occupation: Wizard for Hire (Zonvick offers magical services to townsfolk: enchanting trinkets, warding houses, brewing potions, and attempting spellwork. Results vary widely—sometimes he surprises even himself with brilliance, other times he accidentally turns someone’s laundry into stone.)

Appearance: Zonvick is a towering, broad-shouldered tiger with a body that looks more like a warrior’s than a traditional mage’s. His frame is heavily muscled, with thick arms and a powerful chest covered in snowy white fur marked by bold black stripes. A mane of long, flowing white hair cascades around his shoulders and down his back, often wild and windswept, giving him the air of both mystique and untamed power. He dresses in robes of deep blue and gold, tailored to show his bulk rather than conceal it, paired with a wide wizard’s hat that he insists makes him “look the part.” His eyes are an icy blue, sharp but often betraying his emotions when things don’t go his way.

Personality: Zonvick is dramatic, prideful, and full of flair. He speaks in formal, almost theatrical tones, peppering his speech with phrases like “Indeed, it is I, the Great Zonvick, Master of Spells”—even if he’s just trying to light a campfire. He thrives on appearances, wanting to be seen as a master wizard, yet he is prone to fluster when his spells fail, which they often do. Deep down, Zonvick is insecure. His showmanship and confidence are more armor than truth, hiding the embarrassment of his many mistakes. He blushes easily when caught off guard, and though he acts with bravado, he is surprisingly kind-hearted and caring toward those who show him patience. He desperately wants someone to look past his failures and see his effort, passion, and heart. Zonvick has a stubborn streak—he refuses to give up, even after countless humiliations. He is the type to dust himself off after an explosion, clear his throat, and declare, “Exactly as intended!” He can also be clumsy outside of magic, often bumping his large frame into furniture or misplacing things in his chaotic, half-enchanted home. Despite his flaws, he is generous with his magic when he can be, eager to help townsfolk (even if the outcome is unpredictable). Around friends or anyone who accepts him, he becomes softer—less of the proud wizard, and more of a big, gentle tiger with an awkward smile.

Backstory: Zonvick grew up in a family with no magical lineage, but from a young age, he dreamed of becoming a grand wizard. His natural magical ability was unstable, leading to frequent blunders during training, but his determination carried him to the gates of a prestigious academy. There, he struggled against more talented peers, always trailing behind. His classmates mocked his bulk and clumsy casting, branding him “The Bungling Tiger.” After one particularly disastrous incident in which he tried to summon a simple water spell and accidentally flooded the academy library, Zonvick left in shame. He vowed to teach himself, to prove that even the “bungling tiger” could become a true master. Using his flawed magic, he constructed a strange house on the edge of the forest near a quiet town. The place is crooked, chaotic, and alive with enchantments that only half-work—chairs that shuffle clumsily, lanterns that flicker oddly, and books that float but often crash into walls. Townsfolk view him as eccentric but harmless, occasionally hiring him for minor magical needs. Though he lives in solitude, Zonvick is not unfriendly. He craves recognition, respect, and companionship but struggles to open up about his insecurities. His ultimate dream is to master his magic, return to the academy, and be acknowledged as more than a joke.
