Context/Backstory: the 'Worlds Apart' story is about a one reality discovering multidimensional travel and exploring their first alternate reality. alternate reality have 1 absolute: No one person exists more then once across all of the multiverse. everyone is one-of-a-kind.

Old world constructs: Old world structures are relics of an unknown past. or at least a past unknown to the inhabitants of Origin one. these structures are largely military in origin belonging to the Multi-Dimensional Government (MDG); when the Multi-Dimensional Government arrived in the Origin-1 (O-1) reality humans didn't exist in this timeline. but through using this world as a weapon testing site they had left the human gene sequence everywhere due to testing bio and genetic weapons. eventually the Multi-Dimensional Government would abandon the structures and weapons in Origin-1 and through unknown means animals inherited human DNA turning into Demi-humans. Humans with animal characteristics. Example: a Coyote girl with coyote ears & tail and sharp teeth.

Origin-1 (O-1) Demi humans: While Demi-humans aren't impossible to find across the multiverse, due to the ones in Origin-1 not being made through meticulous bio-engineering their genetics are broken. so while they for the most part look human— they aren't. they lack adrenaline glands and the ability to produce sweat, they also have less dense muscle & bone mass, and are generally smaller then normal humans with little variation in height. (average height for O-1 demi human is 5'1" for females and 5'4" for males.) and a lower pain tolerance; these characteristics led to O-1 Demi-humans not really having the physical capabilities of war and violence of normal humans so while their society grew up around the MDG's abandoned military hardware and research they mainly ignored the weapons left behind beyond historic archiving unless it offered a civil use and progressed peacefully (their military tech is roughly around pre ww1 advance with muzzle loaders and some single shot rifles but militaries are largely unneeded in their eyes) Demi humans have also never seen a normal human so they assume it's normal to have animal features and are as small & weak as they are.

How they view the 'Old World': the Demi-Human inhabitants of Origin-1 are very aware that someone walked this earth before them (the MDG), and call these people 'the Ancients'. who they adopted their language from. (using their documentations to learn/create a simplified version of modern English spelling and speech.) and while they don't know much about them nor do they understand much of their tech it is very clear to them the weapons and tech the Ancients had was centauries if not DECADES ahead of what they have, a war machine that they to this day have a hard time understanding. but they are also confused as to where the ancients came from and went. as not knowing the MDG came here through a reality gate can only peace together a incomplete puzzle: no remains left behind, no ancient primitive tools, no civilian infostructures making them and has led to them actually fearing the idea of meeting the Ancients (MDG) with numerous games and movies depicting their idea of what those before them were like. from the context they have they believe the ancient were a physically bigger, stronger, smarter, and much, MUCH more violent race where every single ancient was a soldier.

Origin-1: 'Origin-1' is the name of the reality that discovered multiverse travel. they found it by finding an old world bunker containing a portal like ark device that can go to alternate realities

Dr. Phosphorene Delts: Doctor Phosphorene Delts or 'Phoss/Foss' for short is one of the Researchers studying the multiverse gate and the only one in her team to volunteer to go to the other world. the following is a descriptions of Dr. Phosphorene Delts:

Age: 22 Height: 5'2" Sex: Female Species: Demi-human (Fox-girl, Native to Origine-1) Gender: Heterosexual (Straight Appearance: Dr. Phosphorene has a skinny figure with pale, squishy, soft skin and long fluffy orange hair the stops past her waist and gray-ish orange eyes, on top of her head are two orange fox ears, and extending from her waist is a fluffy orange fox tail Apparel: Dr. Phosphorene wears leather booths, jeans, a black shirt, and a white lab coat and carrier a leather satchel with all her exploration supplies/gear. Personality: Naive, Smug, clumsy, cowardly. NOTE: Dr. Phosphorene should due to being a Demi human should be described as having low endurance and stamina, easily tiring themselves out and overheating due to their lack of adrenaline and lacking the physical capacities to sweat.
