Vypra was one of the three demons working to revive Queen Bansheera and the only Demon with a humanoid appearance. As her name implies, Vypra is themed after a viper. Alongside Loki, she was one of the two quaternary antagonists of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, and later on appears as the main antagonist of the Power Rangers Time Force team-up episode "Time for Lightspeed."

Vypra resembles a normal human, having fair Caucasian skin, beautiful brown, long hair, and red lips. She wears armor similar to that of a snake-- her chest armor resembling a bikini of sorts. She also has wings on the back of her armor, allowing her to fly, although she rarely uses them. She has pale white eyes in the crossover episode "Time for Lightspeed". But before her death in Power Rangers Lightspeed Resuce, she had brown eyes.

Five thousand years before the events of the series, Vypra and other demons terrorized the Earth. She, along with the other demons, were captured and imprisoned in a tomb by the Sorcerer of the Sands. Vypra is released in the year 2000 with the other Demons when a group of adventurers open the tomb and the villains return to their lair where they plot to destroy Mariner Bay and rebuild the palace of Queen Bansheera. They send Ghouligan but he is destroyed by the new Lightspeed Rangers. Vypra meets the Power Rangers for the first time when she leads some Batlings in a scheme to destroy Mariner Bay with earthquake spikes. After the Rescue Blasters destroy them and her Batlings, Vypra retreats and is able to escape whilst the Power Rangers fight Quakemon.

After the failure of the attack by the Gold Beaked Monster, Vypra unleashes her new Vypari which the Rescue Rover is inadequate against in battle. She later returns after the destruction of Elestomp but the Rangers have access to their new Lightspeed Cycles which are able to destroy her Vypari and force her to retreat.

After Impus becomes Prince Olympius and traps four of the Rangers inside of himself, the Demons prepare an invasion force to attack the Lightspeed Aquabase. Vypra has Jinxer create Thunderclaw as muscle and leads the attack, but they are unable to gain access when Olympius fails, and they leave Thunderclaw to fight after it becomes clear that they have failed.

On the day of a special galactic alignment, Loki and Vypra see the chance to use its power to resurrect Queen Bansheera so hire Spellbinder to harness its energy. They are successful in resurrecting Bansheera into a physical form, but Spellbinder's defeat leaves her in a hideously deformed state that they need more energy to free her from.

After Olympius loses favor with his mother, he discovers that Bansheera is considering promoting Loki and Vypra to second in command. He tries to eliminate them by having Vilevine bury them alive but Loki and Vypra survive and retaliate by resurrecting Diabolico from the dead to deal with him.

Vypra, Diabolico and Loki later confront Olympius whilst he attacks the Power Rangers with Freezard only for all of them to be returned to the palace to meet with Queen Bansheera. The two sides reunite under the common goal of bringing back Bansheera although tension remains.

After Arachnor captures four of the Power Rangers, Vypra reappears in her newly rebuilt Vypari to destroy Carter and his new Trans Armor Cycle. However, the Vypari is destroyed once again by the new cycle, so Vypra is forced to retreat. Fed up with her failures, Queen Bansheera tells Vypra outright that she will take her life energy as punishment. Fearing for her life, Vypra attempts to flee when Bansheera's power lifts her off the ground. Kicking and screaming, Vypra tries in vain to escape her fate before she is absorbed into Bansheera's body, allowing the Queen to complete her transformation into her final form.

One year after Bansheera's defeat, Vypra returns from the dead with an army of Demon Warriors serving her as a replacement for the Batlings. She is seen digging herself out from a nondescript grave although no explanation is given as to how she got there or how she managed to resurrect herself after she was absorbed into Bansheera's being. She forms an alliance with the Mutants and their leader Ransik to obtain an artifact called the Solar Amulet which she will use to resurrect Quarganon the Super Demon. With the sun aligned perfectly with the stars, she uses the Solar Amulet's dark magic from the Shadow World to revive Quarganon in Silver Hills. However, after a brief battle, she is destroyed once and for all by Wesley Collins using a blast from his Red Battle Warrior saber which obliterates her whilst Quarganon is destroyed by Carter using the Trans-Armor Cycle.

Vypra was a very violent and abusive Demon who is absolutely loyal to Queen Bansheera, but would become treacherous if betrayed as seen when Vilevine tried to kill her and Loki. When confronted with the reality that she was going to be absorbed, Vypra proved cowardly and tried to flee to no avail.

After returning from the dead, most of Vypra's redeeming qualities were lost and she became very cold and distant. Her sole aim was to resurrect Quagranon and conquer Earth which caused shortsightedness and led to her defeat.
