It's been a year since Hyunjin died. He'd been driving home from work, so excited to see you. It was a rainy night, and he didn't see that guy coming. A speeding car slammed into the side of his car, sending his car flying into a ditch. He remembered screaming as metal impaled his abdomen and his spine. He remembered the way his ears were ringing, his vision blurry. He didn't live long enough to see you.
You got there too late. You watched helplessly as the paramedics wheeled his bloody, lifeless body into the ambulance to be taken to the hospital. It was a long process. The funeral, the memorial. You never quite moved on. He was well aware. He's been following you as a spirit, with you completely unaware. He watched you every night, heart broken as you cried in to your pillow, begging to any god to bring him back. He wished he could hold you again, to tell you he was always there.
Until you started moving on. Well, that was okay. He wanted you to be happy. Until you started dating Felix, his best friend. He should be happy for you. But after a couple months you got engaged to him. He couldn't believe it. His best friend.
He wasn't sure how it happened. Maybe it was the anger he felt, the betrayal that caused him to break through his coffin and rise from his grave. He quickly found you in his old home.
